Mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)transplantation is a promising strategy for osteoporosis ***,limited sources and poor tissue-homing efficiency limit their clinical *** this study,we isolated a kind of MSCs from women’s menstrual blood(MenSCs)noninvasively and established a novel MSCs bone marrow-targeted delivery system by utilizing waterin-oil-in-water droplet *** were encapsulated withinβ-cyclodextrin-functionalized alginate microcapsules loaded with zoledronates,which has a high affinity for *** this delivery system,MenSCs could be preferentially delivered to the bone marrow tissues via intravenous infusion,and restored bone mass by remodeling the bone marrow niche in situ in ovariectomized mouse ***,scRNA-seq analysis demonstrated that those MenSCs homed to the bone marrow recruited CD4^(+)FOXP3^(+)natural regulatory T(nT_(reg))cells by secreting *** recruited nTreg promoted CD8^(+)T cells to secret Wnt family member 10B(WNT10B),activating the Wnt signaling in osteoblasts and thus promoting bone formation in situ in the bone *** study reveals a promising application of MenSCs in postmenopausal osteoporosis treatment and highlights the clinical value of MenSCs by encouraging women to reserve autologous MenSCs before menopause to prevent and alleviate postmenopausal osteoporosis.

Metastatic pancreatic cancer(mPC)has a dismal ***,we conducted a prospective,multicentre,single-arm,phase II trial evaluating the efficacy and safety of penpulimab and anlotinib in combination with nab-paclitaxel/gemcitabine(PAAG)in patients with first-line mPC(NCT05493995).The primary endpoints included the objective response rate(ORR)and disease control rate(DCR),while secondary endpoints encompassed progression-free survival(PFS),overall survival(OS),and *** 66 patients analysed for efficacy,the best response,indicated by the ORR,was recorded at 50.0%(33/66)(95%CI,37.4–62.6%),with 33 patients achieving partial response(PR).Notably,the DCR was 95.5%(63/66,95%CI,87.3–99.1%).The median PFS(mPFS)and OS(mOS)were 8.8(95%CI,8.1–11.6),and 13.7(95%CI,12.4 to not reached)months,*** 3/4 treatment-related adverse events(TRAEs)were reported in 39.4%of patients(26/66).In prespecified exploratory analysis,patients with altered SWI/SNF complex had a poorer ***,low serum CA724 level,high T-cell recruitment,low Th17 cell recruitment,and high NK CD56dim cell scores at baseline were potential predicative biomarkers for more favourable *** conclusion,PAAG as a first-line therapy demonstrated tolerability with promising clinical efficacy for *** biomolecular findings identified in this study possess the potential to guide the precise clinical application of the triple-combo regimen.

To address the relatively mediocre mechanical properties of single-phase multi-component carbide ceramics,a phase transition from a single phase to multiple phases was proposed to achieve superior mechanical properties.A series of(TiZrV_(x)Nb)C_(0.8) ceramics with different V contents were fabricated by spark plasma sintering(SPS).The influence of the V content on the phase composition,microstructural evolution,and mechanical properties was investigated in *** transition behavior from a single phase to multiple phases is discovered and *** formation of the Zr-rich phase and Zr-poor phase can be attributed to the increase in lattice distortion and mixed enthalpy caused by the addition of V.A nanometer lamellar structure with a semi-coherent interface obtained via in situ decomposition is reported for the first time in multi-component carbide *** semi-coherent interfaces with high dislocation density and strain concentration effectively improve the mechanical properties,grain refinement,and multi-phase *** optimal comprehensive mechanical properties of the Vickers hardness(26.3 GPa),flexural strength(369 MPa),and fracture toughness(3.1 MPa·m^(1/2))were achieved for the sample with 20 mol%V.

Collision-avoidance strategy for a spinning electrodynamic tether system

Spinning electrodynamic tether systems(SEDTs)have promising potential for the active removal of space debris,the construction of observation platforms,and the formation of artificial ***,owing to the survivability problem of long tethers,designing collision-avoidance strategies for SEDTs with space debris is an urgent *** study focuses on the design of collision-avoidance strategies for SEDTs with an electrodynamic force(Ampere force).The relative distance between the debris and the SEDT is first derived,and then two collision-avoidance strategies are proposed according to the two different *** debris collides closer to a lighter subsatellite,a stationary avoidance strategy is proposed to change the spatial position of the subsatellite by adjusting only the angular motion of the tether,which maintains the original orbit of the *** debris collides closer to a heavier main spacecraft,a comprehensive avoidance strategy is proposed to change the spatial position of the SEDT by slightly modifying the orbital height and changing the tether angular motion *** numerical results illustrate that the proposed strategies promptly avoid potential collisions of an SEDT with space debris without significant changes in the orbital parameters of the SEDT.

Dear Editor,Two-dimensional(2-D) systems have wide applications in image data processing,gas absorption and fluid dynamics analysis [1]-[3].When there exist abrupt changes in 2-D systems,they are usually modeled by 2-D Markov jump systems(MJSs) or 2-D semi-Markov jump systems(SMJSs).This letter investigates the control of 2-D SMJSs based on a novel mode generation mechanism,which could avoid mode ambiguousness phenomenon caused by the evolution of system mode in two different *** criterion that guarantees the almost surely exponential stability of the system is obtained.A thermal process is studied to demonstrate the availability of the proposed method.

Cell migration plays a significant role in physiological and pathological *** the characteristics of cell movement is crucial for comprehending biological processes such as cell functionality,cell migration,and cell–cell *** of the fundamental characteristics of cell movement is the specific distribution of cell speed,containing valuable information that still requires comprehensive *** article investigates the distribution of mean velocities along cell trajectories,with a focus on optimizing the efficiency of cell food search in the context of the entire *** confirm that the specific velocity distribution in the experiments corresponds to an optimal search efficiency when spatial weighting is *** simulation results indicate that the distribution of average velocity does not align with the optimal search efficiency when employing average spatial ***,when considering the distribution of central spatial weighting,the specific velocity distribution in the experiment is shown to correspond to the optimal search *** simulations reveal that for any given distribution of average velocity,a specific central spatial weighting can be identified among the possible central spatial weighting that aligns with the optimal search ***,our work presents a method for determining the spatial weights embedded in the velocity distribution of cell *** results have provided new avenues for further investigation of significant topics,such as relationship between cell behavior and environmental conditions throughout their evolutionary history,and how cells achieve collective cooperation through cell-cell communication.

Characteristics of cell motility during cell collision

Quantitative examination of cellular motion and intercellullar interactions possesses substantial relevance for both biology and ***,the effects of intercellular interactions during cellular locomotion remain under-explored in experimental *** such,this study seeks to bridge this research gap,adopting Dictyostelium discoideum(Dicty)cells as a paradigm to investigate variations in cellular motion during reciprocal *** aim to attain a comprehensive understanding of how cell interactions influence cell *** observing and processing the motion trajectories of colliding cells under diverse chemical environments,we calculated the diffusion coefficient(D)and the persistence time(τ),using mean square *** analysis of the relationship dynamics between D andτprior to the collisions reveals intricate and non-monotonic alterations in cell movements during *** quantitatively scrutinizing theτtrend,we were able to categorize the cellular responses to interactions under different ***,we ascertained that the effect of cell interactions during collisions in Dicty cells emulates a classical sigmoid *** discovery suggests that cellular responses might comply with a pattern akin to the Weber–Fechner law.

A versatile model with three-dimensional triangular lattice for unconventional transport and various topological effects

The finite Berry curvature in topological materials can induce many subtle phenomena, such as the anomalous Hall effect(AHE), spin Hall effect(SHE), anomalous Nernst effect(ANE), non-linear Hall effect(NLHE) and bulk photovoltaic effects. To explore these novel physics as well as their connection and coupling, a precise and effective model should be developed. Here, we propose such a versatile model—a 3D triangular lattice with alternating hopping parameters, which can yield various topological phases,including kagome bands, triply degenerate fermions, double Weyl semimetals and so on. We reveal that this special lattice can present unconventional transport due to its unique topological surface states and the aforementioned topological phenomena, such as AHE, ANE, NLHE and the topological photocurrent effect. In addition, we also provide a number of material candidates that have been synthesized experimentally with this lattice, and discuss two materials, including a non-magnetic triangular system for SHE, NLHE and the shift current, and a ferromagnetic triangular lattice for AHE and ANE. Our work provides an excellent platform, including both the model and materials, for the study of Berry-curvature-related physics.
