Phytophthora infestans, the causative agent of potato late blight, poses a destructive threat to global agricultural production. Herein, a 3D DNA scaff old is elaborately designed as DNA tracks for accelerating the walking process of the quadruped walker, further accompanied by the perylene-3,4,9,10-tetracarboxylic dianhydride（PTCDA）/CdS/TiO2photoelectrode for the detection of RNA in Phytophthora infestans. Upon interaction with the target RNA, the quadruped walker was released to expeditiously walk along the 3D DNA scaff old and initiate the unfolding of hairpin 1（H1）, where H1 could completely pair with the alkaline phosphatase-modified hairpin 2（AP-H2）. Impressively, compared to traditional DNA track, the unique structure of the 3D DNA scaff old with equidistant binding sites and high continuity endowed the quadruped walker with a faster walking rate and better reaction efficiency. Consequently, a substantial quantity of AP-H2 was anchored, causing the hydrolysis of ascorbic acid 2-phosphate（AAP） into ascorbic acid（AA） by the immobilized AP. AA, as an active electron donor, can significantly increase the photocurrent signal. Thus, the proposed biosensor presents remarkable sensitivity in RNA detection with a detection limit down to 3.3 fM. This strategy of designing a 3D DNA scaff old as a DNA track provides a high-efficiency sensing platform and a valuable potential application for other biomarker detection.

The daily intake of total dietary fiber (TDF) was evaluated from data of the national nutrition Survey (NNS) in Japan for 41 years since 1947. An interrelationship between the nutrient intake, including TDF, and the mortality from colon cancer in Japanese people was calculated by a simple correlation coefficient and time-series correlation *** intake per capita decreased rapidly from 27.4 g in 1947 to 15.8 g in 1963, and subsequently decreased by a lesser rate to 15.3 g in 1987. Fat intake increased rapidly from 18.0 g in 1950 to 56.6 g in *** age-adjusted mortality from colon cancer shows a significant positive correlation with both the intakes of animal protein and of total fat, and the fat energy ratio. A time-series analysis indicates that the mortality from colon cancer was negatively correlated with TDF with a 15-27 year delay, the maximum correlation existing with a 23-year lag (r = -0.947). The TDF intake was less than 17.9 g in 1965. At the same time, the mortality from colon cancer increased rapidly. A fat/TDF ratio above 3.0 resulted in a rapid increase in colon cancer *** non-adjusted mortality from colon cancer has much the same interrelationship with TDF and fat intake as the adjusted figures. It is suggested that the cause of the increased mortality from colon cancer in Japan is positively related to the increased intake of fat and protein. In addition, the decrease in TDF intake has accelerated the mortality of colon cancer after a delay of 23-24 years. The importance of fat/TDF as a nutritional criterion for the incidence of colon cancer needs to be better recognized

This article summarizes the epidemiological characteristics and clinical manifest-ations of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD).The incidence of NAFLD has been increased dramatically and become the leading cause of chronic liver disease *** addition to its adverse outcomes of liver fibrosis,cirrhosis,and hepatocellular carcinoma,and related complications,NAFLD has recently been found to be associated with the high-risk extrahepatic carcinomas,such as various types of lung cancer(i.e.,lung adenocarcinoma,squamous cell carcinoma,and small cell lung cancer).The presence of hepatic steatosis also predisposes lung cancer to liver metastasis,but has better response to immune checkpoint *** other factors(i.e.,gender,smoking,etc.)are associated with NAFLD and lung cancer remains *** also comment on the reciprocal rela-tionships between NAFLD and components of metabolic *** meta-bolic syndrome components are suggested to facilitate lung cancer development via activating insulin/insulin-like growth factor *** addition,suppressed anti-tumor immunity and accelerated tumor progression could be attributed to the cell-specific metabolic reprogramming in condition of high-fat diet and related *** findings may reveal the role of NAFLD in pulmonary carcinoma and help develop new treatment strategies for this disease.
