End-to-end text spotting is a vital computer vision task that aims to integrate scene text detection and recognition into a unified *** methods heavily rely on region-of-interest(Rol)operations to extract local features and complex post-processing steps to produce final *** address these limitations,we propose TextFormer,a query-based end-to-end text spotter with a transformer ***,using query embedding per text instance,TextFormer builds upon an image encoder and a text decoder to learn a joint semantic understanding for multitask *** allows for mutual training and optimization of classification,segmentation and recognition branches,resulting in deeper feature sharing without sacrificing flexibility or ***,we design an adaptive global aggregation(AGG)module to transfer global features into sequential features for reading arbitrarilyshaped texts,which overcomes the suboptimization problem of Rol ***,potential corpus information is utilized from weak annotations to full labels through mixed supervision,further improving text detection and end-to-end text spotting *** experiments on various bilingual(i.e.,English and Chinese)benchmarks demonstrate the superiority of our *** on the TDA-ReCTS dataset,TextFormer surpasses the state-of-the-art method in terms of 1-NED by 13.2%.

Sinc. the fully convolutional network has achieved great success in semantic segmentation,lots of works have been proposed to extract discriminative pixel ***,the authors observe that existing methods still suffer from two typical challenges:(i)The intra-class feature variation between different scenes may be large,leading to the difficulty in maintaining the consistency between same-class pixels from different scenes;(ii)The inter-class feature distinc.ion in the same scene could be small,resulting in the limited performance to distinguish different classes in each *** authors first rethink se-mantic segmentation from a perspective of similarity between pixels and class *** weight vector of the segmentation head represents its corresponding semantic class in the whole dataset,which can be regarded as the embedding of the class ***,the pixel-wise classification amounts to computing similarity in the final feature space between pixels and the class *** this novel view,the authors propose a Class Center Similarity(CCS)layer to address the above-mentioned challenges by generating adaptive class centers conditioned on each scenes and supervising the similarities between class *** CCS layer utilises the Adaptive Class Center Module to generate class centers conditioned on each scene,which adapt the large intra-class variation between different *** designed Class Distance Loss(CD Loss)is introduced to control both inter-class and intra-class distances based on the predicted center-to-center and pixel-to-center ***,the CCS layer outputs the processed pixel-to-center similarity as the segmentation *** experiments demonstrate that our model performs favourably against the state-of-the-art methods.

The paper develops a multiple matching attenuation method based on extended filtering in the curvelet domain,which combines the traditional Wiener filtering method with the matching attenuation method in curvelet ***,the method uses the predicted multiple data to generate the Hilbert transform records,time derivative records and time derivative records of Hilbert ***,the above records are transformed into the curvelet domain and multiple matching attenuation based on least squares extended filtering is ***,the attenuation results are transformed back into the time-space *** on the model data and field data show that the method proposed in the paper effectively suppress the multiples while preserving the primaries ***,it has higher accuracy in eliminating multiple reflections,which is more suitable for the multiple attenuation tasks in the areas with complex structures compared to the time-space domain extended filtering method and the conventional curvelet transform method.

Surgical site infections(SSI)following total joint arthroplasty pose a significant concern for both providers and patients across the ***,administration of antimicrobial antibiotic prophylaxis is used throughout the world to reduce the inc.dence of ***,the correct dosage and frequency of administration remains *** this editorial,we emphasized the determination of the effect of administration of weight-adjusted antimicrobial antibiotic prophylaxis regime on the inc.dence of SSI and postoperative dosage reduction compared to the conventionally used regime during total joint *** results demonstrated similar efficacy between both regimes with respect to the inc.dence of *** addition,weight-adjustment led to reduced postoperative dosage and has the potential to reduce chances of achieving lower therapeutic concentration,drug resistance,drug toxicity,and costs.

Knees are the most commonly impacted weight-bearing joints in osteoarthritis(OA),affecting millions of people *** inc.easing life spans and obesity rates,the inc.dence of knee OA will further inc.ease,leading to a significant inc.ease in the economic *** treatment modalities utilized to manage knee OA have *** the last decade,the role of various autologous peripheral blood-derived orthobiologics(APBOs)for the treatment of knee OA has been extensively *** editorial provided an overview and focused on defining and shedding light on the current state of evidence based on the most recent published clinical studies concerning the use of APBO for the management of knee *** numerous studies have demonstrated promising results for these preparations,a notable gap exists in the comparative analysis of these diverse *** absence of head-to-head studies poses a considerable challenge for physicians/surgeons in determining the optimal preparation for managing knee OA and achieving sustained longterm ***,more adequately powered,multicenter,prospective,doubleblind,randomized controlled trials with longer follow-ups are needed to establish the long-term efficacy and to aid physicians/surgeons in determining the optimal APBO for the management of knee OA.
