Diurnal variations of carbon dioxide,methane,and nitrous oxide fluxes from invasive Spartina alterniflora dominated coastal wetland in northern Jiangsu Province

The invasions of the alien species such as Spartina alterniflora along the northern Jiangsu coastlines have posed a threat to biodiversity and the ecosystem ***,limited attention has been given to their potential influence on greenhouse gas（GHG） emissions,including the diurnal variations of GHG fluxes that are fundamental in estimating the carbon and nitrogen *** this study,we examined the diurnal variation in fluxes of carbon dioxide（CO_2）,methane（CH_4）,and nitrous oxide（N2O） from a *** intertidal flat in June,October,and December of 2013 and April of 2014 representing the summer,autumn,winter,and spring seasons,*** found that the average CH_4 fluxes on the diurnal scale were positive during the growing season while negative *** tidal flat of *** acted as a source of CH_4 in summer（June） and a combination of source and sink in other *** observed higher diurnal variations in the CO_2 and N_2O fluxes during the growing season（1 536.5 mg CO_2 m^（–2） h^（–1） and 25.6 μg N_2O m^（–2） h^（–1）） compared with those measured in the non-growing season（379.1 mg CO_2 m^（–2） h^（–1） and 16.5 μg N_2O m^（–2） h^（–1））.The mean fluxes of CH_4 were higher at night than that in the daytime during all the seasons but *** diurnal variation in the fluxes of CO_2 in June and N_2O in December fluctuated more than that in October and ***,two peak curves in October and April were observed for the diurnal changes in CO_2 and N_2O fluxes（prominent peaks were found in the morning of October and in the afternoon of April,respectively）.The highest diurnal variation in the N_2O fluxes took place at 15：00（86.4 μg N_2O m^（–2） h^（–1）） in June with an unimodal *** logging in October increased the emission of CO_2（especially at nighttime）,yet decreased N_2O and CH_4 emissions to a different degree on the daily scale because of the restrained diffusion rates of the *** seasonal and diurnal variations of

Genetic diversity and elite gene introgression reveal the japonica rice breeding in northern China

Abundant genetic diversity and rational population structure of germplasm benefit crop breeding *** investigate genetic variation among geographically diverse set of japonica germplasm,we analyzed 233 japonica rice cultivars collected from Liaoning,Jilin and Heilongjiang provinces of China,which were released from 1970 to 2011 by using 62 simple sequence repeat（SSR） markers and 8 functional gene tags related to yield.A total of 195 alleles（N_a） were detected with an average of 3.61 per locus,indicating a low level of genetic diversity level among all *** genetic diversity of the cultivars from Jilin Province was the highest among the three geographic distribution ***,the genetic diversity was increased slightly with the released period of cultivars from 1970 to *** analysis of molecular variance（AMOVA） revealed that genetic differentiation was more diverse within the populations than that among the *** neighbor-joining（NJ） tree indicated that cultivar clusters based on geographic distribution represented three independent groups,among which the cluster of cultivars from Heilongjiang is distinctly different to the cluster of cultivars from *** the examined functional genes,two or three allelic variations for each were detected,except for IPA1 and GW2,and most of elite genes had been introgressed in modem japonica rice *** results provide a valuable evaluation for genetic backgrounds of current japonica rice and will be used directly for japonica rice breeding in future.

Objective Though the Central Asian Orogenic Belt (CAOB) is characterized by widespread Phanerozoic crustal growth,there is little juvenile crust documented in its southeastern segment,northern margin of the North China Craton(NCC)(Zhang et al,2007,2009).Late Carboniferous Dongwanzi ultramafic-mafic cumulate complex occurs in northern margin of the NCC and is intruded by a syenite with depleted Sr-Nd isotopes (Ma et al.,2014).However,the age and petrogenesis of this syenite is poorly *** this study,we present new petrological,zircon U-Pb and Hf isotopic data of the Dongwanzi syenite,in order to put insights on its formation age and petrogenetic relationship with cumulates.

Oil source and migration process in oblique transfer zone of Fushan Sag,northern South China Sea

The oblique transfer zone in the Fushan Sag, a syndepositional dome sandwiched between the Bailian and Huangtong sub-sags, has been the most important exploration target. The major oil observation occurs in the E_2l_1^(L+M) and the E_2l_3~U. 46 oil and rock samples reveal that the oil in the transfer zone is mostly contributed by the Bailian sub-sag, though the source rock conditions, hydrocarbon generation and expulsion histories of the Bailian and Huangtong sub-sags are similar. The E_2l_3~U oil, characterized by high maturity, Pr/Ph ratio and oleanane/C_(30)-hopane ratio, shows a close genetic affinity with the E_2l_3~b source rocks, while the E_2l_1^(L+M) oil, characterized by lower maturity, Pr/Ph ratio and oleanane/C_(30)-hopane ratio, is suggested to be derived from the E_2l_(1+2)~b source rocks. The homogenization temperatures of aqueous fluid inclusions, taking the burial history of the reservoirs into account, reflect that the oil charge mainly occurred from mid-Miocene to Pliocene in the oblique transfer zone. The oil transporting passages include connected sand bodies, unconformities and faults in the Fushan Sag. Of these, the faults are the most complicated and significant. The faults differ sharply in the west area, the east area and the oblique transfer zone, resulting in different influence on the oil migration and accumulation. During the main hydrocarbon charge stage, the faults in the west area are characterized by bad vertical sealing and spatially dense distribution. As a result, the oil generated by the Huangtong source rocks is mostly lost along the faults during the vertical migration in the west area. This can be the mechanism proposed to explain the little contribution of the Huangtong source rocks to the oil in the oblique transfer zone. Eventually, an oil migration and accumulation model is built in the oblique transfer zone, which may provide theoretical and practical guides for the oil exploration.

Paleogene Tectonic Evolution Controls on Sequence Stratigraphic Patterns in the Fushan Sag, northern South China Sea

Tectonism is of extreme importance to sequence stratigraphic patterns in continental sedimentary basins, affecting both the architectures and internal makeup of sequences. Sequence stratigraphic framework of the Paleogene system in the Fushan sag, northern South China Sea, was built using 3D and 2D seismic data, complemented by drilling cores and well logs data. One first-order, three second-order and seven third-order sequences were identified. Analysis of paleotectonic stress field, unconformities and subsidence history showed that the Paleogene tectonic evolution presented significant characteristics of multistage and episode, and can be divided into three stages： rifting stage I（initial rifting period）, rifting stage II（rapid subsidence period）, rifting stage III（fault-depressed diversionary period）. Partition of the west and east in tectonic activity was obvious. The west area showed relatively stronger tectonic activity than the east area, especially during the rifting stage II. Episodic rifting and lateral variations in tectonic activity resulted in a wide variety of structural slope break belts, which controlled both the sequence architectures and interval makeup, and strongly constrained the development of special facies zones or sand bodies that tended to form hydrocarbon accumulation. This paper classifies the genetic types of slope break belts and their relevant sequence stratigraphic patterns within the Fushan sag, and further discusses the tectonic evolution controls on sequence stratigraphic patterns, which suggests that vertical evolution paths of structural slope break belts and relevant sequence stratigraphic patterns as a response to the Paleogene tectonic evolution were strongly controlled by sag margin types and lateral variations of tectonic activity.

Organic matter(OM)hosted pores are crucial for the storage and migration of petroleum in shale *** maturity and macerals type are important factors controlling the development of pores *** this study,six lacustrine shale samples with different thermal maturities from the first member of the Qingshankou Formation in the Songliao Basin,of which vitrinite reflectance(R_(o))ranging from 0.58% to 1.43%,were selected for a comparative *** electron microscopy(SEM)and reflected light microscopy were combined to investigate the development of organic pores in different macerals during thermal *** results show that alginite and liptodetrinite are the dominant primary macerals,followed by *** a few primary organic pores developed in the alginite at the lowest maturity(R_(o)=0.58%).As a result of petroleum generation,oil-prone macerals began to transform to initial-oil solid bitumen at the early oil window(R_(o)=0.73%)and shrinkage cracks were ***-oil solid bitumen cracked to oil,gas and post-oil bitumen by primary cracking(R_(o)=0.98%).Moreover,solid bitumen(SB)was found to be the dominant OM when R_(o)>0.98%,which indicates that SB is the product of oil-prone macerals *** secondary bubble pores were observed on SB,which formed by gas release,while devolatilization cracks developed on migrated ***,at the late oil window(Ro?1.16%),migrated SB filled the interparticle pore *** further increase in temperature,the liquid oil underwent secondary cracking into pyrobitumen and gas,and spongy pores developed on the pyrobitumen at higher levels of maturity(Ro=1.43%),which formed when pyrobitumen cracked into *** and inertinite are stable without any visible pores over the range of maturities,verifying their low petroleum generation *** addition,it was concluded that clay minerals could have a catalytic effect on the petroleum generation,which may explain why or

Quantitative identification of coal-type gas and oil-type gas in source-mixed gas at the northern margin of Qaidam Basin

The current study tested the gas component and carbon isotopic composition of gas samples from 6 oilgas fields at the northern margin of Qaidam Basin, and established a chart to quantitatively identify the mixing ratio of source-mixed gas. Besides, this research quantitatively investigated the natural gas generated by different types of organic matter. The results show that different ratios of source-mixed gas exist in the 6 oil-gas fields at the northern margin of Qaidam Basin. Among them, Mabei has the highest mixing ratio of coal-type gas, followed by Nanbaxian, Mahai, Lenghu-4, Lenghu-3 and Lenghu-5, with the ratios of coal-type gas 91%, 87%, 83%, 66%, 55% and 36%, respectively. Lenghu-3 and Lenghu-4 oil-gas fields were mainly filled by coal-type gas earlier. For Lenghu-3, the gas was mainly generated from low matured source rocks in lower Jurassic Series of Lengxi sub-sag. For Lenghu-4, the gas was mainly generated from humus-mature source rocks in lower Jurassic Series of the northern slope of Kunteyi sub-sag. Gas in Lenghu-5 was mainly later filled oil-type gas, which was generated from high matured sapropelics in lower Jurassic Series of Kunteyi sub-sag. Earlier filled coal-type gas was the main part of Mahai, Nanbaxian and Mabei oil-gas fields. Gas source of Mahai was mainly generated from high mature humics in lower Jurassic Series of Yibei sub-sag; for Nanbaxian, the gas was mainly generated from high matured humics in middle-lower Jurassic Series of Saishiteng sub-sag; for Mabei, the gas was mainly generated from humus-mature source rocks in middle Jurassic Series of Yuqia sub-sag.

Geochronology,Fluid Inclusions and Isotopic Characteristics of the Dongjun Pb-Zn-Ag Deposit,Inner Mongolia,NE China

The Dongjun Pb-Zn-Ag deposit in the northern part of the Great Xing’an Range(NE China)consists of quartzsulfide vein-type and breccia-type mineralization,related to granite *** alteration is well-developed and includes potassic-silicic-sericitic alteration,phyllic alteration and propylitic *** stages of mineralization are recognized on the basis of field evidence and petrographic observation,demarcated by assemblages of quartz-pyritearsenopyrite(early stage),quartz-polymetallic sulfide(intermediate stage)and quartz-carbonate-pyrite(late stage).Zircon LA-ICP-MS U-Pb dating indicates that the granite porphyry was emplaced at 146.7±1.2 Ma(Late Jurassic).Microthermometry and laser Raman spectroscopy shows that ore minerals were deposited in conditions of intermediate temperatures(175-359℃),low salinity(0.5-9.3 wt% Na Cl eqv.)and low density(0.60-0.91 g/cm^(3)).Ore-forming fluids were derived largely from magmatic hydrothermal processes,with late-stage addition of meteoric water,belonging to a H_(2)O-NaCl-CO_(2)±CH_(4) *** δ^(34)SV-CDT values range from 0.75‰ to 4.70‰.The ^(206)Pb/^(204)Pb,^(207)Pb/^(204)Pb,and ^(208)Pb/^(204)Pb values of the ore minerals are in the ranges of 18.240-18.371,15.542-15.570,and 38.100-38.178,*** for the S and Pb isotopic systems indicate that the ore-forming metals and sulfur were derived from Mesozoic *** on the geological characteristics and geochemical signatures documented in this study,we conclude that the Dongjun deposit is a mesothermal magmatic hydrothermal vein-type Pb-Zn-Ag deposit controlled by fractures and related to granite porphyry,in response to Late Jurassic tectonic-magmatic-hydrothermal *** further conclude that fluid immiscibility,fluid mixing and fluid-rock interactions were the dominant mechanisms for deposition of the ore-forming materials.
