Habanero pepper(Capsicum chinense Jacq.)is a crop of economic relevance in the Peninsula of *** fruits have a high level of capsaicinoids compared to peppers grown in other regions of the world,which gives them industrial *** is an important factor that affects pepper development,nutritional quality,and capsaicinoid ***,the effect of soil type on fruit development and capsaicinoid metabolism has been little *** work aimed to compare the effect of soils with contrasting characteristics,black soil(BS)and red soil(RS),on the expression of genes related to the development of fruits,and capsaicinoid synthesis using a transcriptomic analysis of the habanero pepper *** growing in RS had bigger fruits and higher expression of genes related to floral development,fruit abscission,and softening which suggests that RS stimulates fruit development from early stages until maturation *** from plants growing in BS had enrichment in metabolic pathways related to growth,sugars,and ***,these fruits had higher capsaicinoid accumulation at 25 days post-anthesis,and higher expression of genes related to the branched-chain amino acids metabolism(ketol-acid reductisomerase KARi),pentose phosphate pathway and production of nADPH(glucose-6-phosphate-1-dehydrogenase G6PDH),and proteasome and vesicular traffic in cells(26S proteasome regulatory subunit t4 RPt4),which suggest that BS is better in the early stimulation of pathways related to the nutritional quality and capsaicinoid metabolism in the fruits.

Background Forest ecosystems undergo significant transformations due to harvesting and climate fluctuations, emphasizing the critical role of seeding in natural regeneration and long-term structural preservation. Climate change further amplifies these dynamics, affecting phenology across species and regions. in tierra del Fuego(Argentina), nothofagus pumilio(lenga) forests represent the most important timber resource, and it is managed through different silvicultural strategies. this species demonstrates notable post-disturbance regeneration, yet seed fall exhibits signifi-cant variability, leading to variations in seed quality(e.g., viability). this study aims to assess fluctuations in n. pumilio seed quality, determine how it varies concerning forest management strategies, annual productivity, and the co-occurrence of climatic phenomena including El ni?o-Southern Oscillation(EnSO) and the Southern Annular Mode(SAM).Results Viable seeds represented 18.4% of the total, notably higher in unharvested than in managed areas. Con-versely, empty seeds were more prevalent in harvested areas(> 75%). Seed quality exhibited significant differences across silvicultural treatments, except for insect-predated seeds, which had similar proportions across all areas, though dispersed retention showed higher predation. When considering years with varying production levels, high-production years favoured full and viable seeds, particularly in unharvested forests and aggregated retention, while low-production years saw reduced viability across all treatments. Quadratic models revealed that viability increased with seed production, where unharvested forests achieved the highest values. Climate variability influenced seed proportions, where EnSO+/SAM+ promoting more full and viable seeds, while EnSO–/SAM+ favoured non-predated seeds, especially in unharvested *** Seed quality varies among treatments and years with different levels of seeding. Optimization of the Use of Spherical targets for Point Cloud Registration Using Monte Carlo Simulation

Registrations based on the manual placement of spherical targets are still being employed by many professionals in the ***,the placement of those targets usually relies solely on personal experience without scientific evidence supported by numerical *** paper presents a comprehensive investigation,based on Monte Carlo simulation.i.t. determining the optimal number and positions for efficient target placement in typical scenes con.i.t.ng of a pair of *** demonstrates new check-up statistical rules and geometrical constraints that can effectively extract and analyze massive simulations of unregistered point clouds and their corresponding *** than 6×10^(7)sets of the registrations were simulated,whereas more than 100 registrations with real data were used to verify the results of *** results indicated that using five spherical targets is the best choice for the registration of a large typical registration site con.i.t.ng of two vertical facades and a ground,when there is only a box set of spherical targets *** a result,the users can avoid placing extra targets to achieve insignificant improvements in registration *** results also suggest that the higher registration accuracy can be obtained when the ratio between the facade-to-target distance and target-to-scanner distance is approximately 3:***,the targets should be placed closer to the scanner rather than in the middle between the facades and the scanner,contradicting to the traditional ***,the results reveal that the accuracy can be increased by setting the largest projected triangular area of the targets to be large.

Caesarean Section in the Mother and Child University Hospital of n’Djamena: indications and Prognosis

introduction: Caesarean section is a surgical procedure which allows childbirth after opening the abdominal wall and the uterus. Objective: to study caesarean section in the n’Djamena Mother and Child University Hospital (nMCUH). Patients and Method : this was a cross-sectional, analytic descriptive study over a 5-month period from 10 January to 10 June 2023, focusing on caesarean sections section in the n’Djamena Mother and Child University Hospital (nMCUH). Studied variables were epidemiological, clinical and prognostic. Patients were divided according to the classification of Robson.i.t. 10 groups. Results: During the study period, we recorded 724 caesareans sections among 3,565 deliveries, giving a rate of 20.3%. the age group from 25 to 29 represented 39.2%. the average age was 31.2 ± 2.8 years, with extreme ranging from 14 to 44 years. nulliparous women accounted for 42% and 26% had at least one previous caesarean section (n = 188). Patients with full-term pregnancies (37 - 40 gestational weeks + 6 days) represented 64.1%. Emergency caesareans accounted for 92.8% (n = 672). Robson’s group 1 was noted to be 40.3%. Hemorrhage was the main.i.t.aoperative complication, with 7.2%. in post-operatively, anemia was the main complication at 23.8%. We recorded 16 maternal deaths, giving a maternal death rate of 2.2%. Live newborns accounted for 81.1%. Conclusion: Caesarean section is a common procedure in the CHUME maternity unit. the main indications are those of Robson’s group i. Caesarean sections are associated with both maternal and fetal complications.
