Neural stem cell-derived exosomes promote mitochondrial biogenesis and restore abnormal protein distribution in a mouse model of Alzheimer's disease

Mitochondrial dysfunction is a hallmark of Alzheimer’s *** previously showed that neural stem cell-derived extracellular vesicles improved mitochondrial function in the cortex of AP P/PS1 *** Alzheimer’s disease affects the entire brain,further research is needed to elucidate alterations in mitochondrial metabolism in the brain as a ***,we investigated the expression of several important mitochondrial biogenesis-related cytokines in multiple brain regions after treatment with neural stem cell-derived exosomes and used a combination of whole brain clearing,immunostaining,and lightsheet imaging to clarify their spatial ***,to clarify whether the sirtuin 1(SIRT1)-related pathway plays a regulatory role in neural stem cell-de rived exosomes interfering with mitochondrial functional changes,we generated a novel nervous system-SIRT1 conditional knoc kout AP P/PS1mouse *** findings demonstrate that neural stem cell-de rived exosomes significantly increase SIRT1 levels,enhance the production of mitochondrial biogenesis-related fa ctors,and inhibit astrocyte activation,but do not suppress amyloid-β***,neural stem cell-derived exosomes may be a useful therapeutic strategy for Alzheimer’s disease that activates the SIRT1-PGC1αsignaling pathway and increases NRF1 and COXIV synthesis to improve mitochondrial *** addition,we showed that the spatial distribution of mitochondrial biogenesis-related factors is disrupted in Alzheimer’s disease,and that neural stem cell-derived exosome treatment can reverse this effect,indicating that neural stem cell-derived exosomes promote mitochondrial biogenesis.

Algorithms and statistical analysis for linear structured weighted total least squares problem

Weighted total least squares(WTLS)have been regarded as the standard tool for the errors-in-variables(EIV)model in which all the elements in the observation vector and the coefficient matrix are contaminated with random ***,in many geodetic applications,some elements are error-free and some random observations appear repeatedly in different positions in the augmented coefficient *** is called the linear structured EIV(LSEIV)*** kinds of methods are proposed for the LSEIV model from functional and stochastic *** the one hand,the functional part of the LSEIV model is modified into the errors-in-observations(EIO)*** the other hand,the stochastic model is modified by applying the Moore-Penrose inverse of the cofactor *** algorithms are derived through the Lagrange multipliers method and linear *** estimation principles and iterative formula of the parameters are proven to be *** first-order approximate variance-covariance matrix(VCM)of the parameters is also derived.A numerical example is given to compare the performances of our proposed three algorithms with the STLS ***,the least squares(LS),total least squares(TLS)and linear structured weighted total least squares(LSWTLS)solutions are compared and the accuracy evaluation formula is proven to be feasible and ***,the LSWTLS is applied to the field of deformation analysis,which yields a better result than the traditional LS and TLS estimations.

High-Order Two-Scale Asymptotic Paradigm for the Elastodynamic Homogenization of Periodic Composites

The classical two-scale asymptotic paradigm provides macroscopic and microscopic analyses for the elastodynamic homogenization of periodic composites based on the spatial or/and temporal variable,which offers an approximate framework for the asymptotic homogenization analysis of the motion ***,in this framework,the growing complexity of the homogenization formulation gradually becomes an obstacle as the asymptotic order *** such a context,a compact,fast,and accurate asymptotic paradigm is *** work reviews the high-order spatial two-scale asymptotic paradigm with the effective displacement field representation and optimizes the implementation by symmetrizing the tensor to be ***,the modified implementation gets rid of the excessive memory consumption required for computing the high-order tensor,which is demonstrated by representative one-and two-dimensional *** numerical results show that(1)the contrast of the material parameters between media in composites directly affects the convergence rate of the asymptotic results for the homogenization of periodic composites,(2)the convergence error of the asymptotic results mainly comes from the truncation error of the modified asymptotic homogenized motion equation,and(3)the excessive norm of the normalized wavenumber vector in the two-dimensional inclusion case may lead to a non-convergence of the asymptotic results.

Photoacoustic spectroscopy(PAS)as a highly sensitive and selective trace gas detection technique has extremely broad application in many ***,the laser sources currently used in PAS limit the sensing *** to diode laser and quantum cascade laser,the solid-state laser has the merits of high optical power,excellent beam quality,and wide tuning *** we present a long-wave,high-power,wide-tunable,singlelongitudinal-mode solid-state laser used as light source in a PAS sensor for trace gas *** self-built solid-state laser had an emission wavelength of~2μm with Tm:YAP crystal as the gain material,with an excellent wavelength and optical power stability as well as a high beam *** wide wavelength tuning range of 9.44 nm covers the absorption spectra of water and ammonia,with a maximum optical power of~130 mW,allowing dual gas detection with a single laser *** solid-state laser was used as light source in three different photoacoustic detection techniques:standard PAS with microphone,and external-and intra-cavity quartz-enhanced photoacoustic spectroscopy(QEPAS),proving that solid-state laser is an attractive excitation source in photoacoustic spectroscopy.

3D hand pose and shape estimation from monocular RGB via efficient 2D cues

Estimating 3D hand shape from a single-view RGB image is important for many ***,the diversity of hand shapes and postures,depth ambiguity,and occlusion may result in pose errors and noisy hand *** full use of 2D cues such as 2D pose can effectively improve the quality of 3D human hand shape *** this paper,we use 2D joint heatmaps to obtain spatial details for robust pose *** also introduce a depth-independent 2D mesh to avoid depth ambiguity in mesh regression for efficient hand-image *** method has four cascaded stages:2D cue extraction,pose feature encoding,initial reconstruction,and reconstruction ***,we first encode the image to determine semantic features during 2D cue extraction;this is also used to predict hand joints and for ***,during the pose feature encoding stage,we use a hand joints encoder to learn spatial information from the joint ***,a coarse 3D hand mesh and 2D mesh are obtained in the initial reconstruction step;a mesh squeeze-and-excitation block is used to fuse different hand features to enhance perception of 3D hand ***,a global mesh refinement stage learns non-local relations between vertices of the hand mesh from the predicted 2D mesh,to predict an offset hand mesh to fine-tune the reconstruction *** and qualitative results on the FreiHAND benchmark dataset demonstrate that our approach achieves state-of-the-art performance.

Analysis of phase preservation and interferometric offset test in sparse SAR imaging

Sparse synthetic aperture radar(SAR) imaging has emerged as a reliable microwave imaging scheme in the recent decade and excels in down-sampling reconstruction and full-sampling performance improvements such as noise, sidelobe, speckle, and ambiguity suppression. To utilize complex image products of sparse reconstruction for improvement in polarimetric, interferometric, and tomographic SAR imaging, it is necessary to evaluate the phase preservation of sparse SAR imaging. In this study, we first introduce the general alternating direction method of multipliers(ADMM) as the universal framework for sparse reconstruction algorithms and adopt chirp scaling algorithm(CSA)-based azimuth-range decouple operators to avoid expensive data storage and processing. Further, we theoretically analyze the phase preservation of the sparse reconstruction algorithm through a comparison with the reconstruction results of CSA. Finally,we conduct the interferometric offset test on the sparse reconstruction results of simulated and real Gaofen-3(GF-3) SAR data, demonstrating the phase-preserving ability of sparse methods.

Thermal Property Enhancement of a Novel Shape-Stabilized Sodium Acetate Trihydrate-Acetamide/Expanded Graphite-Based Composite Phase Change Material

Phase change materials(PCMs)are a kind of highly efficient thermal storage materials which have a bright application prospect in many fields such as energy conservation in buildings,waste heat recovery,battery thermal management and so *** inorganic hydrated salt PCMs have received increasing attention from researchers due to their advantages of being inexpensive and ***,inorganic hydrated salt PCMs are still limited by the aspects of inappropriate phase change temperature,liquid phase leakage,large supercooling and severe phase separation in the application *** this work,sodium acetate trihydrate was selected as the basic inorganic PCM,and a novel shape-stabilized composite phase change material(CPCM)with good thermal properties was prepared by adding various functional *** first,the sodium acetate trihydrate-acetamide binary mixture was prepared and the melting point was adjusted using *** the binary mixture was incorporated into expanded graphite to synthesize a novel shape-stabilized *** thermophysical properties of the resultant shape-stabilized CPCM were systematically *** microscopic morphology and chemical structure of the obtained shape-stabilized CPCM were characterized and *** experiment results pointed out that acetamide could effectively lower the melting point of sodium acetate *** obtained shape-stabilized CPCM modified with additional 18%(mass fraction)acetamide and 12%(mass fraction)expanded graphite exhibited good shape stability and thermophysical characteristics:a low supercooling degree of 1.75℃and an appropriate melting temperature of 40.77℃were obtained;the latent heat of 151.64 kJ/kg and thermal conductivity of 1.411 W/(m·K)were also ***,after 50accelerated melting-freezing cycles,the obtained shape-stabilized CPCM represented good thermal reliability.

Parameter-driven Level of Detail Derivation Method for Semantic Building Facade Model

The relentless progress in the research of geographic spatial data models and their application scenarios is propelling an unprecedented rich Level of Detail (LoD) in realistic 3D representation and smart cities. This pursuit of rich details not only adds complexity to entity models but also poses significant computational challenges for model visualization and 3D GIS. This paper introduces a novel method for deriving multi-LOD models， which can enhance the efficiency of spatial computing in complex 3D building models. Firstly， we extract multiple facades from a 3D building model (LoD3) and convert them into individual semantic facade models. Through the utilization of the developed facade layout graph， each semantic facade model is then transformed into a parametric model. Furthermore， we explore the specification of geometric and semantic details in building facades and define three different LODs for facades， offering a unique expression. Finally， an innovative heuristic method is introduced to simplify the parameterized facade. Through rigorous experimentation and evaluation， the effectiveness of the proposed parameterization methodology in capturing complex geometric details， semantic richness， and topological relationships of 3D building models is demonstrated.

Hybrid ITO Algorithm for Large-Scale Colored Traveling Salesman Problem

In the fields of intelligent transportation and multi-task cooperation, many practical problems can be modeled by colored traveling salesman problem (CTSP). When solving large-scale CTSP with a scale of more than 1000dimensions, their convergence speed and the quality of their solutions are limited. This paper proposes a new hybrid ITO(HITO) algorithm, which integrates two new strategies, crossover operator and mutation strategy, into the standard ITO. In the iteration process of HITO, the feasible solution of CTSP is represented by the double chromosome coding, and the random drift and wave operators are used to explore and develop new unknown regions. In this process, the drift operator is executed by the improved crossover operator, and the wave operator is performed by the optimized mutation strategy. Experiments show that HITOis superior to the known comparison algorithms in term of the quality solution.

A rapid field crop data collection method for complexity cropping patterns using UAV and YOLOv3

Crop type mapping using remote sensing is critical for global agricultural monitoring and food ***,the complexity of crop planting patternsand spatial heterogeneity pose significant challenges to field data collection,thereby limiting the accuracy of remotely sensed crop *** study proposed a new approach for rapidly collecting field crop data by integrating unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)images with the YOLOv3(You Only Look Once version 3)*** impacts of UAV flight altitude and the number of training samples on the accuracy of crop identification models were investigated using peanut,soybean,and maize as *** results showed that the average Fl-score for crop type detection accuracy reached 0.91 when utilizing UAV images captured at an altitude of 20 *** addition,a positive correlation was observed between identification accuracy and the number of training *** model developed in this study can rapidly and automatically identify crop types from UAV images,which significantly improves the survey efficiency and provides an innovative solution for acquiring field crop data in large areas.
