The thermal-elastic martensitic transformation from high-temperature Ni_(2)In-type hexagonal structure to low-temperature TiNiSi-type orthorhombic structure has been widely studied in MnMX(M=Ni or Co,and X=Ge or Si)***,the answer to how the orthorhombic martensite nucleates and grows within the hexagonal parent is still *** this work,the hexagonal-orthorhombic martensitic transformation in a Co and Ge co-substituted MnNiSi is *** can find some orthorhombic laths embedded in the hexagonal parent at a temperature above the martensitic transformation start temperature(M_(s)).With the the sample cooing to M_(s),the laths turn broader,indicating that the martensitic transformation starts from these pre-existing orthorhombic *** observation suggests that these pre-existing orthorhombic laths do not originate from the hexagonal-orthorhombic martensitic transformation because of the difference between atomic occupations of doping elements in the hexagonal parent and those in the preexisting orthorhombic *** phenomenological crystallographic theory and experimental investigations prove that the pre-existing orthorhombic lath and generated orthorhombic martensite have the same crystallography relationship to the hexagonal ***,the orthorhombic martensite can take these pre-existing laths as embryos and grow *** work implies that the martensitic transformation in MnNiSi_(1-x)(CoNiGe)_(x) alloy is initiated by orthorhombic embryos.

The molybdenum carbide(Mo_(2)C)has been regarded as one of the most cost-efficient and stable electrocatalyst for the hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)by the virtue of its Pt-like electronic ***,the inherent limitation of high density of empty valence band significantly reduces its catalytic reactivity by reason of strong hydrogen desorption ***,we propose a multiscale confinement synthesis method to design the nitrogen-rich Mo_(2)C for modulating the band structure via decomposing the pre-coordination bonded polymer in a pressure-tight tube sealing ***-bonded c/N-Mo in the coordination precursor constructs a micro-confinement space,enabling the homogeneous nitrogenization in-situ happened during the formation of Mo_(2)***,the evolved gases from the precursor decomposition in tube sealing system establish a macro-confinement environment,preventing the lattice N escape and further endowing a continuous *** the multiscale confinement effects,the nitrogen-rich Mo2C displays as high as 25%N-Mo concentration in carbide lattice,leading to a satisfactory band ***,the constructed nitrogen-rich Mo_(2)C reveals an adorable catalytic activity for HER in both alkaline and acid *** is anticipated that the multiscale confinement synthesis strategy presents guideline for the rational design of electrocatalysts and beyond.

Aqueous zinc-ion battery systems are attractive for next-generation energy storage devices,however,the unstable electrode electrolyte interphase,especially cathode electrolyte interphase(CEI),has induced rapid capacity attenuation,insufficient cycle life,and severe safety *** the researching of CEI formation,composition,dynamic structure,and reaction mechanisms would help in understanding the fundamental electrochemistry at CEI such as electron and ion transport processes,further strengthening the specific capacity,rate,and cycle performance of the cathode *** this review,we summarized the latest progress in understanding interfacial reaction mechanisms and ion dynamic behavior,emphasizing the impact of surface-specific adsorption and solvation behaviors on the interface's ultimate structure and chemical ***,the significant challenges that persist in CEI formation mechanisms,such as cathodic dissolution,by-product formation,electrostatic interactions,constrained electrochemical windows,oxygen evolution reaction,overpotentials,phase transitions,and additional factors,were *** challenges are explored to identify triggers contributing to the depletion of active materials and alterations in the composition or state of the ***,with a deep comprehension of interfacial behaviors,the review articulates innovative optimization strategies through a detailed categorization of approaches in electrolyte engineering,cathode engineering,and artificial CEI ***,future challenges and development directions of CEI are *** hope to offer insights for constructing robust CEI films to achieve high performance aqueous zinc-ion batteries.

In prevailing p-i-n perovskite solar cells(PSCs),solution-processible fullerene molecules are widely used as electron-transporting layers(ETLs)but they typically suffer from poor uniformity and undesirable stability ***,a separate bathocuproine(BCP)layer is needed to block hole tran sfer,increasing fabrication complexity and ***,we address these limitations by develo ping a novel polymeric ETL(named PF BCP)synthesized by polymerizing C_(60)with *** innovative material achieves both efficient electron transport and hole blocking,while its excellent uniformity minimizes interface recombination and enhances ***,our blade-coated PSCs utilizing PFBCP achieve a high power conversion efficiency exceeding 22%and retain 91%of initial efficiency after 1200 h of light *** development not only paves the way for commercially viable PSCs but also opens avenues for future ETL design to realize even more efficient and stable PSCs.

All-inorganic perovskites,adopting cesium(Cs+)cation to completely replace the organic component of A-sites of hybrid organic–inorganic halide perovskites,have attracted much attention owing to the excellent thermal ***,all-inorganic iodine-based perovskites generally exhibit poor phase stability in ambient ***,we propose an efficient strategy to introduce antimony(Sb^(3+))into the crystalline lattices of CsPbI_(2)Br perovskite,which can effectively regulate the growth of perovskite crystals to obtain a more stable perovskite *** to the much smaller ionic radius and lower electronegativity of trivalent Sb^(3+)than those of Pb^(2+),the Sb^(3+)doping can decrease surface defects and suppress charge recombination,resulting in longer carrier lifetime and negligible *** a result,the all-inorganic perovskite solar cells(PSCs)based on 0.25%Sb^(3+)doped CsPbI_(2)Br light absorber and screen-printable nanocarbon counter electrode achieved a power conversion efficiency of 11.06%,which is 16%higher than that of the control devices without Sb^(3+)***,the Sb^(3+)doped all-inorganic PSCs also exhibited greatly improved endurance against heat and *** to the use of low-cost and easy-to-process nanocarbon counter electrodes,the manufacturing process of the all-inorganic PSCs is very convenient and highly repeatable,and the manufacturing cost can be greatly *** work offers a promising approach to constructing high-stability all-inorganic PSCs by introducing appropriate lattice doping.

To achieve the controllable release of energy of nitrocellulose-based propellants,this paper combines the cellulose-based nanocomposites aqueous coating(Surelease?-NC)with fluidized bed coating equipment to successfully prepare the coated spherical propellant for the first *** effects of fluidized bed coating temperature,air velocity,flow speed and atomization pressure on the adhesion rate,coating integrity and coating uniformity of the coated spherical propellant were investigated,and the preparation of coated spherical propellant with homogeneous size and structural integrity was achieved for the first *** microscopic morphology,chemical structure,water vapor adsorption behavior,combustion performance,and ageing resistance property of the coated spherical propellant were systematically investigated by,Fourier transforms infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),Micro confocal raman spectrometer,field scanning electron microscopy(SEM),dynamic vapor adsorption techniques,and closed bomb test,confirming the surface core-shell structure and the tightly bonded interfacial structure of coated spherical ***,the coated spherical propellant has good hygroscopic,excellent progressive burning and long storage stability.

Low-power, flexible, and integrated photodetectors have attracted increasing attention due to their potential applications of photosensing, astronomy, communications, wearable electronics, etc. Herein, the samples of ZnO microwires having p-type(Sb-doped ZnO, ZnO:Sb) and n-type(Ga-doped ZnO, ZnO:Ga) conduction properties were synthesized individually. Sequentially, a p-n homojunction vertical structure photodiode involving a single ZnO:Sb microwire crossed with a ZnO:Ga microwire, which can detect ultraviolet light signals, was constructed.

Quaternary Ag-In-Ga-S(AIGS)quantum dot(QD)is considered a promising,spectral-tunable,and environmentally friendly luminescent display ***,the more complex surface defect states of AIGS QDs resulting from the coexistence of multiple elements lead to a low(<60%)photoluminescence quantum yield(PLQY).Here,we develop a novel convenient method to introduce Z-type ligands ZnX_(2)(X=Cl,Br,I)for passivating the surface defects of AIGS QDs to dramatically enhance the PLQY and stability without affecting the crystalline structure and *** show that the addition of ZnCl_(2)during the purified process of AIGS QDs leads to a 3-fold increase of PLQY(from 28.5%to 87%).Impressively,the highest PLQY is up to a recorded value of 92%,which is comparable to typical heavy metal *** dynamics studies have shown that the rapid annihilation process of excitons in treated QDs is *** also confirm that the improvement in PLQY is a result of the effective passivation of the non-coordinating atom on the QD surface by building a new bonding between sulfur dangling and Zn2+.The realization of high PLQY will further promote the application of AIGS QDs in luminescent displays.

Phase-field simulation of precipitation kinetics and creep properties of Ni-Al-Cr/Ta superalloys

The precipitation kinetics ofγ'-Ni_(3)(Al,Ta)phase and creep properties of Ni-15Al-x Ta at.%superalloys are investigated by the crystal plasticity phase-field *** results show that the high Ta content brings a lower creep strain for the deceleration and steady creep stage,while the creep lifetime is *** large external strain intensifies the creep damage and shortens the creep life of Ni-15Al-3Ta at.%*** kinetics evolution and elements distribution are revealed in the quaternary Ni-10Al-8.5Cr-xT a(x=1.5 at.%,2.0 at.%,2.5 at.%)superalloys by the multi-component phase-field *** anti-phase boundary(APB)changes the coarsening mechanism ofγ'phase,and Ta promotes the precipitation ofγ'phase with an increasing volume fraction and particle *** composition difference betweenγ'andγphases increases with the rising of Ta content,the strong partitioning of Ta toγ'phase strengthens the partitioning of Ni and Cr toγmatrix,and Ta shows a superiority than Al in the lattice site occupation of L1_(2)-Ni_(3)(Al,X)*** an importantγ'phase forming element,the optimization of Ta content is essential for improving the mechanical properties of Ni-based superalloys.

Water-quenched copper-nickel metallurgical slag enriched with olivine minerals exhibits promising potential for the production of CO_(2)-mineralized cementitious *** this work,copper-nickel slag-based cementitious material(CNCM)was synthesized by using different chemical activation methods to enhance its hydration reactivity and CO_(2) mineralization *** water curing ages and carbonation conditions were explored related to their carbonation and mechanical properties ***,thermogravimetry differential scanning calorimetry and X-ray diffraction methods were applied to evaluate the CO_(2) adsorption amount and carbonation products of *** development of carbonated CNCM blocks was examined by backscattered electron imaging(BSE)with energy-dispersive X-ray *** showed that among the studied samples,the CNCM sample that was subjected to water curing for 3 d exhibited the highest CO_(2) sequestration amount of 8.51wt%at 80℃and 72 h while presenting the compressive strength of 39.07 *** result indicated that 1 t of this CNCM can sequester 85.1 kg of CO_(2) and exhibit high compressive *** the addition of citric acid did not improve strength development,it was beneficial to increase the CO_(2) diffusion and adsorption amount under the same carbonation conditions from BSE *** work provides guidance for synthesizing CO_(2)-mineralized cementitious materials using large amounts of metallurgical slags containing olivine minerals.
