The Effect and Benefit of Rice Chilo suppressalis Walker Chemical Control Test of Chlorantraniliprole etc.

In this paper, the first generation and second generation of Chilo suppressalis Walker were conducted as the test objects to investigate control of a new pesticide(chlorantraniliprole) with preparation of chlorantraniliprole 20% SC,abamectin 1.8% EC and chlorpyrifos 40% EC to Chilo suppressalis Walker. The results showed that chlorantraniliprole 20% SC, abamectin 1.8% EC and chlorpyrifos40% EC had effective control to Chilo suppressalis Walker for its excellent control efficacy and long persistence period. Seedling protection efficacies were between84.2%-100%, 90.1% and 92.1%, and insecticidal efficacies were between 84.6%-100%,90.7% and 93.8% 36 days after application of chlorantraniliprole 20% SC in treatments with abamectin 1.8% EC and chlorpyrifos 40% EC for first generation Chilo suppressalis Walker control. The dead panicles were between 0.2%-1.4%, 0.8%and 0.7%, pest plant rate control in 0.4%-2.2%, 1.1% and 0.9%, and the rates of damaged rice plants were between 82.4%-97.6%, 90.2%-91.2% and 91.4%-92.8%,30 days after application of chlorantraniliprole 20% SC, abamectin 1.8% EC and chlorpyrifos 40% EC for the second generation Chilo suppressalis Walker control. It can effectively protect seedlings, protect spike, increase grain number and grain weight, which promoting the increase production income effect. The real estate increased by 9.7%-12.3%, 10.9% and 11.2% than water treatment(CK) with a very significant level, while the incomes were higher than 1 719.19-1 998.22, 1 956.52 and 2 057.83 yuan.

Occurrence and Epidemic Regularity of Wheat Stripe Rust in nanchong City of Sichuan Province

In order to realize monitoring and early warning and comprehensive management of wheat stripe rust and to reduce its occurrence in nanchong City, the occurrence and epidemic regularity of wheat stripe rust in nanchong was studied by system monitoring and general survey, resistance identification, physiological race monitoring and meteorological data analysis. The initial occurrence location and spreading pathway of Puccinia striiformis f. sp. tritici （Pst） were first verified; there were two infection peaks of wheat stripe rust in nanchong and one to three epidemic peaks in fields, in which the occurrence area of the first epidemic peak played a pivotal role in disease prevalence in that year; the cumulative occurrence area in late January was positively correlated with annual occurrence area, with the correlation coefficient of 0.769 ; the prediction model for infected field rate, diseased plant rate and annual occurrence area was established. The internal reason for heavy occurrence and prevalence of wheat stripe rust in nanchong was the decline or loss of wheat resistance against stripe rust, as well as the appearance of physiological races of Pst, which later became dominant races. Large fluctuation of temperature in warm winter and spring and more fog and dew days were external reasons responsible for prevalence of stripe rust. From 2002 to 2014 ,the accuracy rate of short-term prediction of wheat stripe rust reached 100%, while that of me- dium-term and long-term prediction reached over 98% and 95%, respectively, 5% -15% higher than that of the years before 1998.

To clarify association between armyworm（Mythimna separata） damage level and the corn growth and weed occurrence, we investigated corn plant height, stem diameter and vigor as well as weed coverage and biomass. The investigations were conducted at three locations of Shaanxi Province, China which were suffered seriously from armyworm. Significant correlations were found between the parameters analyzed. At stunted corn growth and presence of plenty of weeds, the armyworm damage tended to be heavy; oppositely, when corn grew well and weed density were low, armyworm harm was the minimal. Therefore, corn growing status and weed density can significantly affect armyworm damage level. Our results imply that promoting corn growth and timely removal of weeds are conducive to reducing armyworm occurrence.

Cloning of genes encoding nonhost hypersensitive response-inducing elicitors from Phytophthora boehmeriae

We have devised a high-throughput functional cloning method to isolate cDNAs from Phytophthora boehmeriae of which the products elicit a hypersensitive response (HR) in tobacco. The cDNAs were cloned into a binary potato virus X (PVX)-based expression vector and transformed into Agrobacterium tumefeciens (Mog101). 4100 colonies were individually toothpick-inoculated onto leaflets of Nicotiana benthamiana. 12 cDNAs were identified whose expression induced formation of a necrotic lesion around the inoculation site. 7 of these clones have different sequences. One of these clones PBC43 encodes specific elicitin. Clone PBC163 encodes a protein highly homologous to Rab; PBC241 en-codes a prohibitin protein; PBN62 encodes a Heat Shock Protein 60 (HSP60). The other five cDNAs reveal no homology to known protein and are thus considered novel. These observations suggest that this functional screening method is a versatile strategy to identify cDNAs of pathogens that encode elicitors and other HR-inducing proteins.

Evaluation of the antioxidant activity of blueberry ethanol extracts under microwave extraction

Blueberry extract contains diversiform monomers of anthocyanins, whose antioxidant activity determines the functionality of anthocyanidins and the efficacy of extraction technology. The evaluation of the antioxidant activity of anthocyanidins of blueberry ethanol extracts (BEE) was investigated by considering the monomers' identification and thermal degradation in microwave-assisted extraction (MAE). Thirteen monomers of anthocyanins were identified from the extracts of blueberry under MAE, where the highest content was for cyanidin glycosides, and the lowest content was for the malvidin glycosides. The onset temperatures of degradation for anthocyanidins monomers in BEE were 41.07°C-48.50°C, and the glycoside contents of delphinidin, cyanidin, petunidin, peonidin, peonidin, and malvidin, in turn, decreased obviously. The degradation of anthocyanidins with extraction temperature improved, other than weakened, its antioxidant activities in BEE under MAE. The research results may provide valuable guidance for the antioxidant application of extracts from blueberries.

Application Effect of Pesticide Synergist‘Jijian' on Wheat Stripe Rust

The aim of this study is to clarify the application effect of pesticide decrement synergist ＇ Jijian＇ on wheal stripe lUSt. Sampling investigation, randomized block design and statistic analysis were carried out to find out the field efficacy of adding ＇ Jijian＇ to triadimefon WP and propiconazole EC on controlling wheat stripe rust. The results showed that during the epidemic period of stripe rust, the control effects on the 7^th and the 19^th d reached more than 93% and 100% , respectively, by the application of 15% triadimefon WP of 1 200 g/hm^2 and 25% propiconazole EC of 600 mlhm^2 , respectively for 2 times ; when 15% triadimefon WP of 840 g/hm^2 ＋＇ Jijian＇ of 225 g/hm^2 or 25 % propiconazole EC of 420 mlhm^2 ＋＇ Jijian＇ of 225 g/hm^2 were applied （ adding ＇ Jijian＇ and reducing the dosage of the 2 pesticides by 30% ） , the control effect on the 7^th d was 89.4% and 91.7% , respectively, while the control effect on the 19a＇ d was 99.8 - 100% ; when 15% triadimefon WP of 720 - 600 g/hm^2 ＋＇ Jijian＇ of 225 g/hm^2 or 25% propiconazole EC 360 - 300 mlhm^2 ＋＇ Jijian＇ of 225 g/hm^2 were applied （ adding ＇ Jijian＇ and reducing the dosage of the 2 pesticides by 40% - 50% ） , the control effect on the 7a＇ day reached more than 78.0% , while the control effect on the 19^th day was 97.7% - 99.8%. There was no significant difference on the control effect at the 7^th d between the treatments using the 2 pesticides alone and the treatments adding ＇ Jijian＇ and reducing the dosage of the 2 pesticides by 30%, but all had significant differences from the treatments adding ＇ Jijian＇ and reducing the dosage of the 2 pesticides by40% -50%. There was no significant difference on the control effect of the 19^th d among different treatments. Therefore, if the disease is not serious, the application of ＇ Jijian＇ can reduce the application amounts of pesticides by 40% -50%, that is, 15% triadimefon WP of 720 -600 g/hm^2 ＋＇ Jijian＇ of 225 g/hm^2 or 25 % propiconazole EC of 360- 300
