We propose a unified approach for systems integration and behavior regulation expressing the autonomy of Systems of Systems. For this, we precise the notion of autonomyas a transposition of the living organisms case and we develop the notion of artificial tendencies and behavioral intentions. We present a multi-agent model allowing theimplementation with a new multi-scale control.

Based on segmentation-recombination principle, a specific optical device is designed to homogenize a highpower CO2 laser beam which is used as a heating source. A model is developed to simulate the intensity distribution of converted laser beam. The results show that the theoretical simulation is consistent with experimental record. The uniformity of converted beam spot is discussed. After modifying the optical parameters of current device, a new optical system is given, through which the uniformity of shaped beam spot is improved remarkably.

Extra-cellular compounds, secreted by microorganisms into their surroundings, can be integrated in concrete composition as admixtures. These substances are important in biofilm formation and some of them can be used as corrosion inhibitor of concrete reinforcement. This paper deals with products made with biological surface active compounds/agents allowing the development of more eco-friendly concrete. The influence of this environmentally friendly bio admixture on setting time, workability, bending and compressive strengths of various mortar based materials made of CEM I, CEM III and CEM V was studied. Mechanical tests were carried out to highlight the influence of admixture in workability and hardening of samples containing the biological product with ratio in the range of 0-2.5%. It was demonstrated that the presence of the new bio-compound admixture in mortar decreases their compressive strength after 28 days of standard curing, in spite of remaining higher than standard minimal strength. Furthermore, Vicat needle experiments have shown a tendency of this admixture to decrease the setting time. A discussion was finally proposed in order to correlate the setting times and the decrease of the mortar compressive strength, corresponding in fact to a hardening delay. This setting time delay could be linked to a delay of the admixtured mortar to increase its resistance. The slump results highlight the action of bio-admixture as a plasticizer on mortars because it increases their workability for a same water-cement ratio. This effect seems variable according to the added amount.

Transient growth in Poiseuille-Rayleigh-Bénard flows of binary fluids with Soret effect

The transient growth due to non-normMity is investigated for the Poiseuille- Rayleigh-Benard problem of binary fluids with the Soret effect. For negative separation factors such as ψ = -0.1, it is found that a large transient growth can be obtained by the non-normal interaction of the two least-stable-modes, i.e., the upstream and downstream modes, which determine the linear critical boundary curves for small Reynolds numbers. The transient growth is so strong that the optimal energy amplification factor G（t） is up to 10^2 - 10^3. While for positive separation factors such as ψ = 0.1, the transient growth is weak with the order O（I） of the amplification factor, which can even be computed by the least-stable-mode. However, for both cases, the least-stable-mode can govern the long-term behavior of the amplification factor for large time. The results also show that large Reynolds numbers have stabilization effects for the maximum amplification within moderate wave number regions. Meanwhile, much small negative or large positive separation factors and large Rayleigh numbers can enlarge the maximum transient growth of the pure streamwise disturbance with the wavenumber α= 3.14. Moreover, the initial and evolutionary two-dimensional spatial patterns of the large transient growth for the pure streamwise disturbance are exhibited with a plot of the velocity vector, spanwise vorticity, temperature, and concentration field. The initial three-layer cell vorticity struc- ture is revealed. When the amplification factor reaches the maximum Gmax, it develops into one cell structure with large amplification for the vorticity strength.

In recent years,hard carbon materials have gained significant interest as anode materials for Na-ion *** waste is considered one of the most interesting,renewable,available,and cost-effective precursor to obtain hard carbon(HC);however,HC properties must be finely tuned to achieve performance comparable to those provided by Li-ion *** this work,three biomass wastes(coconut shells,walnut shells,and corn silk) were evaluated as potential precursors for HC preparation involving a pyrolysis process and subsequent acid washing to remove the inorganic *** obtained materials exhibited low and similar specific surface areas(<10 m^(2)·g^(-1)), but they presented different structures and surface *** walnut shell HC possessed a lower amount of inorganic impurities and oxygen-based functional groups compared to the coconut shell and corn silk HCs,leading to higher initial coulombic efficiency(iCE).The structural organization was higher in the case of the walnut shell HC,while the corn silk HC revealed a heterogeneous structure combining both highly disordered carbon and localized graphitized *** HCs delivered high initial reversible capacities between 293 and 315 mAh g^(-1) at 50 mA g^(-1) current rate,which remained rather stable during long-term *** best capacity(293 mAh g^(-1) after 100 charge/discharge cycles) and highest capacity retention(93%) was achieved in walnut HCs in half-cells,which could be associated with its higher sp2 C content,better organized structure,and fewer *** "adsorption-insertion" Na storage mechanism is suggested based on several *** walnut HCs exhibited an attractive energy density of 279 Wh/kg when tested in full cells.

Long-term BVRI photometric light curves of the pre-main sequence stars V977 Cep and V982 Cep during the period from 2000 October to 2016 August are presented. The stars are located in the vicinity of the reflection nebula NGC 7129. Our photometric data show that both stars exhibit strong photometric variability in all optical passbands, which is typical for Classical T Tauri stars. Using our observational data we analyze the reasons for the observed brightness variations. In the case of V977 Cep we identify previously unknown periodicity in its light curve.

He mentioned in the 18th century the possibility of injecting gas bubbles into a column of liquid to create a displacement of this liquid due to the rise of bubbles. This system takes the name of Air Lift and the first publications around this process appear at the beginning of the 20th century. There are many economic and ecological interests: CO2 from industrial production is valued because it is consumed by algae, which once they reach maturity can be converted into fuel. It is therefore a very good energy balance thanks to a low consumption of gray energy and the system is simple to set up. In this study, we will delve deeper into the description of the bubble column and the theory that accompanies it. We will then describe our experiences and the work done.

Global inspection of plant genomes identifies genes maintained in low copies across taxa and under strong purifying selection, which are likely to have essential functions. Based on this rationale, we investigated the function of the low-duplicated CYP715 cytochrome P450 gene family that appeared early in seed plants and evolved under strong negative selection. Arabidopsis CYP715A 1 showed a restricted tissue-specific expres- sion in the tapetum of flower buds and in the anther filaments upon anthesis, cyp715a1 insertion lines showed a strong defect in petal development, and transient alteration of pollen intine deposition. Comparative expres- sion analysis revealed the downregulated expression of genes involved in pollen development, cell wall biogenesis, hormone homeostasis, and floral sesquiterpene biosynthesis, especially TPS21 and several key genes regulating floral development such as MYB21, MYB24, and MYC2. Accordingly, floral sesquiterpene emission was suppressed in the cyp715a1 mutants. Flower hormone profiling, in addition, indicated a modi- fication of gibberellin homeostasis and a strong disturbance of the turnover of jasmonic acid derivatives. Petal growth was partially restored by the active gibberellin GA3 or the functional analog of jasmonoyl-isoleucine, coronatine. CYP715 appears to function as a key regulator of flower maturation, synchronizing petal expan- sion and volatile emission. It is thus expected to be an important determinant of flower-insect interaction.

The aim of this research work is to valorize the microalgae grown-up in an Airlift column. The system of fluid circulation and mass transfer is based on the principle of interaction between gas bubbles and a liquid. Thus, this study focuses on the phenomenon of the determination of the vacuum rate, the size and the speed of the bubbles including the optimization of microalgae development within the culture process. In addition, this study tries to understand the close relationship between these phenomena, its environment and the microalgae cell. These studies were conducted on the operation of an Airlift column in aquaculture, mainly in freshwater [1]. However, other researchers [2] are interested in studying saline water. In conclusion, a series of experiments were carried out in order to evaluate the profitability of the Microflotation technique, as a method of separation and concentration in microalgae. These results are very interesting since they reveal that the efficiency of the column, for the foaming-skimming function, is greater by working with less significant air injections, which lead to a reduction in energy cost.
