Resistivity and magnetization have been measured at different temperatures and magnetic fields in organic superconductorsκ-(BEDT-TTF)_(2)Cu[N(CN)_(2)]*** lower critical field and upper critical field are determined,which allow to depict a complete phase *** the comparison between the upper critical fields with magnetic field perpendicular and parallel to the conducting ac-planes,and the scaling of the in-plane resistivity with field along different directions,we find that the anisotropyΓis strongly dependent on *** is realized thatΓis quite large(above 20)near Tc,which satisfies the 2D model,but approaches a small value in the low-temperature *** 2D-Tinkham model can also be used to fit the data at high *** is explained as a crossover from the orbital depairing mechanism in high-temperature and low-field region to the paramagnetic depairing mechanism in the high-field and low-temperature *** temperature dependence of lower critical field,Hc1(T),shows a concave shape in wide temperature *** is found that neither a single d-wave nor a single s-wave gap can fit the Hc1(T),however a two-gap model containing an s-wave and a d-wave can fit the data rather well,suggesting two-band superconductivity and an unconventional pairing mechanism in this organic superconductor.

The wind and temperature fields at 20 to 55 km above the Antigua launch site(17°N,61°W)were analyzed by using sounding rocket data published by the research organization on Stratosphere-Troposphere Processes and their Role in Climate(SPARC).The results showed distinct variations in the wind and temperature fields at different heights from the 1960s to the *** overall zonal wind speed showed a significant increasing trend with the year,and the overall change in meridional wind speed showed a falling trend from 1976 to 1990,whereas the temperature field showed a significant cooling trend from 1964 to *** times the trends mutated varied at different *** taking the altitudes at 20,35,and 50 km as representatives,we found that the zonal wind speed trend had mutated in 1988,1986,and 1986,respectively;that the meridional wind speed trend had mutated in 1990,1986,and 1990,respectively;and that the temperature trend had mutated separately in 1977,1973,and 1967,*** of the periodic wind and temperature field variations at different heights were also analyzed,and obvious differences were found in time scale variations across the different *** zonal and meridional wind fields were basically characterized as having a significant periodic variation of 5 years across the three layers,and each level was characterized as having a periodic variation of less than 5 *** field variation at the three levels was basically characterized as occurring in 10-year and 5-year cycles.

Relationships between changes of kernel nutritive components and seed vigor during development stages of F_1 seeds of sh_2 sweet corn

The changes of kernel nutritive components and seed vigor in F1 seeds of sh2 sweet corn during seed development stage were investigated and the relationships between them were analyzed by time series regression (TSR) analysis. The results show that total soluble sugar and reducing sugar contents gradually declined, while starch and soluble protein contents increased throughout the seed development stages. Germination percentage, energy of germination, germination index and vigor index gradually increased along with seed development and reached the highest levels at 38 d after pollination (DAP). The TSR showed that, during 14 to 42 DAP, total soluble sugar content was independent of the vigor parameters determined in present experiment, while the reducing sugar content had a significant effect on seed vigor. TSR equations between seed reducing sugar and seed vigor were also developed. There were negative correlations between the seed reducing sugar content and the germination percentage, energy of germination, germination index and vigor index, respectively. It is suggested that the seed germination, energy of germination, germination index and vigor index could be predicted by the content of reducing sugar in sweet corn seeds during seed development stages.

We investigate the magnetic damping parameter of Fe 1−x Cr x thin films using the time-resolved magneto-optical Kerr effect *** is demonstrated that the overall effective damping parameter is enhanced with the increasing Cr *** effective damping at high fieldα0 is found to be significantly enhanced when increasing the Cr concentration with theα0=0.159 in the Fe 45 Cr 55 enhanced by 562%compared with that ofα0=0.024 in the pure Fe *** study provides a new approach of controlling the effective damping parameter with a desired magnitude via varying Cr composition.

Isotopic characteristics of groundwater in Changzhou, Wuxi and Suzhou area and their implications

Based on the study of groundwater isotope(2H and 18O, 34S, 15N, 3H, 14C) in Changzhou, Wuxi and Suzhou area, it is found that the deep confined groundwater has no pollution on the whole, whereas the shallow groundwater is polluted to a different degree in the area. The deep confined aquifers (main exploitation aquifers) in Changzhou area and in Wuxi and Suzhou area likely belong to two different aquifers. The main exploitation aquifers in Changzhou area are not connected with those in Wuxi and Suzhou area, or they are connected but not expedited. The lateral run-off of groundwater is at present directed to the exploitation center because of overexploitation of the deep groundwater for a long time, but the flowing speed of groundwater is still extremely slow. The deep confined groundwater is in a close to half close state. The 14C age of groundwater varies from 10000 a BP to 38000 a BP, with the oldest groundwater found at the nearest exploitation center (along the line of three cities of Changzhou, Wuxi and Suzhou) and the youngest at the furthest exploitation center.

Probabilistic Multimodel Ensemble Prediction of Decadal Variability of East Asian Surface Air Temperature Based on IPCC-AR5 Near-term Climate Simulations

Based on near-term climate simulations for IPCC-AR5 （The Fifth Assessment Report）, probabilistic multimodel ensemble prediction （PMME） of decadal variability of surface air temperature in East Asia （20°-50°N, 100°- 145°E） was conducted using the multivariate Gaussian ensemble kernel dressing （GED） methodology. The ensemble system exhibited high performance in hindcasting the deeadal （1981-2010） mean and trend of temperature anomalies with respect to 1961-90, with a RPS of 0.94 and 0.88 respectively. The interpretation of PMME for future decades （2006-35） over East Asia was made on the basis of the bivariate probability density of the mean and trend. The results showed that, under the RCP4.5 （Representative Concentration Pathway 4.5 W m-2） scenario, the annual mean temperature increases on average by about 1.1-1.2 K and the temperature trend reaches 0.6-0.7 K （30 yr）-1. The pattern for both quantities was found to be that the temperature increase will be less intense in the south. While the temperature increase in terms of the 30-yr mean was found to be virtually certain, the results for the 30-yr trend showed an almost 25% chance of a negative value. This indicated that, using a multimodel ensemble system, even if a longer-term warming exists for 2006-35 over East Asia, the trend for temperature may produce a negative value. Temperature was found to be more affected by seasonal variability, with the increase in temperature over East Asia more intense in autumn （mainly）, faster in summer to the west of 115°E, and faster still in autumn to the east of 115°E.

To address the problem of conventional approaches for mechanical property determination requiring destructive sampling, which may be unsuitable for in-service structures, the authors proposed a method for determining the quasi-static fracture toughness and impact absorbed energy of ductile metals from spherical indentation tests (SITs). The stress status and damage mechanism of SIT, mode I fracture, Charpy impact tests, and related tests were frst investigated through fnite element (FE) calculations and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) observations, respectively. It was found that the damage mechanism of SITs is diferent from that of mode I fractures, while mode I fractures and Charpy impact tests share the same damage mechanism. Considering the diference between SIT and mode I fractures, uniaxial tension and pure shear were introduced to correlate SIT with mode I fractures. Based on this, the widely used critical indentation energy (CIE) model for fracture toughness determination using SITs was modifed. The quasi-static fracture toughness determined from the modifed CIE model was used to evaluate the impact absorbed energy using the dynamic fracture toughness and energy for crack initiation. The efectiveness of the newly proposed method was verifed through experiments on four types of steels: Q345R, SA508-3, 18MnMoNbR, and S30408.

T cells, including both CD4^(+) and CD8^(+)T cells, play a pivotal role in mediating various inflammation and immune disorders. A long-standing challenge in T cell-based immunotherapy is to precisely inactivate or delete the pathogenic T cells in inflammation and autoimmune diseases, or to selectively expand the immunocompetent T cell in tumor or other immune compromised situations, without inducing global immunosuppression or zealous immune activation respectively. To achieve this, a specific marker is needed to differentiate the pathogenic or immunocompetent T cell among the rests. Indeed,recent progress of immunology strongly suggests that CXC chemokine receptor 6(CXCR6, CD186) is such a kind of marker. Here, we review the emerging role of CXCR6 as a novel target for immunotherapy and discuss the underlying mechanism. We propose that CXCR6-based immunotherapy will play a significant role in autoimmune, nonalcoholic steatohepatitis(NASH), tumor, coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19) and even ageing-related inflammatory infliction.

Quantum walks, a counterpart of classical random walks, have many applications due to their neoteric *** they were first proposed, quantum walks have been explored in many fields theoretically and have also been demonstrated experimentally in various physical systems. In this paper, we review the experimental realizations of discrete-time quantum walks in photonic systems with different physical structures, such as bulk optics and time-multiplexed framework. Then, some typical applications using quantum walks are introduced. Finally, the advantages and disadvantages of these physical systems are discussed.
