As SARS-CoV-2 continues to spread and evolve,detecting emerging variants early is critical for public health *** lineage prevalence by clinical testing is infeasible at scale,especially in areas with limited resources,participation,or testing/sequencing capacity,which can also introduce ***-CoV-2 RNA concentration in wastewater successfully tracks regional infection dynamics and provides less biased abundance estimates than clinical testing4,*** virus genomic sequences in wastewater would improve community prevalence estimates and detect emerging variants.

The bng-term performance of tissue-engineered bone grafts is determined by a dynamic balance between bone regeneration and resorption We proposed using embedded cytokine slow-releasing hydrogels to tune this balance toward a desirable final bone *** this study we established a systems biology model,and quantitatively expfored the combinatorial effects of delivered cytokines from hydrogels on final bone *** hypothesized that:1) bone regeneration was driven by transcription factors Runx2 and Osterix,which responded to released cytokines,such as Wnt,BMP2,and TGFβ,drove the development of osteoblast lineage,and contributed to bone mass generation;and 2) the osteoclast lineage,on the other hand,governed the bone resorption,and communications between these two lineages determined the dynamics of bone *** our model,Intracellular signaling pathways were represented by ordinary differential equations,while the intercellular communications and cellular population dynamics were modeled by stochastic differential *** of synergistic cytokine combinations were evaluated by Loewe index and Bliss *** results revealed that the Wnt/BMP2 combinations released from hydrogels showed best control of bone regeneration and synergistic effects,and suggested optimal dose ratios of given cytokine combinations released from hydrogels to most efficiently control the long-term bone *** revealed the characteristics of cytokine combinations of Wnt/BMP2 which could be used to guide the design of in vivo bone scaffolds and the clinical treatment of some diseases such as osteoporosis.

Over the past decades, cancer has become one of the toughest challenges for health professionals. The epidemiologists are increasingly directing their research efforts on various malignant tumor worldwide. Of note, incidence of cancers is on the rise more quickly in developed countries. Indeed, great endeavors have to be made in the control of the life-threatening disease. As we know it, pancreatic cancer（PC） is a malignant disease with the worst prognosis. While little is known about the etiology of the PC and measures to prevent the condition, so far, a number of risk factors have been identified. Genetic factors, pre-malignant lesions, predisposing diseases and exogenous factors have been found to be linked to PC. Genetic susceptibility was observed in 10% of PC cases, including inherited PC syndromes and familial PC. However, in the remaining 90%, their PC might be caused by genetic factors in combination with environmental factors. Nonetheless, the exact mechanism of the two kinds of factors, endogenous and exogenous, working together to cause PC remains poorly understood. The fact that most pancreatic neoplasms are diagnosed at an incurable stage of the disease highlights the need to identify risk factors and to understand their contribution to carcinogenesis. This article reviews the high risk factors contributing to the development of PC, to provide information for clinicians and epidemiologists.

Objective:To evaluate the curative effect of"Cold-Dampness Epidemic Prescription(寒湿疫方)"on the main symptoms of quarantined people in community based on real-world research data,and to provide scientific basis for Chinese medicine to fight Coronavirus disease 2019 under the"Wuchang Model".Methods:From February 4,2020 to March 5,2020,the data of community quarantined people who only took"Cold-Dampness Epidemic Prescription(寒湿疫方)"under the management of"Wuchang Model"were collected,and the demographic characteristics,basic diseases,distribution of sick people,treatment process,disappearance time of eight clinical symptoms,adverse reactions and clinical outcomes of patients were statistically ***:A total of 951 quarantined people in COVID-19 community were included,including 440 males(46.27%)and 511 females(53.73%),the oldest was 89 years old,the youngest was 2 years old,and the average age was 43.34 years old;Among the quarantined population in the community,there were 141 cases diagnosed by CDC(14.83%),CDC excluded 810 cases(85.17%);106 cases of CDC were diagnosed as COVID-19,accounting for 47.96%of the self-reported cases,and 311 cases(32.70%)had previous medical history;696(73.19%)had no obvious symptoms,and 255(26.81%)developed fever,fatigue,cough,sputum,shortness of breath,loss of appetite,diarrhea and mood,of which 187(19.66%)had cough symptoms,followed by sputum coughing(14.30%)and fever(13.56%).Conclusion:"Cold-Dampness Epidemic Prescription(寒湿疫方)"is effective in treating the clinical symptoms of COVID-19 without obvious adverse reactions.

Synthesis and Characterization of TiO2 Nanoreservoirs Supported with Platinum II and Sodium Bicarbonate Solution

In the past 10 years, the nanoreservoirs to based on TiO2 have taken the lead to develop new and better ways to control and possible "removal" of diseases that have bewildered mankind since its existence. In seeking to contribute to these expectations, at this early stage we synthesized nanoreservoirs of TiO2 with sodium bicarbonate solution to 15% (NaHCO3-15/TiO2), with salt of platinum(II) to 0.1% (Pt-0.1/TiO2) and with the NaHCO3 15% and the platinum(II) 0.1% "in situ" (Pt-0.1-NaHCO3-15/TiO2) by sol-gel. We show that TiO2 and Pt-0.1/TiO2 nanoreservoirs are amorphous. While the NaHCO3-15/TiO2 and the Pt-0.1-NaHCO3-15/TiO2 nanoreservoirs are crystalline. The NaHCO3-15/TiO2 and Pt-0.1-NaCO3-15/TiO2 nanoreservoirs are crystalline because to transformation of the sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO3) to trona phase. The trona phase increases the average particle size of the Pt-0.1-NaCO3-15/TiO2 nanoreservoirs of 180 nm to 130 nm (NaHCO3-15/TiO2). The nanoreservoirs doped with platinum decreases the particle size to 50 nm (Pt-0.1/TiO2).

Meta analysis on the effectiveness of auricular therapy combined with modern medicine in the treatment of depression/anxiety disorders in maintenance hemodialysis patients

Objective:We used meta-analysis to explore the clinical efficacy of auricular point therapy combined with modern medicine in improving depression/anxiety in maintenance hemodialysis ***:We searched CNKI,Wanfang,Weipu,CBM,The Cochrane Library,PubMed,Web of Science,Embase through computer to build a randomized controlled trials of auricular therapy combined with modern medicine in the treatment of depression/anxiety disorders in China and abroad since *** evaluators independently screened the studies,extracted and cross-checked the key data in the studies independently after determining the included studies,and then evaluated the quality of the studies ***,we used RevMan 5.3 platform for statistical processing of ***:This meta-analysis included a total of 12 clinical randomized controlled trials,including a total of 899 *** results showed that the observation group was more effective in reducing the scores of Hamilton Anxiety Scale,self rating Anxiety Scale,self rating Depression Scale,Pittsburgh sleep quality index score of maintenance hemodialysis *** addition,there was no statistical difference between the observation group and the control group in improving the total clinical effective ***:The observation group has a more obvious effect on the improvement of anxiety or depression in maintenance hemodialysis ***,due to the limitation of the quantity and quality of the included studies,the real efficacy of auricular therapy combined with modern medicine in improving anxiety or depression disorder after maintenance hemodialysis still needs to be supported by more carefully designed and standardized multi-center,large-sample clinical studies.

*** strongest locus which associated with type 2 diabetes(T2D)by the common variant rs7903146 is the transcription factor 7-like 2 gene(TCF7L2).We aimed to quantify the interaction of diet/lifestyle interventions and the genetic effect of TCF7L2 rs7903146 on glycemic traits,body weight,or waist circumference in overweight or obese adults in several randomized controlled trials(RCTs).*** October 2016 to May 2018,a large collaborative analysis was performed by pooling individualparticipant data from 7 *** RCTs reported changes in glycemic control and adiposity of the variant rs7903146 after dietary/lifestyle-related interventions in overweight or obese *** treatment interaction models which used the genetic effect encoded by the allele dose and common covariates were applicable to individual participant data in all *** the joint analysis,a total of 7 eligible RCTs were included(n=4,114).Importantly,we observed a significant effect modification of diet/lifestyle-related interventions on the TCF7L2 variant rs7903146 and changes in fasting *** with the control group,diet/lifestyle interventions were related to lower fasting glucose by-3.06(95%CI,-5.77 to-0.36)mg/dL(test for heterogeneity and overall effect:I^(2)=45:1%,pcontrol and adiposity traits per one copy of TCF7L2 risk *** findings suggest that carrying the TCF7L2 T risk allele may have a modestly greater benefit for specific diet/lifestyle interventions to improve the control of fasting glucose in overweight or obese adults.

[Objectives]The paper was to identify Alternaria alternata causing leaf spot disease on Huangdi banana in China.[Methods]Fungal isolates were isolated and identified by morphological features,molecular identification and pathogenicity test.[Results]There were light to dark brown,tiny oval spots on *** causal agent isolated from affected leaves was identified as *** based on the morphological properties,coupled with sequence analyses of the internal transcribed spacer(ITS)region,large subunit ribosomal DNA(LSU rDNA)and the translation elongation factor 1-alpha(TEF-1α)*** s postulates were fulfilled by successful re-isolation of pathogen from the artificial inoculated leaves.[Conclusions]To our knowledge,this is the first report of leaf spot caused by *** on Huangdi banana in *** identification of *** as the causal agent of the observed leaf spot disease on Huangdi banana is critical to the prevention and control of this disease in the future.

Detection of Citrus Psyllid Based on Improved YOLOX Model

[Objectives]The paper was to explore a faster and more accurate detection method for citrus psyllid to prevent and control yellow-shoot disease and inhibit its transmission.[Methods]We used an improved YOLOX based edge detection method for psyllid,added Convolutional Block Attention Module(CBAM)to the backbone network,and further extracted important features in the channel and space *** Cross Entropy Loss in the object loss was changed to Focal Loss to further reduce the missed detection rate.[Results]The algorithm described in the study fitted in with the detection platform of *** data set of psyllid was taken in Lianjiang Orange Garden,Zhanjiang City,Guangdong Province,deeply adapted to the actual needs of agricultural and rural *** on YOLOX model,the backbone network and loss function were improved to achieve a more excellent detection method of citrus *** AP value of 85.66%was obtained on the data set of citrus psyllid,which was 2.70%higher than that of the original model,and the detection accuracies were 8.61%,4.32%and 3.62%higher than that of YOLOv3,YOLOv4-Tiny and YOLOv5-s,respectively,which had been greatly improved.[Conclusions]The improved YOLOX model can better identify citrus psyllid,and the accuracy rate has been improved,laying a foundation for the subsequent real-time detection platform.

BACKGROUND Inflammatory bowel diseases(IBD)have been associated with a low quality of life(QoL)and a negative impact on work productivity compared to the general *** about disease control,patient-reported outcomes(PROs),treatment patterns and use of healthcare resources is relevant to optimizing IBD *** To describe QoL and work productivity and activity impairment(WPAI),treatment patterns and use of healthcare resources among IBD patients in *** A multicenter cross-sectional study included adult outpatients who were previously diagnosed with moderate to severe Crohn’s disease(CD)or ulcerative colitis(UC).At enrolment,active CD and UC were defined as having a Harvey Bradshaw Index≥8 or a CD Activity Index≥220 or calprotectin>200μg/g or previous colonoscopy results suggestive of inadequate control(per investigator criteria)and a 9-point partial Mayo score≥5,*** PRO assessment included the QoL questionnaires SF-36 and EQ-5D-5L,the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Questionnaire(IBDQ),and the WPAI *** about healthcare resources and treatment during the previous 3 years was collected from medical ***-square,Fisher’s exact and Student’s t-/Mann-Whitney U tests were used to compare PROs,treatment patterns and the use of healthcare resources by disease activity(α=0.05).RESULTS Of the 407 patients in this study(CD/UC:64.9%/35.1%,mean age 42.9/45.9 years,54.2%/56.6%female,38.3%/37.1%employed),44.7%/25.2%presented moderate-to-severe CD/UC activity,respectively,at *** in median values for CD/UC,respectively,the SF-36 physical component was 46.6/44.7 and the mental component was 45.2/44.2,the EQ-visual analog scale score was 80.0/70.0,and the IBDQ overall score was 164.0/*** to severe activity,female gender,being unemployed,a lower educational level and lower income were associated with lower QoL(P<0.05).Median work productivity impairment was 20%and 5%for CD and UC patients,re
