The Tianlai Cylinder Pathfinder is a radio interferometer array designed to test techniques for 21 cm intensity mapping in the post-reionization Universe,with the ultimate aim of mapping the large scale structure and measuring cosmological parameters such as the dark energy equation of *** of its three parallel cylinder reflectors is oriented in the north-south direction,and the array has a large field of *** the Earth rotates,the northern sky is observed by drift *** array is located in Hongliuxia,a radio-quiet site in Xinjiang,and saw its first light in September *** this first data analysis paper for the Tianlai cylinder array,we discuss the sub-system qualification tests,and present basic system performance obtained from preliminary analysis of the commissioning observations during *** show typical interferometric visibility data,from which we derive the actual beam profile in the east-west direction and the frequency band-pass *** describe also the calibration process to determine the complex gains for the array elements,either using bright astronomical point sources,or an artificial on site calibrator source,and discuss the instrument response stability,crucial for transit *** on this analysis,we find a system temperature of about 90 K,and we also estimate the sensitivity of the array.

地球物理学界长期关注下地壳的低速高导体成因,但很少将其与大规模成矿的下地壳过程相联系。在新疆西北部中亚造山带西南缘的西准噶尔深部探测中,我们发现该晚古生代岛弧的下地壳存在电阻率低于10Ωm的圆柱状高导体,沿达尔布特断层北侧分布,埋深大约为20-50 km,横向延伸长度超过200 km;高导体上方分布有大型哈图-萨尔托海脉型金矿带,成矿年龄约为300 Ma(Wang&Zhu, 2015),与古亚洲洋在该区域俯冲夭折的年龄一致(Xu et al., 2016)。距该带东南方向约30km发现了中型的包谷图斑岩型铜金矿床,成矿年龄约为313 Ma(Shen et al., 2010),处于该区域发生洋脊俯冲而发育板片窗的时间窗口(～315-310 Ma;Tang et al., 2010),

目的急性下呼吸道感染是基层医疗机构的常见疾病。本研究旨在帮助基层临床医生识别具有严重不良后果(死亡、住院、迟发性肺炎)风险的急性下呼吸道感染患者。方法本项前瞻性队列研究在急性下呼吸道感染患者中开展。记录患者特征和临床表现,并通过图表分析30 d内发生的不良事件。采用多因素Logistic回归分析急性下呼吸道感染发生不良后果的预测因素。结果从522个英国全科诊所在2009-2013年期间接诊的患者中,纳入28 846例没有立即转诊至医院治疗的成年急性下呼吸道感染患者。共有325例(1.1%)患者发生了严重不良事件。发生严重不良事件的8个独立预测因素为:用于评估急性下呼吸道感染严重程度的参数(无鼻炎、有发热、胸痛,有临床医生评估的症状的严重性)、患者自身易感性(>65岁,有并发症)、生理影响参数(血氧饱和度<95%、低血压)。总的来说,上述8个因素预测发生严重不良事件的价值为中等[AUC=0.71,95%CI(0.68,0.74)]。具有上述5个或更多因素的患者占4%,发生严重不良事件的风险程度为高(5.7%)。具有上述3或4个因素的患者占35%,发生严重不良事件的风险程度为中(2.0%)。具有上述1或2个因素的患者占61%,发生严重不良事件的风险程度为低(0.5%)。结论在基层医疗机构常规诊疗中,大多数急性下呼吸道感染患者可以被识别出是否具有发生严重不良事件的中度或低度的风险。

The observation of short gamma ray bursts(SGRBs)in the TeV energy range plays an important role in understanding the radiation mechanism and probing potential new physics,such as Lorentz invariance violation(LIV).However,no SGRBs have been observed in this energy range owing to the short duration of SGRBs and the weakness of current *** experiments with new technology are required to detect the very high energy(VHE)emission of *** this study,we simulate the VHE γ-ray emissions from SGRBs and calculate the annu-al detection rate with the High Altitude Detection of Astronomical Radiation(HADAR)***,a set of pseudo-SGRB samples is generated and checked using the observations of the Fermi-GBM,Fermi-LAT,and Swift-BAT *** annual detection rate is calculated from these SGRB samples based on the performance of the HADAR *** a result,the HADAR experiment can detect 0.5 SGRBs per year if the spectral break-off of γ-rays caused by the internal absorption and Klein-Nishina(KN)effect is larger than 100 *** a GRB090510-like GRB in HADAR's view,it should be possible to detect approximately 2000 photons considering the internal absorption and KN *** a time delay assumption due to LIV effects,a simulated light curve of GRB090510 has evident energy *** hope that the HADAR experiment can perform SGRB observa-tions and test our calculations in the future.

Although often used as a reference standard in the breath hydrogen test(BHT), lactulose fermentation produces more hydrogen, compared to starch, and may there fore not be ideal. This study compares inulin with lactulose as reference standa rd in the study of carbohydrate malabsorption. Seventeen patients with malabsorp tion due to chronic pancreatitis and 15 normal controls were studied. Following overnight fasts, BHTs were performed after ingesting 10 g lactulose, 10 g inulin , and 200 g(16 g highly resistant starch) maize meal. Lactulose fermentation pro duced significantly more hydrogen than inulin in patients with malabsorption (97 ±20 vs 45±22 ppm·hr; P < 0.05) and controls (43 ±18 vs 21 ±10 ppm·hr; P < 0.05). Patients produced more hydrogen than controls with both standards (lactul ose, 97 ±20 vs 43 ±18 ppm·hr, P < 0.05; inulin 45 ±22 vs 21 ±10 ppm·hrs; P < 0.05), suggesting adaptation of the colonic flora. Calculated CHO malabsorpti on was 2.5 ±0.8 vs 5.2 ±3.8 g with lactulose and 5.2 ±3.1 vs 11.2 ±9.6 g wit h inulin as standards in controls and patients, respectively (P < 0.05). Lactulo se produces more breath hydrogen than inulin. Calculation of CHO malabsorption u sing these standards is therefore not comparable.

Background: Variegate porphyria (VP) is an autosomal dominant disorder associated with deficient haem synthesis. Recent reports indicate that the clinical penetrance of VP may have been overestimated in studies which predated the availability of DNA-based testing for VP. Objectives: To undertake a study specifically designed to assess the clinical and biochemical penetrance of VP in a kindred characterized by gene status. Methods: We studied a large family carrying the South African founder mutation which is known to result in almost complete haplodeficiency. All informative members were tested for the R59W mutation. Biochemical evidence of porphyria scanning. The presence of clinically expressed porphyria was assessed using a structured questionnaire and telephone or personal interview. Results: Of 62 informative subjects, 33 had inherited the mutation. Of 28 adults, one subject had experienced a single acute attack. She and a further 10 subjects had experienced photosensitivity. The frequency of acute attacks in this family is therefore 4%(95%confidence interval, CI 1-18%), and of photosensitivity is 39.3%(95%CI 24-58%). The sensitivity and specificity of porphyrin analysis in this family were 0.46 (95%CI 0.30-0.64) and 1.00 (95%CI 0.85-1.00)-, respectively, and for plasma scanning the values were 0.85 (95%CI 0.58-0.96) and 1.00 (95%CI 0.72-1.00), respectively. Conclusions: The clinical penetrance of VP in our family is approximately 40%. Many more subjects with VP are diagnosed in an asymptomatic phase than previously, and the acute attack is now an uncommon manifestation of VP. Plasma scanning is more sensitive than faecal porphyrin analysis, but neither is sufficiently sensitive for the detection of carrier status.
