Penpulimab is an anti-programmed cell death-1(PD-1)IgG1 antibody with no Fc gamma receptor(FcγR)binding activity,and thus theoretically reduced immune-related adverse events(irAEs)while maintaining *** single-arm,phase II trial conducted across 20 tertiary care centers in China enrolled adult patients with metastatic nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC)who had failed two or more lines of previous systemic *** received 200-mg penpulimab intravenously every 2 weeks(4 weeks per cycle)until disease progression or intolerable *** primary endpoint was objective response rate(ORR)per RECIST(version 1.1),as assessed by an independent radiological review *** secondary endpoints included progression-free survival(PFS)and overall survival(OS).One hundred thirty patients were enrolled and 125 were efficacy *** the data cutoff date(September 28,2022),1 patient achieved complete response and 34 patients attained partial *** ORR was 28.0%(95%CI 20.3–36.7%).The response was durable,with 66.8%still in response at 9 ***-three patients(26.4%)were still on *** median PFS and OS were 3.6 months(95%CI=1.9–7.3 months)and 22.8 months(95%CI=17.1 months to not reached),***(7.6%)patients experienced grade 3 or higher *** has promising anti-tumor activities and acceptable toxicities in heavily pretreated metastatic NPC patients,supporting further clinical development as third-line treatment of metastatic NPC.

Safe and efficient capturing of volatile radioiodine is of extremely important significance in the treatment of spent ***,the flake channels in gelatin-hydroxyapatite（HAP@Ge） cryogel with excellent flame retardant properties were constructed by immobilizing hydroxyapatite nanorods（HAP） on Gelatin（Ge） cryogel for enhancing the capturing of *** immobilization of HAP nanorods enhanced thermal stability,provided low rates of dynamic heat transfer and dissipation,and remarkably improved the flame retardant and smoke suppression properties of the Ge cryogel,which can effectively prevent the occurrence of safety incidents caused by further thermal degradation or combustion of this *** importantly,it was effective in improving the rapid enrichment of iodine,resulting in a high adsorption *** maximum adsorption capacity of HAP@Ge cryogel for iodine vapor reached2693 mg/g at *** high adsorption capacity for iodine was attributed to the multi-scale porous structure in HAP@Ge cryogel,which offered effective channels for iodine diffusion,whereas the numerous complex and irregular flakes provided sufficient number of active sites for iodine *** adsorption process was chemical in nature and involved the-PO43-,-OH,-C=O,and-NHR groups on HAP@Ge ***,the complex porous structure of HAP@Ge cryogel enhanced the physical capturing of *** advantages,such as low-cost raw material,simple preparation method,good flame retardancy,and excellent capturing performance for iodine indicated that HAP@Ge cryogel is a potential candidate for the removal of radioactive iodine in the exhaust gas stream of post-treatment plants.

With the aging population, intertrochanteric femur fracture in the elderly has become one of the most serious public health issues and a hot topic of research in trauma orthopedics. Due to the limitations of internal fixation techniques and the insufficient mechanical design of nails, the occurrence of complications delays patient recovery after surgical treatment. Design of a proximal femur bionic nail(PFBN)based on Zhang's N triangle theory provides triangular supporting fixation, which dramatically decreases the occurrence of complications and has been widely used for clinical treatment of unstable intertrochanteric femur fracture worldwide. In this work, we developed an equivalent biomechanical model to analyze improvement in bone remodeling of unstable intertrochanteric femur fracture through PFBN *** results show that compared with proximal femoral nail antirotation(PFNA) and Inter Tan, PFBN can dramatically decrease the maximum strain in the proximal femur. Based on Frost's mechanostat theory, the local mechanical environment in the proximal femur can be regulated into the medium overload region by using a PFBN, which may render the proximal femur in a state of physiological overload, favoring post-operative recovery of intertrochanteric femur fracture in the elderly. This work shows that PFBN may constitute a panacea for unstable intertrochanteric femur fracture and provides insights into improving methods of internal fixation.
