Janus metasurface holography with asymmetric transmission characteristics provides new degrees of freedom for multiplexing technologies.However,earlier metasurfaces with asymmetrical transmission faced limitations in terms of tunability and multifunctionality.In this study,we propose a metasurface color holographic encryption scheme with dynamic switching and asymmetric transmission at visible frequencies using a low-loss nonvolatile optical phase-change material,Sb_(2)S_(3).Using a modified holographic optimization strategy,we achieved highfidelity asymmetric holographic imaging of a nanostructured metasurface.By controlling the incident direction and wavelength of visible light,as well as the level of crystallization of Sb_(2)S_(3),this reconfigurable metasurface enables the precise manipulation of tunable color holographic image displays.In particular,in the semi-crystalline state of Sb_(2)S_(3),the encoded information can be securely encrypted using a two-channel color-holographic image,whereas only a preset camouflaged image is displayed in the crystalline or amorphous state of Sb_(2)S_(3).The proposed multiencrypted Janus metasurface provides a potential approach for dynamic holographic displays with ultrahigh capacity,holographic encryption,and information storage.

The presence of numerous uncertainties in hybrid decision information systems(HDISs)renders attribute reduction a formidable task.Currently available attribute reduction algorithms,including those based on Pawlak attribute importance,Skowron discernibility matrix,and information entropy,struggle to effectively manages multiple uncertainties simultaneously in HDISs like the precise measurement of disparities between nominal attribute values,and attributes with fuzzy boundaries and abnormal values.In order to address the aforementioned issues,this paper delves into the study of attribute reduction withinHDISs.First of all,a novel metric based on the decision attribute is introduced to solve the problem of accurately measuring the differences between nominal attribute values.The newly introduced distance metric has been christened the supervised distance that can effectively quantify the differences between the nominal attribute values.Then,based on the newly developed metric,a novel fuzzy relationship is defined from the perspective of“feedback on parity of attribute values to attribute sets”.This new fuzzy relationship serves as a valuable tool in addressing the challenges posed by abnormal attribute values.Furthermore,leveraging the newly introduced fuzzy relationship,the fuzzy conditional information entropy is defined as a solution to the challenges posed by fuzzy attributes.It effectively quantifies the uncertainty associated with fuzzy attribute values,thereby providing a robust framework for handling fuzzy information in hybrid information systems.Finally,an algorithm for attribute reduction utilizing the fuzzy conditional information entropy is presented.The experimental results on 12 datasets show that the average reduction rate of our algorithm reaches 84.04%,and the classification accuracy is improved by 3.91%compared to the original dataset,and by an average of 11.25%compared to the other 9 state-of-the-art reduction algorithms.The comprehensive analysis of these research results clearly indicates that

There is a growing demand for time series data analysis in industry areas.Apache loTDB is a time series database designed for the Internet of Things(loT)with enhanced storage and I/O performance.With User-Defined Functions(UDF)provided,computation for time series can be executed on Apache loTDB directly.To satisfy most of the common requirements in industrial time series analysis,we create a UDF library,loTDQ,on Apache loTDB.This library integrates stream computation functions on data quality analysis,data profiling,anomaly detection,data repairing,etc.loTDQ enables users to conduct a wide range of analyses,such as monitoring,error diagnosis,equipment reliability analysis.It provides a framework for users to examine loT time series with data quality problems.Experiments show that loTDQ keeps the same level of performance compared to mainstream alternatives,and shortens I/O consumption for Apache loTDB users.

Intelligent education is a significant application of artificial intelligence. One of the key research topics in intelligence education is cognitive diagnosis, which aims to gauge the level of proficiency among students on specific knowledge concepts(e.g., Geometry). To the best of our knowledge, most of the existing cognitive models primarily focus on improving diagnostic accuracy while rarely considering fairness issues; for instance, the diagnosis of students may be affected by various sensitive attributes(e.g., region). In this paper,we aim to explore fairness in cognitive diagnosis and answer two questions:(1) Are the results of existing cognitive diagnosis models affected by sensitive attributes?(2) If yes, how can we mitigate the impact of sensitive attributes to ensure fair diagnosis results? To this end, we first empirically reveal that several wellknown cognitive diagnosis methods usually lead to unfair performances, and the trend of unfairness varies among different cognitive diagnosis models. Then, we make a theoretical analysis to explain the reasons behind this phenomenon. To resolve the unfairness problem in existing cognitive diagnosis models, we propose a general fairness-aware cognitive diagnosis framework, FairCD. Our fundamental principle involves eliminating the effect of sensitive attributes on student proficiency. To achieve this, we divide student proficiency in existing cognitive diagnosis models into two components: bias proficiency and fair proficiency.We design two orthogonal tasks for each of them to ensure that fairness in proficiency remains independent of sensitive attributes and take it as the final diagnosed result. Extensive experiments on the Program for International Student Assessment(PISA) dataset clearly show the effectiveness of our framework.

In 2022,Yellow Sea green tide caused by Ulva prolifera reached a historic minimum and the coastal areas of Shandong Peninsula were less affected.However,the largest amount of seaweed biomass has been washed ashore on Lianyungang and Rizhao coasts since 2015.We studied the development pattern of Yellow Sea green tide in 2022,and analyzed the key environmental factors on the growth and drifting,then discussed the possible reasons that resulted in the massive stranding of green tide biomass in Lianyungang and Rizhao.Results show under the combined influence of the east to southeast winds and currents with shoreward anomalies,green tide drifted to the coastal waters between Shandong and Jiangsu provinces and the distribution areas located westward compared with previous years(2008–2021).Floating U.prolifera rafts from the coastal waters of Binhai and Sheyang drifted continuously into the coastal waters of Lianyungang and Rizhao,providing important supplements for Yellow Sea green tide.Because green tide in 2022 distributed close to the coastal waters,the abundant nutrients might support their continuous high growth rate.In addition,the amount of rainfall around Shandong Peninsula from late June to early July were significantly higher than in previous years,which might promote the development of green tide to some extent.

Ghost Module Based Residual Mixture of Self-Attention and Convolution for Online Signature Verification

Online Signature Verification (OSV), as a personal identification technology, is widely used in various industries.However, it faces challenges, such as incomplete feature extraction, low accuracy, and computational heaviness. Toaddress these issues, we propose a novel approach for online signature verification, using a one-dimensionalGhost-ACmix Residual Network (1D-ACGRNet), which is a Ghost-ACmix Residual Network that combines convolutionwith a self-attention mechanism and performs improvement by using Ghost method. The Ghost-ACmix Residualstructure is introduced to leverage both self-attention and convolution mechanisms for capturing global featureinformation and extracting local information, effectively complementing whole and local signature features andmitigating the problem of insufficient feature extraction. Then, the Ghost-based Convolution and Self-Attention(ACG) block is proposed to simplify the common parts between convolution and self-attention using the Ghostmodule and employ feature transformation to obtain intermediate features, thus reducing computational costs.Additionally, feature selection is performed using the random forestmethod, and the data is dimensionally reducedusing Principal Component analysis (PCA). Finally, tests are implemented on the MCYT-100 datasets and theSVC-2004 Task2 datasets, and the equal error rates (EERs) for small-sample training using five genuine andforged signatures are 3.07% and 4.17%, respectively. The EERs for training with ten genuine and forged signaturesare 0.91% and 2.12% on the respective datasets. The experimental results illustrate that the proposed approacheffectively enhances the accuracy of online signature verification.

Nonnegative Matrix Factorization(NMF)is one of the most popular feature learning technologies in the field of machine learning and pattern recognition.It has been widely used and studied in the multi-view clustering tasks because of its effectiveness.This study proposes a general semi-supervised multi-view nonnegative matrix factorization algorithm.This algorithm incorporates discriminative and geometric information on data to learn a better-fused representation,and adopts a feature normalizing strategy to align the different views.Two specific implementations of this algorithm are developed to validate the effectiveness of the proposed framework:Graph regularization based Discriminatively Constrained Multi-View Nonnegative Matrix Factorization(GDCMVNMF)and Extended Multi-View Constrained Nonnegative Matrix Factorization(ExMVCNMF).The intrinsic connection between these two specific implementations is discussed,and the optimization based on multiply update rules is presented.Experiments on six datasets show that the effectiveness of GDCMVNMF and ExMVCNMF outperforms several representative unsupervised and semi-supervised multi-view NMF approaches.

Pulsar search is always the basis of pulsar navigation,gravitational wave detection and other research topics.Currently,the volume of pulsar candidates collected by the Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical radio Telescope(FAST)shows an explosive growth rate that has brought challenges for its pulsar candidate filtering system.Particularly,the multi-view heterogeneous data and class imbalance between true pulsars and non-pulsar candidates have negative effects on traditional single-modal supervised classification methods.In this study,a multi-modal and semi-supervised learning based on a pulsar candidate sifting algorithm is presented,which adopts a hybrid ensemble clustering scheme of density-based and partition-based methods combined with a feature-level fusion strategy for input data and a data partition strategy for parallelization.Experiments on both High Time Resolution Universe SurveyⅡ(HTRU2)and actual FAST observation data demonstrate that the proposed algorithm could excellently identify pulsars:On HTRU2,the precision and recall rates of its parallel mode reach0.981 and 0.988 respectively.On FAST data,those of its parallel mode reach 0.891 and 0.961,meanwhile,the running time also significantly decreases with the increment of parallel nodes within limits.Thus,we can conclude that our algorithm could be a feasible idea for large scale pulsar candidate sifting for FAST drift scan observation.

Method for wheat ear counting based on frequency domain decomposition of MSVF-ISCT

Wheat ear counting is a prerequisite for the evaluation of wheat yield.A wheat ear counting method based on frequency domain decomposition is proposed in this study to improve the accuracy of wheat yield estimation.The frequency domain decomposition of wheat ear image is completed by multiscale support value filter(MSVF)combined with improved sampled contourlet transform(ISCT).Support Vector Machine(SVM)is the classic classification and regression algorithm of machine learning.MSVF based on this has strong frequency domain filtering and generalization ability,which can effectively remove the complex background,while the multi-direction characteristics of ISCT enable it to represent the contour and texture information of wheat ears.In order to improve the level of wheat yield prediction,MSVF-ISCT method is used to decompose the ear image in multiscale and multi direction in frequency domain,reduce the interference of irrelevant information,and generate the sub-band image with more abundant information components of ear feature information.Then,the ear feature is extracted by morphological operation and maximum entropy threshold segmentation,and the skeleton thinning and corner detection algorithms are used to count the results.The number of wheat ears in the image can be accurately counted.Experiments show that compared with the traditional algorithms based on spatial domain,this method significantly improves the accuracy of wheat ear counting,which can provide guidance and application for the field of agricultural precision yield estimation.

In response to local sudden disasters,e.g.,high-rise office or residential building fire disasters,road occupation can cause conflicts,and traffic directions may be opposite between evacuation vehicles and rescue vehicles;moreover,lane contraflow can be adopted to meet these surge traffic demands.However,lane contraflow that provides more roads for rescue vehicles reduces the traffic supply in the evacuation direction.It is unclear how to control the number of contraflow roads used by rescue vehicles to coordinate evacuation and rescue traffic operations.Here,we adjust the critical rescue traffic volume of reversing the normal road traffic direction to control rescue contraflow.Additionally,we propose a multiobjective mixed integer linear programming formulation for evacuation and rescue traffic optimization.Additionally,considering that the upper limit of the critical rescue traffic volume is unknown and that the proposed formulation includes multiple objectives and multi-priority vehicle classes,a three-stage solving algorithm is developed.Next,a large-scale evacuation and rescue traffic optimization result dataset is obtained for the Nguyen–Dupuis road network,and the impact of different rescue contraflow control plans on evacuation and rescue traffic is studied based on data-driven sta-tistical analysis.The results show that by adjusting the optimal rescue traffic route,the critical rescue traffic volume for reversing the normal road traffic direction can reduce the interference of rescue traffic to evacuation traffic operation performance without reducing rescue traffic operation performance,and can be used to coor-dinate evacuation and rescue traffic operation under rescue contraflow.
