The inadequate quantity of hydrogen peroxide(H_(2)O_(2))in cancer cells promptly results in the constrained success of chemodynamic therapy(CDT).Significant efforts made throughout the years;nevertheless,researchers are still facing the great challenge of designing a CDT agent and securing H_(2)O_(2) supply within the tumor *** this study,taking advantage of H_(2)O_(2) level maintenance mechanism in cancer cells,a nanozyme-based bimetallic metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)tandem reactor is fabricated to elevate intracellular H_(2)O_(2) levels,thereby enhancing *** addition,under nearinfrared excitation,the upconversion nanoparticles(UCNPs)loaded into the MOFs can perform photocatalysis and generate hydrogen,which increases cellular susceptibility to radicals induced from H_(2)O_(2),inhibits cancer cell energy,causes DNA damages and induces tumor cell apoptosis,thus improving CDT therapeutic efficacy *** proposed nanozyme-based bimetallic MOFs-mediated CDT and UCNPs-mediated hydrogen therapy act as combined therapy with high efficacy and low toxicity.

Despite the considerable advancements in fabricating polymeric-based scaffolds for tissue engineering,the clinical transformation of these scaffolds remained a big challenge because of the difficulty of simulating native organs/tissues'*** a kind of natural tissue-derived biomaterials,decellularized extracellular matrix(dECM)-based scaffolds have gained attention due to their unique biomimetic properties,providing a specific microenvironment suitable for promoting cell proliferation,migration,attachment and regulating *** medical applications of dECM-based scaffolds have addressed critical challenges,including poor mechanical strength and insufficient *** promoting the reconstruction of damaged tissues or organs,dif-ferent types of dECM-based composite platforms have been designed to mimic tissue microenvironment,including by integrating with natural polymer or/and syntenic polymer or adding bioactive *** this review,we summarized the research progress of dECM-based composite scaffolds in regenerative medicine,highlighting the critical challenges and future perspectives related to the medical application of these composite materials。

The inefficiency of Consensus protocols is a significant impediment to blockchain and IoT convergence *** solve the problems like inefficiency and poor dynamics of the Practical Byzantine Fault Tolerance(PBFT)in IoT scenarios,a hierarchical consensus protocol called DCBFT is *** all,we propose an improved k-sums algorithm to build a two-level consensus cluster,achieving an hierarchical management for IoT ***,A scalable two-level consensus protocol is proposed,which uses a multi-primary node mechanism to solve the single-point-of-failure *** addition,a data synchronization process is introduced to ensure the consistency of block data after view ***,A dynamic reputation evaluation model is introduced to update the nodes’reputation values and complete the rotation of consensus nodes at the end of each consensus *** experimental results show that DCBFT has a more robust dynamic and higher consensus ***,After running for some time,the performance of DCBFT shows some improvement.

A Time Series Short-Term Prediction Method Based on Multi-Granularity Event Matching and Alignment

Accurate forecasting of time series is crucial across various *** prediction tasks rely on effectively segmenting,matching,and time series data *** instance,regardless of time series with the same granularity,segmenting them into different granularity events can effectively mitigate the impact of varying time scales on prediction ***,these events of varying granularity frequently intersect with each other,which may possess unequal *** minor differences can result in significant errors when matching time series with future ***,directly using matched events but unaligned events as state vectors in machine learning-based prediction models can lead to insufficient prediction ***,this paper proposes a short-term forecasting method for time series based on a multi-granularity event,MGE-SP(multi-granularity event-based short-termprediction).First,amethodological framework for MGE-SP established guides the implementation *** framework consists of three key steps,including multi-granularity event matching based on the LTF(latest time first)strategy,multi-granularity event alignment using a piecewise aggregate approximation based on the compression ratio,and a short-term prediction model based on *** data from a nationwide online car-hailing service in China ensures the method’s *** average RMSE(root mean square error)and MAE(mean absolute error)of the proposed method are 3.204 and 2.360,lower than the respective values of 4.056 and 3.101 obtained using theARIMA(autoregressive integratedmoving average)method,as well as the values of 4.278 and 2.994 obtained using k-means-SVR(support vector regression)*** other experiment is conducted on stock data froma public data *** proposed method achieved an average RMSE and MAE of 0.836 and 0.696,lower than the respective values of 1.019 and 0.844 obtained using the ARIMA method,as well as the values of 1.350 and 1.172 obtained usin

During the COVID-19 pandemic,most sewage treatment plants increased disinfectant dosages to inactivate pathogenic viruses and microorganisms more ***,this approach also led to the production of more disinfection by-products(DBPs).To ensure both disinfection efficiency and a reduction in DBP formation,new disinfection protocols are *** this study,the disinfection efficiency,DBP amounts,and toxicity changes resulting from ozone(O_(3)),ultraviolet(UV),chlorine(Cl_(2)),and their combined processes were *** results demonstrated that the O_(3)/UV/Cl_(2)combination achieved the highest disinfection *** produced the most DBPs,whereas UV treatment reduced the formation of trihalomethane(THM),halogenated ketones(HKs),haloacetic acids(HAA),dichloroacetonitrile(DCAN)and N-nitrosodimethylamine(NDMA)by 45.9%,52.6%,82.0%,67.95%,and 47%,respectively.O_(3)also significantly reduced their production by 99.1%,91.1%,99.5%,100%,and 35%.Intracellular organic matter(IOM)was identified as the primary DBP precursors,producing 2.94 times more DBPs than extracellular organic matter(EOM).The increased DBP formation during chlorination was attributed to IOM leakage and cell membrane damage,which was verified using scanning electron microscopy(SEM).The toxicities of DBPs were evaluated for six disinfection methods,revealing inconsistent *** overall toxicities were assessed using zebrafish embryo *** evaluations indicated that chlorination alone was the least favorable *** addition,the toxicities followed a sequence:Cl_(2)≈O_(3)/Cl_(2)>O_(3)>O_(3)/UV/Cl_(2)>UV>UV/Cl_(2).These findings can serve as a reference for sewage treatment plants in selecting appropriate disinfection methods to manage the COVID-19 epidemic from comprehensive perspective.

Solving Multi-Objective Vehicle Routing Problems with Time Windows: A Decomposition-Based Multiform Optimization Approach

In solving multi-objective vehicle routing problems with time windows (MOVRPTW),most existing algorithms focus on the optimization of a single problem formulation. However,little effort has been devoted to exploiting valuable knowledge from the alternate formulations of MOVRPTW for better optimization performance. Aiming at this insufficiency,this study proposes a decomposition-based multi-objective multiform evolutionary algorithm (MMFEA/D),which performs the evolutionary search on multiple alternate formulations of MOVRPTW simultaneously to complement each other. In particular,the main characteristics of MMFEA/D are three folds. First,a multiform construction (MFC) strategy is adopted to construct multiple alternate formulations,each of which is formulated by grouping several adjacent subproblems based on the decomposition of MOVRPTW. Second,a transfer reproduction (TFR) mechanism is designed to generate offspring for each formulation via transferring promising solutions from other formulations,making that the useful traits captured from different formulations can be shared and leveraged to guide the evolutionary search. Third,an adaptive local search (ALS) strategy is developed to invest search effort on different alternate formulations as per their usefulness for MOVRPTW,thus facilitating the efficient allocation of computational resources. Experimental studies have demonstrated the superior performance of MMFEA/D on the classical Solomon instances and the real-world instances.

Temperature-and Strain-Compensated Directional Curvature Sensor Based on Bragg Gratings in Three-Core Fiber with Bridged Waveguides

Fiber-based curvature sensors, especially those capable of discerning the direction of curvature, have attracted more and more interest due to their promising applications in structural health monitoring, high-precision measurement, medical and biological diagnosis-treat instruments, and so on. Here, we propose and demonstrate a compact directional curvature sensor that comprises two bridged waveguides and three Bragg gratings in a section of three-core fiber（TCF）. Both the waveguides and gratings are integrated by femtosecond laser micromachining method. The waveguides, connecting the TCF outer cores to the lead-in single-mode fiber core, function as beam couplers to realize simultaneous interrogation of all three gratings without any separate fan-in/out component. Owing to the spatial specificity, the outer-core gratings exhibit high and direction-dependent sensitivity to curvature, whereas the central-core grating is nearly insensitive to curvature but shows similar sensitivities to ambient temperature and axial strain as the outer-core gratings. It can be used to compensate the cross impact of temperature and strain when the outer-core gratings are applied for curvature detection. Moreover, the wavelength interval between two outer-core gratings is also proposed as an indicator for curvature sensing. It features with a much higher sensitivity to curvature and reduced sensitivities to temperature and axial strain. The corresponding maximum sensitivity to curvature is as high as 191.89 pm/m-1, while the sensitivities to temperature and strain are only 0.3 pm/℃ and 0.0218 pm/με, respectively. Therefore, our proposed device provides a compact and robust all-infiber solution for directional curvature sensing. It not only offers high sensitivity and accuracy but also immunity to temperature and axial strain fluctuations, making it a promising tool for a wide range of applications.
