A small, high performance X-band hybrid dielectric-iris-loaded travelling-wave linac with the length of 1.47 m and the maximum accelerating gradient of 45 MV/m has been designed. The beam energy of 33 MeV, the energy spread of 0.5%, the beam emittance of about 5.7 πmm·mrad and the capture efficiency of 40% are reached by adjusting the sizes of the accelerating cavities and the phase velocity. The attenuation per unit length of structure, the shunt impedance Rs, the quality factor Q, the group velocity and the phase velocity are also presented.

The research deals with the methodology intended to root robust quality indices in the interval control system, the parameters of which are affinely included in the coefficients of a characteristic polynomial. To determine the root quality indices we propose to depict on the root plane not all edges of the interval parametric polytope(as the edge theorem says), but its particular vertex-edge route. In order to define this route we need to know the angle sequence at which the edge branches depart from any integrated pole on the allocation area. It is revealed that the edge branches can integrate into the route both fully or partially due to intersection with other branches. The conditions which determine the intersection of one-face edge images have been proven. It is shown that the root quality indices can be determined by its ends or by any other internal point depending on a type of edge branch. The conditions which allow determining the edge branch type have been identified. On the basis of these studies we developed the algorithm intended to construct a boundary vertex-edge route on the polytope with the interval parameters of the system. As an illustration of how the algorithm can be implemented, we determined and introduced the root indices reflecting the robust quality of the system used to stabilize the position of an underwater charging station for autonomous unmanned vehicles.

The synthesis of α-ZrP with a range of crystallinity is of high importance due to the different requirements in various *** crystalline α-ZrP is typically obtained by refluxing amorphous ZrP in concentrated H3PO4 *** α-ZrP are obtained by direct precipitation in the presence of either HF or oxalic acid which are used as complexing agents for *** larger crystals are useful as ion-exchangers in column-type applications as the back pressure can be significantly reduced.A novel minimalistic synthesis that is green,simple and fast is highlighted in this *** nano-sized and micro-sized α-ZrP can be prepared via this protocol to meet many potential *** of α-ZrP in ion-exchange,catalysis,lubricants,intercalation hosts,polymer fillers and fire retardants are discussed.

Geolocation using spaceborne synthetic aperture radar(SAR) is essential for imagery applications,and high performance geolocation methods need to be developed to promote SAR imagery *** from the SAR imaging principle,this paper reveals and analyzes two basic characteristics of SAR imaging geometry,and demonstrates the rationality of the two *** this basis,a high-precision and fast geolocation method is *** conducted a precision analysis on four SAR satellites(Germany's TerraSAR-X,Italy's COSMO-SkyMed,Japan's ALOS-PalSAR and Canada's Radarsat-2 satellites),and the results show that the precision of the proposed method meets practical *** then used TerraSAR-X SpotLight SAR real data to implement the fast geolocation,and found from performance evaluation that the computation cost is greatly reduced while high geolocation accuracy is *** thus verified the efficiency and accuracy of the proposed method.

A high power narrow-linewidth nanosecond all-fiber laser based on the master oscillator power amplifier(MOPA)configuration is demonstrated. A pulsed seed with high repetition rate of 10 MHz was generated by modulating a continuous-wave(CW) single-frequency fiber laser at ～1064 nm by using an electro-optic intensity modulator(EOIM).After multi-stage cascaded power amplification, the average power was boosted to be kilowatt level. The pulses from the main amplifier had a pulse width of ～3 ns and an average/peak power of 913 W/28.6 kW. Further power scaling of the pulses was limited by stimulated Raman scattering(SRS) for the moment, method for SRS suppression and further power scaling was briefly discussed.

The utility of a passive fourth-harmonic cavity plays a key role in suppressing longitudinal beam insta- bilities in the electron storage ring and lengthens the bunch by a factor of 2.6 for the phase I[ project of the Hefei Light Source （HLS II ）. Meanwhile, instabilities driven by higher-order modes （HOM） may limit the performance of the higher-harmonic cavity. In this paper, the parasitic coupled-bunch instability, which is driven by narrow band parasitic modes, and the microwave instability, which is driven by broadband HOM, are both modeled analytically. The analytic modeling results are in good agreement with those of our previous simulation study and indicate that the passive fourth-harmonic cavity suppresses parasitic coupled-bunch instabilities and microwave instability. The modeling suggests that a fourth-harmonic cavity may be successfully used at the HLS II.

An easy-to-implement scheme called Enhanced High Gain Harmonic Generation is expected to be able to significantly enhance the performance of HG-FEL. In this paper we investigate the effects of the system parameters in the new scheme, including the electron energy detuning, initial electron-beam energy spread, seeding laser power, dispersive field strength and amount of the phase shift, etc. The numerical results from GENESIS （3D-code） are presented and show that the new scheme has acceptable parameters tolerance requirements and is no more or even less sensitive to the system parameters than that of the existing scheme; With the electron energy above the resonance, the efficiency is enhanced for both the new scheme and the existing scheme compared with the resonant energy case.
