Humanity is facing an enormous and growing worldwide threat from the emergence of multi-drug-resistant(MDR)Gram-negative bacteria such as Escherichia coli,Klebsiella pneumoniae,and Acinetobacter *** B and E(colistin)constitute the last-line therapies for treating MDR Gram-negative *** is a cationic antibacterial peptide that can destroy the outer membrane of Gram-negative *** the increasing clinical application of polymyxin,however,there have been many reports of the occurrence of polymyxin-resistant Gram-negative *** resistance is mainly mediated by the modification or complete loss of lipopolysaccharide(LPS).LPS is also a virulence factor of Gram-negative bacteria,and alterations of LPS may correlate with *** it is generally believed that the biological costs associated with drug resistance may enable benign susceptible bacteria to overcome resistant bacteria when antibiotic pressure is reduced,some studies have shown that polymyxin-resistant bacteria are associated with higher virulence and greater fitness compared with their susceptible *** predict the development of polymyxin resis-tance and evaluate interventions for its mitigation,it is important to understand the relative biological cost of polymyxin resistance compared with *** impact of polymyxin resistance mecha-nisms on the virulence and fitness of these three Gram-negative bacteria are summarized in this review.

Assessment tools for differential diagnosis of neglect: Focusing on egocentric neglect and allocentric neglect

BACKGROUND There are very few studies on the differential diagnosis between egocentric neglect(EN)and allocentric neglect(AN).AIM To investigate the overall trend of the previously developed assessment tools by conducting a descriptive review of the studies on assessment tools that can perform a differential diagnosis of EN and *** The data were collected by using databases such as Google Scholar,PubMed,and *** most commonly used search terms were“neglect”,“stroke”,“egocentric neglect”,and“allocentric neglect”.RESULTS A total of seven studies that met the inclusion criteria were selected and *** were able to confirm the research process,test method,and differential diagnosis criteria of the seven presented assessment tools from four studies on paper-based tests and three studies on computerized *** majority of the tests were carried out via the cancellation method using stimuli such as everyday objects or *** distinguished the left from right based on the test paper,while AN distinguished the left from right based on *** order to perform differential diagnosis,the difference in the number of left and right responses or non-responses was used based on the EN and AN *** It was confirmed that all the seven assessment tools can effectively perform differential diagnosis of EN and *** study may provide important data that can be used in clinical practice for differential diagnosis and future intervention planning for neglect patients.

Optimism,Social Support,and Caregiving Burden among the Long-Term Caregivers:The Mediating Effect of Psychological Resilience

Background:As the elderly population grows,the demand for long-term care services is *** significant investments in care quality and workforce training,long-term care workers often face challenges such as work fatigue,heavy workloads,and inadequate *** issues can impact job satisfaction,mental health,and care quality,leading to staff *** study examines how optimism,social support,and psychological resilience relate to caregiving burden,aiming to understand their effects on caregivers’well-being and performance to enhance the quality of long-term care ***:The participants were 542 long-term care *** statistics,t-tests,one-way ANOVA,and hierarchical regression were used for data ***:(1)Optimism and social support were significantly and positively correlated with psychological resilience and significantly and negatively associated with caregiving burden.(2)Regarding differences in optimism,social support,psychological resilience,and caregiving burden among long-term care workers,females scored significantly higher than males in“social support;”married workers scored significantly higher than unmarried workers in“optimism,”“social support,”and“psychological resilience”;workers aged 45–65 scored significantly higher than those aged 25–45 in“optimism”;workers aged 25–45 scored significantly higher than those aged 45–65 in“caregiving burden”;social workers scored significantly higher than nursing staff in“optimism.”(3)Psychological resilience partially mediated the relationship between social support and caregiving burden concerning explanatory and predictive ***:These findings suggest that optimism,social support,and psychological resilience are essential factors in reducing the caregiving burden among long-term care *** study highlights the importance of promoting psychological resilience and providing social support to alleviate the burden of caregiving.

Life Cycle Assessment of Different Sea Cucumber(Apostichopus japonicus Selenka) Farming Systems

The life cycle assessment was employed to evaluate the environmental impacts of three farming systems(indoor intensive, semi-intensive and extensive systems) of sea cucumber living near Qingdao, China, which can effectively overcome the interference of inaccurate background parameters caused by the diversity of economic level and environment in different regions. Six indicators entailing global warming potential(1.86 E + 04, 3.45 E + 03, 2.36 E + 02), eutrophication potential(6.65 E + 01,-1.24 E + 02,-1.65 E + 02), acidification potential(1.93 E + 02, 4.33 E + 01, 1.30 E + 00), photochemical oxidant formation potential(2.35E-01, 5.46E-02, 2.53E-03), human toxicity potential(2.47 E + 00, 6.08E-01, 4.91 E + 00) and energy use(3.36 E + 05, 1.27 E + 04, 1.48 E + 03) were introduced in the current study. It was found that all environmental indicators in the indoor intensive farming system were much higher than those in semi-intensive and extensive farming systems because of the dominant role of energy input, while energy input also contributed as the leading cause factor for most of the indicators in the semi-intensive farming system. Yet in the extensive farming system, infrastructure materials played a major role. Through a comprehensive comparison of the three farming systems, it was concluded that income per unit area of indoor intensive farming system was much higher than those of semi-intensive and extensive farming systems. However, the extensive farming system was the most sustainable one. Moreover, adequate measures were proposed, respectively, to improve the environmental sustainability of each farming system in the present study.

Experimental and computational analysis of the structure-activity relationship of ionic gel electrolytes based on bistrifluoromethanesulfonimide salts for supercapacitors

Ionic gel(IG)electrolytes are emerging as promising components for the development of next-generation supercapacitors(SCs),offering benefits in terms of safety,cost-effectiveness,and *** ionic conductivity,stability,and mechanical properties of the gel electrolyte are relevant factors to be considered and the key to improving the performance of the ***,the structure–activity relationship between the internal structure of IGs and their SC properties is not fully *** the current study,the intuitive and regular structure–activity relationship between the structure and properties of IGs was revealed via combining computational simulation and *** terms of conductivity,the ionic liquid(IL)([EMIM][TFSI])in the IG has a high self-diffusion coefficient calculated by molecular dynamics simulation(MDS),which is conductive to transfer and then improves the *** radial distribution function of the MDS shows that the larger the g(r)between the particles in the polymer network,the stronger the *** stability,IGs based on[EMIM][TFSI]and[EOMIM][TFSI]ILs have higher density functional theory calculated binding energy,which is reflected in the excellent thermal stability and excellent capacitor cycle *** on the internal pore size distribution and stress-strain characterization of the gel network([ME3MePy][TFSI]and[BMIM][TFSI]as additives),the highly crosslinked aggregate network significantly reduces the internal mesoporous distribution and plays a leading role in improving the mechanical properties of the *** using this strategy,it will be possible to design the ideal structure of the IG and achieve excellent performance.

Hybrid alternate projection algorithm and its application for practical conformal array pattern synthesis

Effect of emodin on mobility signal transduction system of gallbladder smooth muscle in Guinea pig with cholelithiasis

Objective: To study the effect of emodin on protein and gene expressions of the massagers in mobility signal transduction system of cholecyst smooth muscle cells in guinea pig with cholesterol calculus. Methods: The guinea pigs were randomly divided into 4 groups, such as control group, gall-stone(GS) group, emodin group and ursodesoxycholic acid(UA) group. Cholesterol calculus models were induced in guinea pigs of GS, emodin and UA groups of induced models by lithogenic diet, while emodin or UA were given to the corresponding group for 7 weeks. The histomorphological and ultrastructure change of gallbladder were detected by microscope and electron microscope, the content of plasma cholecystokinin(CCK) and [Ca^(2+)]i were analyzed successively by radioimmunoassay and flow cytometry. The protein and mR NA of Gsα, Giα and Cap in cholecyst cells were determined by western blotting and real time polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR). Results: Emodin or UA can relieve pathogenic changes in epithelial cells and muscle cells in gallbladder of guinea pig with cholesterol calculus by microscope and transmission electron microscope. In the cholecyst cells of GS group, CCK levels in plasma and [Ca^(2+)]i decreased, the protein and m RNA of GS group were downregulated,the protein and m RNA of Gi and Cap were up-regulated. Emodin significantly decreased the formative rate of gallstone, improved the pathogenic change in epithelial cells and muscle cells, increased CCK levels in plasma and [Ca^(2+)]i in cholecyst cells, enhanced the protein and mR NA of Gs in cholecyst cells, reduced the protein and mR NA of Gi and Cap in cholecyst cells in guinea pig with cholesterol calculus. Conclusion: The dysfunction of gallbladder contraction gives rise to the disorders of mobility signal transduction system in cholecyst smooth muscle cells, including low content of plasma CCK and [Ca^(2+)]i in cholecyst cells, abnormal protein and mRNA of Gs, Gi and Cap.
