Biosensors featuring single molecule detection present huge opportunities as well as challenges in food safety inspection,disease diagnosis,and environmental ***-molecule detection is largely lacking of high enough activity,precision molecule selectivity,and understanding in the exact operating ***-atom catalysts(SACs),especially those metals-nitrogen-carbon that mimic the natural metalloenzyme structure,and with well-defined metal atom bond configurations,high level of molecular selectivity,and easy fabrication,endow single molecule detections with practical-use *** recent advances in single-atom catalysts also present new pathways in the key mechanism *** this short review,we will first visit the brief history and advantages of SACs that have been explored only recently for molecule-scale biosensors,where they are analogous and also differentiated from those nanozymes and natural *** applications in electrochemical,photochemical,and photoelectrochemical sensors are then discussed comprehensively by focusing on the different molecule-scale sensing modes in achieving local coordination-modulated signal ***,we identify new opportunities and challenges faced by these SACs-based single molecule detections in the further development of biosensors.

Synthetic biology aims to endow living cells with new functions by incorporating functional gene networks into *** overexpressing,blocking and rewiring native gene pathways,synthetic biologists have harnessed this promising technology to reprogram cells to perform diverse tasks such as drug discovery,biopharmaceutical manufacturing,gene therapy and tissue engineering,*** this review,we focus on current technologies of synthetic biosensors for disease *** start with the design principle of synthetic *** we move towards the characteristics of simple synthetic biosensors,which can respond to a single input signal,and complex synthetic biosensors including Boolean gate biosensors,cascade biosensors,time-delay biosensors,oscillator biosensors and hysteretic biosensors,which can respond to more than two input signals and perform complex *** biosensor has showed great potential in disease detection,but it is still in its infancy *** efforts should be made in identifying and constructing clinically relevant regulation *** tools are also needed in the design process in order to guarantee the precision of the synthetic *** ultimate goal of a synthetic biosensor is to act as a therapeutic sensor-effector device that connects diagnostic input with therapeutic output and therefore provides all-in-one diagnostic and therapeutic solutions for future gene-and cell-based therapies.

Three-Dimensional Conformal Dose Planning for Prostate Brachytherapy

For local radiotherapy, a three-dimensional(3D)conformal localized dose planning protocol has been established in this paper to develop a precise and reasonable dose plan. A precalculated 3D dose map for a single source is obtained using the Monte Carlo method, and the spatial dose maps are combined linearly to acquire the dose distribution. The dose distribution is visualized through the real-time display of the isodose line and isodose surface combined with the reconstructed 3D organ groups. By observing 3D dose coverage to the target volume and surrounding tissues, dose planning could be initiated with greater accuracy and precision to avoid dose dead zones and excessively high-dose levels, thus achieving the 3D conformal dose planning objective. Further research into the impact that blockages have on a needle trajectory can be conducted to optimize the insertion accuracy. A treatment planning system was developed to formulate and implement the 3D local treatment plan before the surgery,during the surgery, and after the surgery. Several experiments pertaining to both single-seed and multiple-seed dose distributions were conducted to verify the accuracy of the single-seed dose calculation module and 3D superposition dose calculation in the treatment planning system.

Design of superior electrostriction in BaTiO_(3) -based lead-free relaxors via the formation of polarization nanoclusters

Electrostrictive materials have wide applications in modern high-precision electronic *** by growing environmental concerns,there is demand for lead-free materials with superior electrostriction *** this study,we demonstrate a record-high electrostrictive coefficient of~0.0712 m^(4) C^(-2) in perovskite ferroelectric ceramics,along with hysteresis-free strain as well as excellent frequency and thermal stabilities,in lead-free BaTiO_(3)-based ceramics through a polarization nanocluster *** appro-priately introducing Li+and Bi^(3+)into the BaTiO 3 lattice matrix,the long-range ferroelectric ordering can be broken,and polarization nanoclusters can be formed,resulting in a relaxor state with concurrently suppressed polariza-tion and maintained electro-strain.A three-dimensional atomic model constructed using advanced neutron total-scattering data combined with the reverse Monte Carlo method indicates the existence of Bi and Li segregations at the subnanometer scale,which confirms the prediction made by density functional theory *** a short-range chemical order destroys the long-range ferroelectric order of the off-centered Ti polar displacements and leads to the embedding of Li+/Bi ^(3+)-rich polar nanoregions in the Ba^(2+)-rich polarization disorder ***,a completely reversible electric-field-induced lattice strain is observed,giving rise to pure electrostriction without hysteresis *** work provides a novel strategy for developing lead-free relaxor ferroelectrics with high electrostriction performance.

Detection of loop closure in visual SLAM:a stacked assorted auto-encoder based approach

The current mainstream methods of loop closure detection in visual simultaneous localization and mapping(SLAM)are based on bag-of-words(Bo W).However,traditional Bo W-based approaches are strongly affected by changes in the appearance of the scene,which leads to poor robustness and low *** order to improve the precision and robustness of loop closure detection,a novel approach based on stacked assorted auto-encoder(SAAE)is *** traditional stacked auto-encoder is made up of multiple layers of the same *** with the visual Bo W model,although it can better extract the features of the scene image,the output feature dimension is *** proposed SAAE is composed of multiple layers of denoising auto-encoder,convolutional auto-encoder and sparse auto-encoder,it uses denoising auto-encoder to improve the robustness of image features,convolutional auto-encoder to preserve the spatial information of the image,and sparse auto-encoder to reduce the dimensionality of image *** is capable of extracting low to high dimensional features of the scene image and preserving the spatial local characteristics of the image,which makes the output features more *** performance of SAAE is evaluated by a comparison study using data from new college dataset and city centre *** methodology proposed in this paper can effectively improve the precision and robustness of loop closure detection in visual SLAM.
