A Spatial Domain Quantum Watermarking Scheme

This paper presents a spatial domain quantum watermarking scheme. For a quantum watermarking scheme,a feasible quantum circuit is a key to achieve it. This paper gives a feasible quantum circuit for the presented scheme. In order to give the quantum circuit, a new quantum multi-control rotation gate, which can be achieved with quantum basic gates, is designed. With this quantum circuit, our scheme can arbitrarily control the embedding position of watermark images on carrier images with the aid of auxiliary qubits. Besides reversely acting the given quantum circuit, the paper gives another watermark extracting algorithm based on quantum measurements. Moreover, this paper also gives a new quantum image scrambling method and its quantum circuit. Differ from other quantum watermarking schemes, all given quantum circuits can be implemented with basic quantum gates. Moreover, the scheme is a spatial domain watermarking scheme, and is not based on any transform algorithm on quantum images. Meanwhile, it can make sure the watermark be secure even though the watermark has been found. With the given quantum circuit, this paper implements simulation experiments for the presented scheme. The experimental result shows that the scheme does well in the visual quality and the embedding capacity.

Intrusion detection systems (IDSs) are deployed to detect anomalies in real time. They classify a network’s incoming traffic as benign or anomalous (attack). An efficient and robust IDS in software-defined networks is an inevitable component of network security. The main challenges of such an IDS are achieving zero or extremely low false positive rates and high detection rates. Internet of Things (IoT) networks run by using devices with minimal resources. This situation makes deploying traditional IDSs in IoT networks unfeasible. Machine learning (ML) techniques are extensively applied to build robust IDSs. Many researchers have utilized different ML methods and techniques to address the above challenges. The development of an efficient IDS starts with a good feature selection process to avoid overfitting the ML model. This work proposes a multiple feature selection process followed by classification. In this study, the Software-defined networking (SDN) dataset is used to train and test the proposed model. This model applies multiple feature selection techniques to select high-scoring features from a set of features. Highly relevant features for anomaly detection are selected on the basis of their scores to generate the candidate dataset. Multiple classification algorithms are applied to the candidate dataset to build models. The proposed model exhibits considerable improvement in the detection of attacks with high accuracy and low false positive rates, even with a few features selected.

Design and Implementation of Trusted-Router Based on Trust Management System

This paper presents a scheme to perform QoS management and assure network security by using the trusted-router based on the Trust Management *** this trusted-router,every IP packet is forwarded and queued by its trust value,which is the quantification of the network's expectation for this packet's and its owner's behavior in the *** outline the algorithms to calculate the trust value of the trusted-router and the IP *** also introduce the trust-based QoS management algorithm and the deployment of the trusted-routers which carry out this *** simulation results show that the least trusted IP packets will be dropped to save resources for those highly trusted IP *** will ecourage all the elements in the network to keep a good trust record.

The Study of Carbamoyl Phosphate Synthetase 1 Deficiency Sheds Light on the Mechanism for Switching On/Off the Urea Cycle

Carbamoyl phosphate synthetase i （CPS1） deficiency （CPS1D） is an inborn error of the urea cycle having autosomal （2q34） recessive inheritance that can cause hyperammonemia and neonatal death or mental retardation. We analyzed the effects on CPS1 activity, kinetic parameters and enzyme stability of missense mutations reported in patients with CPS1 deficiency that map in the 20-kDa C-terminal domain of the enzyme. This domain turns on or off the enzyme depending on whether the essential allosteric activator of CPS 1, N-acetyl- L-glutamate （NAG）, is bound or is not bound to it. To carry out the present studies, we exploited a novel system that allows the expression in vitro and the purification of human CPS1, thus permitting site-directed mutagenesis. These studies have clarified disease causation by individual mutations, identifying functionally important residues, and revealing that a number of mutations decrease the affinity of the enzyme for NAG. Patients with NAG affinity-decreasing mutations might benefit from NAG site saturation therapy with N-carbamyl-L- glutamate （a registered drug, the analog of NAG）. Our results, together with additional present and prior site-directed mutagenesis data for other residues mapping in this domain, suggest an NAG-triggered conformational change in the 134-~4 loop of the C-terminal domain of this enzyme. This change might be an early event in the NAG activation process. Molecular dynamics simulations that were restrained according to the observed effects of the mutations are consistent with this hypothesis, providing further backing for this structurally plausible signaling mechanism by which NAG could trigger urea cycle activation via CPS1.

We present an overview of quantum-safe cryptography(QSC) with a focus on post-quantum cryptography(PQC) and information-theoretic security. From a cryptographic point of view, lattice and code-based schemes are among the most promising PQC solutions. Both approaches are based on the hardness of decoding problems of linear codes with different metrics. From an information-theoretic point of view, lattices and linear codes can be constructed to achieve certain secrecy quantities for wiretap channels as is intrinsically classical-and quantum-safe. Historically, coding theory and cryptography are intimately connected since Shannon’s pioneering studies but have somehow diverged later. QSC offers an opportunity to rebuild the synergy of the two areas, hopefully leading to further development beyond the NIST PQC standardization process. In this paper, we provide a survey of lattice and code designs that are believed to be quantum-safe in the area of cryptography or coding theory. The interplay and similarities between the two areas are discussed. We also conclude our understandings and prospects of future research after NIST PQC standardisation.

The Modified Ensemble Empirical Mode Decomposition Method and Extraction of Oceanic Internal Wave from Synthetic Aperture Radar Image

In this paper a modified ensemble empirical mode decomposition(EEMD) method is presented, which is named winning-EEMD(W-EEMD). Two aspects of the EEMD, the amplitude of added white noise and the number of intrinsic mode functions(IMFs), are discussed in this method. The signal-to-noise ratio(SNR) is used to measure the amplitude of added noise and the winning number of IMFs(which results most frequency) is used to unify the number of IMFs. By this method, the calculation speed of decomposition is improved, and the relative error between original data and sum of decompositions is reduced. In addition, the feasibility and effectiveness of this method are proved by the example of the oceanic internal solitary wave.

Multi-Objective Coordinated Optimization for UAV Charging Scheduling in Intelligent Aerial-Ground Perception Networks

The unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs)-assisted intelligent traffic perception system can provide effective situation awareness. However, UAVs are required to be recharged before the energy is exhausted, which may cause task interruption. To address this concern, the charging UAV(CUAV) is employed to provide wireless charging for the mission UAVs(MUAVs). This paper studies the charging scheduling problem of the CUAV under the premise of optimizing the MUAVs *** first model the MUAVs deployment problem considering the energy consumption and data transmission and establish the CUAV charging model. Then, the above problem is formulated as a multi-objective multi-agent stochastic game process to simplify the decisions-making of MUAVs and CUAV, based on which we propose the utility-based Pareto optimal deployment and charging algorithm, which reduces the computing complexity by equivalent utility of the MUAVs while using KullbackLeibler divergence to constrain solutions. Next, to ensure the effectiveness of policy update, the multi-agent communication protocol is adopted to improve policy exploration efficiency. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm outperforms existing works in terms of energy efficiency and charging by comparing with the Pareto front of different methods, endurance anxiety of the MUAVs,and charging utilization under different task modes.

Tracking of iron-labeled human neural stem cells by magnetic resonance imaging in cell replacement therapy for Parkinson＇s disease

Human neural stem cells（h NSCs） derived from the ventral mesencephalon are powerful research tools and candidates for cell therapies in Parkinson＇s disease. However, their clinical translation has not been fully realized due, in part, to the limited ability to track stem cell regional localization and survival over long periods of time after in vivo transplantation. Magnetic resonance imaging provides an excellent non-invasive method to study the fate of transplanted cells in vivo. For magnetic resonance imaging cell tracking, cells need to be labeled with a contrast agent, such as magnetic nanoparticles, at a concentration high enough to be easily detected by magnetic resonance imaging. Grafting of human neural stem cells labeled with magnetic nanoparticles allows cell tracking by magnetic resonance imaging without impairment of cell survival, proliferation, self-renewal, and multipotency. However, the results reviewed here suggest that in long term grafting, activated microglia and macrophages could contribute to magnetic resonance imaging signal by engulfing dead labeled cells or iron nanoparticles dispersed freely in the brain parenchyma over time.
