Study on healthcare level and its relationship with medical radiation in China

Objective:To evaluate the health-care level(HCL),one of the most extensively used indicators to assess the level of medical exposure,and its influencing factors in ***:Based on the data from the China Statistical Yearbook of the national Bureau of Statistics and other public documents,HCL was calculated in terms of the number of physicians per head of population throughout the *** linear regression was used to analyze the association of HCL with main socioeconomic factors,including population size,area,number of administrative divisions and gross domestic product(GDP).Results:Since 2015,there has been at least one physician for every 1,000 people in China on ***,by 2019,there has yet been one physician for more than 1,000 people in each of two *** 2020,there was at least one physician for every 1,000 people across all 31 provincial-level administrative districts(provinces).The population size and GDP were the influencing factors on HCL,with correlation coefficients of 0.416 and-0.583,***,a moderate correlation was found between HCL and the frequency of medical exposure(FME)to ionizing radiation(r=-0.620,P=0.028).Conclusion:There has been at least one physician for every 1,000 people since 2015,but there are great differ-ences between various *** as an indicator to evaluate level of medical exposure is warranted further research in China.

Firstly, according to the regulation of growth and decay of radioactive nuclides produced in reactions, a formula used to calculate the total activation cross section of all possible reactions producing the same radioactive nuclide for the same element is deduced, and it is pointed out that the activation formula given in two references is incorrect. Then, as an example, the so-called total activation cross section in one of the two references is analyzed and the correct results of the cross sections of ^182W（n,p）^182（m＋g）Ta, ^183W（n,p）^183Ta and ^206Pb（n,α）^203Hg induced by neutrons around 14 MeV calculated with the data given in the literature, the nuclear parameters and some evaluated values are given. Finally, the correct results are compared with other values collected in the literature.

Objective We aimed to analyze the current indoor radon level and estimate the population risk of radon-induced lung cancer in urban areas of *** Using the passive monitoring method,a new survey on indoor radon concentrations was conducted in 2,875 dwellings across 31 provincial capital cities in Chinese mainland from 2018 to *** attributable risk of lung cancer induced by indoor radon exposure was estimated based on the risk assessment *** The arithmetic mean(AM)and geometric mean(GM)of indoor radon concentrations were 65 Bq/m^(3)and 55 Bq/m^(3),respectively,with 13.6%of measured dwellings exceeding 100 Bq/m^(3)and 0.6%exceeding 300 Bq/m^(3).The estimated number of lung cancer deaths induced by indoor radon exposure was 150,795,accounting for 20.30%(95%CI:20.21%-20.49%)of the lung cancer death *** This study provided the most recent data on national indoor radon levels in urban areas and the attributable risk of lung *** results served as an important foundation for further research on the disease burden of indoor radon exposure and radon mitigation efforts.

A sensitive and accurate method for determining ultra low-level 210Pb and 212Pb in water samples through double measurements was *** was pre-concentrated as hydroxides,separated from alkaline earth elements as PbS precipitate,purified by an anion exchange resin chromatography column,precipitated as PbSO4 for source preparation and counted by a low background β-*** procedure was checked with IAEA reference materials,and the results agreed well with the recommended *** detectable activity was 0.062 mBq·L-1 for 210Pb and 0.053 mBq·L-1 for 212Pb with a 48 L water *** drinking water samples were analyzed,with a Pb recovery of 88.8?5.5%,and the typical activity concentrations were 0.191?15.1 mBq·L-1 for 210Pb and of 1.12?5.77 mBq·L-1 for *** estimated committed effective doses to adult members of the public in Italy due to intake of 210Pb and 212Pb in drinking water were 0.096?7.59 μSv·a-1 and 0.005?0.025 μSv·a-1,respectively.

The activity levels of long-lived radionuclides in minerals have received more and more concern for the public health. The inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry was used to measure the content of uranium and thorium in 60 mineral samples collected from 16 mines of seven provinces in China. The contents of uranium and thorium ranged0.17 ± 0.04 lg g^(-1)to 15.3 ± 2.39 lg g^(-1), and 0.19 ± 0.04 lg g^(-1)to 19.6 ± 7.56 lg g^(-1), respectively. The highest levels of U and Th contents were found in aluminum ore,whereas the lowest was found in antimony and copper ores.

A new level scheme of 112In have been established up to 6.8 MeV in excitation energy and to a tentative spin of (21+) through the reaction 110Pd(7Li,5n)112In at a beam energy of 50 MeV. In-beam measurements involving γ-γ coincidences and directional correlation of oriented states were performed. M1 bands consisting of I =1 dipole transitions have been observed. Possible quasiparticle configurations suggest that these bands are similar to the shears bands observed in Pb nuclei.

Pairing-deformation-frequency self-consistent cranking Woods-Saxon model is employed to investigate the triaxiality in the ground states of the neutron-rich even-even Mo, Ru isotopes. Deformation evolutions and transition probabilities have been studied, giving the triaxial shapes in their ground states. The kinematic moments of inertia have been calculated to illustrate the gradually rigid deformation. To understand the origin of the asymmetry shape in this region, we analyze the evolution of single-particle orbits with changing 3, deformation. The present calculations reveal the importance of the triaxial deformation in describing not only static property, but also rotational behaviors in this mass region, providing significant probes into the shell structure around.

Using the total-Routhian-surface （TRS） method, the rotational behaviors of fission isomers in the second well of actinide nuclei 234-242U, 236-244pu and 238-246Cm were investigated. The pairing-deformation-frequency self-consistent TRS calculations repro- duced reasonably the experimental moments of inertia extracted from spectroscopic data. It is calculated that, in these largely elongated （β2 ≈0.65 and β4≈ 0.03） fission isomers, the ν1/2-[981] neutron and π1/2＋[651] proton align simultaneously at rotational frequency hω≈0.4 - 0.6 MeV （corresponding to spin I≈80h）, which leads to clear upbending in moments of inertia （MoI＇s）. Our calculations have indicated that the hexadecapole deformation f14 influenced significantly the frequency of the rotational alignment of the proton 1/2＋[651] orbit.
