Periodontitis is indeed a chronic inflammatory disease caused by microorganisms, and it is a leading cause of tooth loss in adults worldwide [1–3]. The immune system typically maintains a balance with pathogenic bacteria in the body, and the local mucosal immune system effectively monitors and controls these microorganisms to prevent excessive inflammation.

The myc gene is the essential oncogene in triple-negative breast cancer(TNBC).This study investigates the synergistic effects of combining myc decoy oligodeoxynucleotides-encapsulated niosomes-selenium hybrid nanocarriers with X-irradiation exposure on the MDA-MB-468 cell *** and scramble ODNs for myc transcription factor were designed and synthesized based on promoter sequences of the Bcl2 *** nanocarriers were synthesized by loading myc ODNs and selenium into chitosan(Chi-Se-DEC),which was then encapsulated in niosome-nanocarriers(NISM@Chi-Se-DEC).FT-IR,DLS,FESEM,and hemolysis tests were applied to confirm its characterization and physicochemical ***,cellular uptake,cellular toxicity,apoptosis,cell cycle,and scratch repair assays were performed to evaluate its anticancer effects on cancer *** anticancer assessments were repeated under X-ray irradiation conditions(fractionated 2Gy).Physicochemical characteristics of niosomes containing SeNPs and ODNs showed that it is synthesized *** revealed that the anticancer effect of NISM@Chi-Se-DEC can be significantly improved in combination with X-ray irradiation *** can be concluded that NISM@Chi-Se-DEC nanocarriers have the potential as a therapeutic agent for cancer treatment,particularly in combination with radiation therapy and in-vivo experiments are necessary to confirm the efficacy of this nano-drug.

Piezo proteins are mechanically activated ion channels,which are required for mechanosensing functions in a variety of cell *** we and others have previously demonstrated that the expression of Piezo1 in osteoblast lineage cells is essential for boneanabolic processes,there was only suggestive evidence indicating a role of Piezo1 and/or Piezo2 in *** we addressed the question if and how chondrocyte expression of the mechanosensitive proteins Piezo1 or Piezo2 controls physiological endochondral ossification and pathological osteoarthritis(OA)*** with chondrocyte-specific inactivation of Piezo1(Piezo1^(Col2a1Cre)),but not of Piezo2,developed a near absence of trabecular bone below the chondrogenic growth plate ***,all Piezo1^(Col2a1Cre) animals displayed multiple fractures of rib bones at 7 days of age,which were located close to the growth *** skeletal growth was only mildly affected in these mice,OA pathologies were markedly less pronounced compared to littermate controls at 60 weeks of ***,when OA was induced by anterior cruciate ligament transection,only the chondrocyte inactivation of Piezo1,not of Piezo2,resulted in attenuated articular cartilage ***,osteophyte formation and maturation were also reduced in Piezo1^(Col2a1Cre) *** further observed increased Piezo1 protein abundance in cartilaginous zones of human ***,we identified Ptgs2 and Ccn2 as potentially relevant Piezo1 downstream genes in ***,our data do not only demonstrate that Piezo1 is a critical regulator of physiological and pathological endochondral ossification processes,but also suggest that Piezo1 antagonists may be established as a novel approach to limit osteophyte formation in OA.

The microphases and miscibility in binary curcumin(Cur)solid dispersions(SDs)with amorphous polyvinylpyrrolidone K30(PVP K30)and semi-crystalline poloxamer(P407)and poly(ethylene glycol)6000(PEG6000)as carriers were investigated by fluorescence contrasting utilizing confocal laser scanning microscopy.A super sensitive fluorophore P4 with typical aggregation-caused quenching properties was employed to stain the continuous polymer phases and contrasted with the autofluorescence of the model drug *** addition,differential scanning calorimetry(DSC)and powder X-ray diffraction(PXRD)were utilized to assist in explanation of the fluorescence *** all three SD systems,there is always a homogenous polymer phase stained by P4 and it is difficult to adulterate Cur crystals by ***-enriched rather than polymer-enriched domains could be *** the Cur-PVP K30 system,Cur exists in an amorphous form at a Cur loading level of 50%and below,while Cur crystallines phase out and continuously grow with the increase of Cur loading from 60%to 90%.The phase behaviors in the Cur-P407 and Cur-PEG 6000 systems are similar but with minor *** both systems,Cur phases out as clusters of drug-enriched domains at a loading level of 20%and below,which however cannot be correlated with crystallization,as evidenced by both DSC and *** is a transition from an amorphous to a crystalline state from 20%to 30%Cur loading,above which Cur crystallines can be *** is interesting that a co-mix phase of both Cur-and PEG 6000-enriched domains can be identified at Cur loading levels of 10%and *** together,it is concluded that contrasting Cur autofluorescence with the signals of P4 proves to be a functional strategy to reveal multiple phases in the binary SD systems investigated.
