Impact of lepton pT threshold on charge asymmetry predictions for inclusive Wboson production in pp collisions at 13 TeV

This paper presents the impact of the lepton transverse momentum p^(l)_(T) threshold on the W boson charge asymmetry predictions in perturbative QCD for the inclusive W^(±)+X→l^(±)v+X production in proton-proton(pp)*** predictions are obtained at various low-p^(l)_(T) thresholds p^(l)_(T)>20,25,30,and 40 GeV in a fiducial region encompassing both the central and forward detector acceptances in terms of the lepton pseudorapidity 0≤ηl≤<*** predicted distributions for the lepton charge asymmetry,which is defined by ηl(Aηl),at the next-to-next-to-leading order(NNLO)accuracy are compared with the CMS and LHCb data at 8 TeV center-of-mass collision *** 8 TeV predictions reproduce the data fairly well within the quoted *** predictions from the CT14 parton distribution function(PDF)model are in a slightly better agreement with the data over the other PDF sets that are *** 13 TeV predictions using various p^(l)_(T) thresholds are reported for An,and the charge asymmetries that are defined in terms of the differential cross sections in bins of the W boson rapidity yw(A_(yw))and transverse momentum(Apw).The NNLO predictions for the Ayw,and Apw distributions are assessed to be in close correlation with the plT *** An,and A_(yw) distributions are particularly shown to be more correlated at a higher ^(l)_(T) *** Apw distributions are also reported from the merged predictions with improved accuracy by the inclusion of the next-to-next-to-next-to-leading logarithm(N^(3)LL)corrections,i.e.,at NNLO+N^(3)*** predicted distributions from various ^(l)_(T) thresholds represent a finer probe in terms of the capability to provide more constraints on the ratio of u and d quark distribution functions in the parton momentum fraction range 10^(-4)

This paper presents perturbative QCD predictions of the electron charge asymmetry for inclusive W^(±)X→e^(±)v+X production in proton-proton(pp)*** QCD calculations are performed at next-to-next-to-leading order(NNLO)accuracy using different parton distribution function(PDF)modelsat 8,13,and 14 TeV center-of-mass energies of CERN LHC pp *** calculations are performed for electrons with transverse momenta above 20 GeV in the forward electron pseudorapidity region 2.0≤ne≤*** predictions are first compared at 8 TeV with the measurements of the LHCb experiment at the LHC for the W^(±)/W^(-)cross section ratio and charge asymmetry *** 8 TeV predictions using NNPDF3.1,CT14,and MMHT2014 PDF sets are reported to be in good agreement with the LHCb data for the entire ne region,justifying the extension of the calculations to 13 and 14 TeV *** charge asymmetry predictions at NNLO accuracy are reported in the forward ne bins at 13 and 14 TeV and compared among NNPDF3.1,CTI4,and MMHT2014 PDF ***,the predicted W^(±)differential cross-section and charge asymmetry distributions based on different PDF scts are found to be consistent with each other for the entire ne *** charge asymmetry distributions are shown to be more sensitive to discriminate among different PDF models in terms of the 14 TeV predictions.

The aim of this study was to investigate the characteristics of liposomes encapsulated ethanolic Cinnamomum verum,Curcuma longa,Zingiber officinale,Syzygium aromaticum and Laurus nobilis extract prepared using lipid phase containing phosphatidylcholine/extract mixture of 10:*** antifungal activity,size,zeta(ζ)potential,morphology,physical stability,heat stability,release in in-vitro digestion,color and differential scanning calorimetry(DSC)were conducted to determine the characteristics of *** extract-loaded liposomes showed prominently antifungal activity against Aspergillus *** Penicillium *** encapsulation efficiency of all samples was 86.60%-92.87%.Curcuma longa loaded liposome had high encapsulation efficiency after freeze dry-rehydration(FD-RH),long-term and freeze-thaw(FT)storage *** thermal stability of Syzygium aromaticum loaded liposomes was higher than the *** highest release values in the in-vitro gastric and intestinal condition were detected in Laurus nobilis loaded *** data of liposomes demonstrated to be the endothermic phase at three different temperature ranges:lipid bilayers transition from gel state to liquid crystal form(1.69-5.31℃),the pre-phase transition temperature(102.16-133.10℃)and the main phase transition temperature(116.47-165.22℃).

This study is a research on the utilization of dairy industry by-products in the practical production and long-term preservation of industrial microbial ***,lyophilized cultures were obtained by freeze-drying of Lactobacillus plantarum bacteria in large quantities and for a constant period of time in skimmed milk-based medium containing 5%acid casein,rennet casein,whey and demineralized *** cryoprotectants did not have significant protection against freeze-drying process,moreover,the use of rennet casein significantly reduced *** efficiency of the preservatives in preserving the viability during storage was very successful compared to the control ***-enriched cultures had high water activity and moisture,but high viability was maintained during *** powder morphologies of the cultures were differentiated by the use of different *** sizes of the cultures were parallel to the moisture *** size and distribution increased with *** thermogravimetric analysis(TGA)and differential scanning calorimetry(DSC)analysis,it was determined that the addition of casein protein increased the degradation temperature of the *** production of freeze-dried cultures became difficult with the use of ***,it was generally concluded that the protective properties of skimmed milk used for the preservation of *** could be improved by the addition of dairy by-products as a protective agent.

Precise point positioning with ambiguity resolution(PPP-AR)is a powerful tool for geodetic and time-constrained applications that require high *** performance of PPP-AR highly depends on the reliability of the correct integer carrier-phase ambiguity *** this study,the performance of narrow-lane ambiguity resolution of PPP using the Least-squares AMBiguity Decorrelation(LAMBDA)and bootstrapping methods is extensively investigated using real data from 55 IGS stations over one-month in *** PPP with 24-,12-,8-,4-,2-,1-and½-h sessions using two different cutoff angles(7°and 30°)was conducted with three PPP modes:***-float and two kinds of ambiguity-fixed PPP using the LAMBDA and bootstrapping methods for narrow-lane AR,*** results show that the LAMBDA method can produce more reliable results for 2 hour and shorter observation sessions com-pared with the bootstrapping method using a 7°cutoff *** a 30°cutoff angle,the LAMBDA method outperforms the bootstrapping method for observation sessions of 4 h and *** long observation times,the bootstrapping method produced much more accurate coordinates compared with the LAMBDA method without considering the wrong fixes *** results also show that occurrences of fixing the wrong integer ambiguities using the bootstrapping method are higher than that of the LAMBDA method.

Many gluten-free foods are prepared from starch-rich ingredients with low protein and fiber content,resulting in poor nutritional and functional *** this study,five different composite legume flours which are prepared from different levels of chickpea,lentil,common bean,soybean and lupin flours were used at 75%level in gluten-free tarhana formulations to improve nutritional ***,effect of baker’s yeast(Saccharomyces cerevisiae)at different levels(2.5%and 5.0%)on physicochemical and sensory attributes of the samples containing composite flours was *** inclusion of composite flours(75%)resulted in lower L^(*) and hue values in tarhana than gluten-free sample without composite *** viscosity of tarhana soup containing“25%chickpea+50%lentil”composite flour(F2)was similar to traditional wheat tarhana soup(p>0.05).The utilization of composite flours containing“50%chickpea+25%lentil”(F1),F2,and“25%chickpea+25%lentil+25%common bean”(F3)in tarhana revealed comparable oil absorption capacity to wheat ***,pH and foaming capacity values of the samples containing composite flours were greater than wheat tarhana and gluten-free tarhana without composite *** addition of composite flours elicited markedly higher ash,protein,fat,and mineral *** phytic acid concentration of tarhana enhanced with the incorporation of composite flour,the use of 5.0%yeast considerably decreased phytic acid content and enriched ash,protein,total phenolic content,Ca,Cu,K,Mg,and P concentrations of tarhana in comparison with tarhana containing 2.5%*** inclusion of F1,F2,and F3 elicited acceptable sensory scores in *** was concluded that gluten-free tarhana prepared from legume composite flours(especially F1,F2,and F3)+5.0%yeast could offer a nutritious and acceptable alternative for gluten-free diet with greater protein and mineral *** on the findings,further studies may evaluate the use of hydrocolloids to improve the tec

Tarhana is a fermented cereal-based product with a sour and acidic taste and yeast *** aim of this study is to improve the nutritional value and functional properties of tarhana with the utilization of different ancient wheat *** this purpose,two different ancient wheat flours;einkorn flour(EKF)and emmer flour(EMF)were used in tarhana formulation replaced with wheat flour at 0,50 and 100%ratios,and the fermentation process was carried out with and without bakers'*** physical,chemical,textural and functional properties of tarhana were *** increased ratio of ancient wheat flour significantly improved the overall measured chemical properties of the *** ash,protein,fat and DPPH values were determined in tarhana prepared with EMF compared to EKF containing ***'yeast usage significantly(p<0.05)affected the fat,phytic acid,total,phenolic content,antioxidant activity and the color value(L*,a*and b*)of tarhana *** supplemented samples had higher span values,as well as lower D[3;2]and D_(50) than those containing *** wheat flour and bakers’yeast usage decreased consistency of the tarhana soups.

AIM: To quantify corneal ultrastructure using laser scanning in vivo confocal microscopy(IVCM) in patients with keratoconus and control subjects. METHODS: Unscarred corneas of 78 keratoconic subjects without a history of contact lens use and 36age-matched control subjects were evaluated with slit-lamp examination(SLE), corneal topography and laser scanning IVCM. One eye was randomly chosen for analysis. Anterior and posterior stromal keratocyte,endothelial cell and basal epithelial cell densities and sub-basal nerve structure were ***: IVCM qualitatively demonstrated enlarged basal epithelial cells, structural changes in sub-basal and stromal nerve fibers, abnormal stromal keratocytes and keratocyte nuclei, and pleomorphism and enlargement of endothelial cells. Compared with control subjects, significant reductions in basal epithelial cell density( 5817 ± 306 cells / mm2 vs 4802 ±508 cells/mm2,P < 0. 001), anterior stromal keratocyte density(800 ±111 cells/mm2 vs 555 ±115 cells/mm2, P <0.001),posterior stromal keratocyte density(333±34 cells/mm2vs270 ±47 cells/mm2, P <0.001), endothelial cell density(2875 ±223 cells/mm2 vs 2686 ±265 cells/mm2, P <0.001),sub-basal nerve fiber density(31.2 ±8.4 nerves/mm2vs18.1 ±9.2 nerves/mm2, P <0.001), sub-basal nerve fiber length(21.4±3.4 mm/mm2 vs 16.1±5.1 mm/mm2, P <0.001),and sub-basal nerve branch density(median 50.0(first quartile 31.2- third quartile 68.7) nerve branches/mm2 vs median 25.0(first quartile 6.2- third quartile 45.3) nerve branches/mm2, P <0.001) were observed in patients with ***: Significant microstructural abnormalities were identified in all corneal layers in the eyes of subjects with keratoconus using IVCM. This non-invasive in vivo technique provides an important means to define and follow progress of microstructural changes in patients with keratoconus.

Teacher Training in Turkey From Historical Perspective

A major educational debate today concerns how to recruit and prepare teachers all over the world. In other words policy makers in education attempt to figure out high quality initial teacher training programs. Similarly, one of the main controversial issues in Turkey is who is going to be a teacher. Alternative programs for recruiting and preparing teacher have been devised, discussed, and applied. However, these programs have been implemented not because of results of research comparing the effectiveness of teachers from different types of preparation backgrounds but the program has been implemented because of current government policies. Since Turkish education system is centralized, the Ministry of National Education appoints all novice teachers according to their scores in the nationwide state examination conducted by state for state employee. Teachers in Turkey are recruited from two sources： One is education faculty graduates to be teacher at elementary, middle and high schools. The other source is different faculty graduates such as faculty of literature, art, science, theology, and etc. to teacher, particularly, at high schools. The aim of this study is to review teacher training and recruitment in Turkey from 1923 to present. The method of this study is to analyze printed document and changing policies and reforms about training and recruiting teachers in Turkish schools. During the Republic Era teacher training policies and applications have been changed several times radically. In addition, the effectiveness of factors on teacher training policies in terms of year and theory is indicated.
