Long-read sequencing with nanopore technology has been widely utilized for the identification of the full-length sequence of RNA molecules."It is especially suitable for the identification of circular RNAs(circRNAs),which are regulatory molecules that are regarded as promising non-invasive biomarkers for various human malignancies,including breast cancer.2 The impact of circRNAs derived from the protein arginine methyltransferase 1(PRMT1)gene has not been clarified yet,even though the effect of PRMT1-mediated methylation on breast cancer cell characteristics has been well established.

Clinical practice guidelines drive clinical practice and clinicians rely to them when trying to answer their most common *** of the most important position papers in the field of gastro-esophageal reflux disease(GERD)is the one produced by the Lyon *** an updated second version has been *** nocturnal baseline impedance(MNBI)was proposed by the first Consensus to act as supportive evidence for GERD *** a cut-off of 2292 Ohms was proposed,a value revised in the second *** updated Consensus recommended that an MNBI2500 Ohms can be used to refute *** proposed cut-offs move in the correct direction by diminishing the original cut-off,nevertheless they arise from a study of normal subjects where cut-offs were provided by measuring the mean value±2SD and not in symptomatic ***,data exist that even symptomatic patients with inconclusive disease or reflux hypersensitivity(RH)show lower MNBI values in comparison to normal subjects or patients with functional heartburn(FH).Moreover,according to the data,MNBI,even among symptomatic patients,is affected by age and body mass ***,various studies have proposed different cut-offs by using receiver operating characteristic curve analysis even lower than the one ***,no information is given for patients submitted to on-proton pump inhibitors pH-impedance studies even if new and extremely important data now ***,even if MNBI is an extremely important tool when trying to approach patients with reflux symptoms and could distinguish conclusive GERD from RH or FH,its values should be interpreted with caution.

A common reclamation practice for closed coal surface mines is filling them with water to form pit *** creation and sustainability of these lakes are significantly affected by the stability of the corresponding *** present study provides a general framework for analyzing the water filling’s effect on slope stability based on a new water filling index,which can indirectly consider the factors affecting the process and efficiently quantify the filling speed’s *** assumptions of the proposed approach are thoroughly discussed,and the range of the water filling index is ***,the safety factor is calculated using the finite element method with the shear strength reduction technique during the filling process for various conditions(soil properties,slope geometry,hydraulic conditions,and water filling speed).Results are presented as normalized stability charts for practical *** the water filling,the stability gradually decreases until the reservoir reaches a critical level of 10%e40%of the total height;it then increases to even more stable conditions than the initial ***,the present analysis allows for the preliminary stability evaluation of a coal mine during the formation of a pit lake and the appropriate quantification of the water filling’s effect.

The reduction of speed limits in urban roads through traffic calming schemes intends to ensure safer traffic conditions among road users by reducing the probability related to the occurrence of severe *** it from a different perspective,traffic calming measures can potentially resolve congestion problems at the same time by lowering the overall accessibility and attractiveness of private cars in urban *** study proposes a new methodological approach to explore and assess the direct impacts of traffic calming in the transport system efficiency of a metropolitan *** multi-agent transport simulation(MATSim)and Open-Berlin scenario are utilized to perform this simulation *** developing a new external tool,the free flow speed and road capacity of each network link is updated based on new speed limits and different compliance rates,which are defined per road hierarchy *** test scenarios that are formulated present radical conditions,where the speed limit in most urban roads of Berlin drops to 30 km/h or even 15 km/*** findings of this study show a considerably high increase in trips,passenger hours,and passenger kilometers using public transport modes,when traffic calming links are introduced,the reserve change is observed in private cars *** the speed limits are decreased in inner urban roads in most of the scenarios,the decrease of average travel speed of private cars is not so high as it was ***,private cars are used for longer distances in all test *** drivers seem to use already existed motorways and private road to *** simulations,driver compliance to the new speed limits seems to be a determinant factor that is strongly influenced by the design interventions applied in a traffic calming area.

Chronic heart failure(HF)is a clinical syndrome with high morbidity and mor-tality *** rehabilitation(CR)is a medically supervised program designed to maintain or improve cardiovascular health of people living with HF,recommended by both American and European guidelines.A CR program con-sists of a multispecialty group including physicians,nurses,physiotherapists,trainers,nutritionists,and psychologists with the common purpose of improving functional capacity and quality of life of chronic HF *** activity,lifestyle,and psychological support are core components of a successful CR *** has been shown to be beneficial in all ejection fraction categories in HF and most patients,who are stable under medication,are capable of *** individualized exercise prescription should be developed on the basis of a baseline evaluation in all *** main modalities of exercise training are aerobic exercise and muscle strength training of different intensity and *** is important to set the appropriate clinical outcomes from the beginning,in order to assess the effectiveness of a CR *** are still significant limitations that prevent patients from participating in these programs and need to be solved.A significant limitation is the generally low quality of research in CR and the presence of negative trials,such as the rehabilitation after myocardial infarction trial,where comprehensive rehabilitation following myocardial infraction had no important effect on mortality,morbidity,risk factors,or health-related quality of life or *** the present editorial,we present all the updated knowledge and recommendations in CR programs.

AIM:To evaluate the alterations of the retinal microvasculature and foveal avascular zone in patients with Parkinson’s disease(PD)using optical coherence tomography angiography(OCT-A).METHODS:A retrospective study of PD patients examined in the Ophthalmology Department of the General Hospital of athens,“Georgios Gennimatas”from March 2021 to March 2022 was *** 44 patients with PD were included and 18 healthy controls were examined,hence a total of 124 eyes were enrolled in the *** foveal and parafoveal superficial and deep capillary plexus vascular density(fSCP-VD,fDCP-VD,pSCP-VD,pDCP-CD)and foveal avascular zone(FAZ)were quantified with *** coherence tomography(OCT)was used to measure macular *** statistical analysis was conducted by using a mixed effect linear regression ***:After adjustment for age and gender,the mean parafoveal superficial capillary plexus vascular density(pSCP-VD)and mean parafoveal deep capillary plexus vascular density(pDCP-VD)were significantly decreased in individuals with PD(P<0.001 in both)by-2.35(95%CI-3.3,-1.45)and-7.5(95%CI-10.4,-4.6)***-VD and fDCP-VD didn’t approach statistical *** FAZ area and perimeter were significantly decreased(P<0.001 in both)by-0.1 mm^(2)(95%CI-0.13,-0.07)and-0.49 mm^(2)(95%CI-0.66,-0.32)*** didn’t approach statistical *** retinal thickness(CRT)was significantly decreased in individuals with PD(P<0.001)by-23.1μm(95%CI-30.2,-16)and temporal retinal thickness(TRT)was decreased(P=0.025)by-11μm(95%CI-22,-1.5)while nasal retinal thickness(NRT)only approached statistical significance(P=0.066).CONCLUSION:The mean pSCP-VD,pDCP-VD,CRT and TRT are significantly decreased and FAZ is altered in individuals with *** findings can be potentially used as biomarkers for the diagnosis and evaluation of early PD.
