Experimental research of Pressure Distribution in the Casing of Inducer

In this paper the inducer of the advanced-researched pump is studied. During multi-rotation speed experimentwith the medium of water, the dynamic pressures near inducer casing are obtained by transducer at each measuringpoint mounted on the casing along the axial direction, both in the steady rotation speed period and the up anddown period. Bases on analyses, the regularity of the axial distribution of time averaged pressure and pressurepulsation amplitude, the connection between pressure pulsation frequency and rotation speeds, and the relationshipbetween the pressure pulsation amplitude and the site of inducer blade are obtained.

Particle Image Velocimetry Measurement of the Flow Field in the Play of the Drilling pump valve

The failure of a drilling pump is always due to the break of the drilling pump valve, which is one of the most important but also the weakest parts of the drilling pump. Over the decades, the degradation of drilling pump valves has been investigated extensively and various failure mechanisms have been proposed. However, no experimental test on the fluid has been successfully performed to support some of these mechanisms. In this paper, tests of the flow within the valve play are carried out to investigate the factors resulting in the failure of the valve. In the tests, particle image velocimetry（PIV） technology is employed to measure the flow field distribution of the valve play in the model. From these tests, the distributions of velocity and vorticity of fluid in ＇various valves with different valve angles and different valve lifts are obtained, from which the features of flow fields are derived and generalized. Subsequently, a general rule of the influence of valve angles and valve lifts on the flow velocity is concluded according to chart analyses of maximal velocities and mean velocities. Finally, an analysis is made on the possibility of valve failure caused by erosion and abrasion in a working valve, with the application of the failure mechanisms of drilling pump valves. PIV measurement improves the study on the failure of the drilling pump valve, and the results show good agreement with previous computational fluid dynamics（CFD） simulations.

The role of heat pump in heating decarbonization for China carbon neutrality

Heating decarbonization is a major challenge for China to meet its 2060 carbon neutral commitment,yet most existing studies on China’s carbon neutrality focus on supply side(e.g.,grid decarbonization,zero-carbon fuel)rather than demand side(e.g.,heating and cooling in buildings and industry).In terms of end use energy consumption,heating and cooling accounts for 50% of the total energy consumption,and heat pumps would be an effective driver for heating decarbonization along with the decarbonization on power generation *** study has discussed the underestimated role of the heat pump in achieving China’s goal of carbon neutrality by *** this paper,various investigation and assessments on heat pumps from research to applications are *** maximum decarbonization potential from heat pump in a carbon neutral China future could reach around 1532Mton and 670Mton for buildings and industrial heating respectively,which show nearly 2 billion tons CO_(2) emission reduction,20% current CO_(2) emission in ***,a region-specific technology roadmap for heat pump development in China is *** collaborated efforts from government incentive,technology R&D,and market regulation,heat pump could play a significant role in China’s 2060 carbon neutrality.
