Investigating the pharmacological basis and mechanisms of the anti-thrombotic effects of Paeoniae Radix Rubra， both pre- and post-stir-frying with rice wine

Paeoniae Radix Rubra (PRR) is a commonly used traditional Chinese medicine known for promoting blood circulation and alleviating pain. Stir-frying PRR with rice wine enhances its effectiveness in improving blood flow and resolving stasis. To explore the pharmacodynamic basis and mechanisms behind PRR's anti-thrombotic effects—both pre- and post-stir-frying—a comprehensive approach combining pharmacological research， metabolomics， and chemistry was employed. Fraction inter-cross validation experiments， pharmacological assessments， and metabolomic analyses confirm the efficacy of the fraction separation process. Wine-stir-fried PRR (WPRR) shows superior blood activation compared to PRR. PRR mainly affects the TCA cycle and sphingolipid metabolism pathways through its small molecules， enhancing coagulation and fibrinolysis systems' functionality. All the subdivided components of WPRR have anti-thrombotic effects， especially polysaccharides and oligosaccharides. WPRR improves thrombotic conditions in rat blood stasis by modulating arachidonic acid metabolism， TCA cycle， lipid status enhancement， and angiogenesis stimulation while regulating platelet adhesion and aggregation. In conclusion， compared with PRR， the main material basis for the blood-activating efficacy of WPRR has transformed from small molecule compounds to polysaccharide and oligosaccharide components. The action pathways of WPRR in exerting anti-thrombotic efficacy have increased. The polysaccharide components in WPRR might possess considerable potential for being developed into natural anti-thrombotic drugs.

Staged dendrite suppression for high safe and stable lithium-sulfur batteries

The unavoidable dendrite growth and shuttle effect have long been stranglehold challenges limiting the safety and practicality of lithium-sulfur ***,we propose a dual-action strategy to address the lithium dendrite issue in stages by constructing a multifunctional surface-negatively-charged nanodiamond layer with high ductility and robust puncture resistance on polypropylene (PP) *** uniformly loaded compact negative layer can not only significantly enhance electron transmission efficiency and promote uniform lithium deposition,but also reduce the formation of dendrite during early deposition *** importantly,under the strong puncture stress encountered during the deterioration of lithium dendrite growth under limiting current,the high ductility and robust puncture resistance(145.88 MPa) of as-obtained nanodiamond layer can effectively prevent short circuits caused by unavoidable lithium *** Li||Li symmetrical cells assembled with nanodiamond layer modified PP demonstrated a stable cycle of over 1000 h at 2 mA cm^(-2)with a polarization voltage of only 29.3 ***,the negative charged layer serves as a physical barrier blocking lithium polysulfide ions,effectively mitigating capacity *** improved cells achieved a capacity decay of only 0.042%per cycle after 700 cycles at 3 C,demonstrating effective suppression of dendrite growth and capacity attenuation,showing promising prospect.

China faces a significant challenge with increasing cardiovascular disease(CVD)incidence and mortality rates,imposing a heavy disease *** of 2020,approximately 330 million individuals in China suffer from CVD,including 245 million with hypertension and 13 million with stroke,not accounting for those with cardiometabolic risk factors[1].Given this context,shifting from a diseasecentered approach to a population health-centered strategy,as outlined in the“healthy China action(2019-2030)”,is critical.

Studies on Mechanisms and Blockade of Carcinogenic action of Female Sex Hormones

Tumours of mice are induced by administration of Inj. Hydroxyprogesteroni Caproatis Co. (EP) in a practical subthreshold dose of carcinogenesis or 2. 5-5 times the human contraceptive dose (simply referred to as 2. 5- to 5-fold dose) combined with whole-body 0. 5 Gy gamma-ray irradiation. Malignant transformation of Syrian golden hamster embryo (SHE) cells is also induced by 5-fold dose of EP combined with 0. 3 Gy gamma-ray irradiation in vitro, thereby indicating that synergistic carcinogenesis can be obtained by combined use of physical and chemical *** mechanisms of synergistic carcinogenesis have been further explained by cytogenetics, damage extent of the target cell DNA and production of free radicals. The Chinese traditional medicine with antioxidat-ing effect (Sulekang Capsule, SC), food additive--butylated hydroxyanisole (BHA) and green tea can effectively inhibit the carcinogenic effect of EP or EP combined with gamma rays in mice. They all have marked ability to scavenge or remove the free radicals and thereby reduce the DNA damage.

Obesogenic effects of six classes of emerging contaminants

There is growing concern about the concept that exposure to environmental chemicals may be contributing to the obesity ***,there is no consensus on the obesogenic effects of emerging contaminants from a toxicological and environmental *** potential human exposure and experimental evidence for obesogenic effects of emerging contaminants need to be systematically *** main objective of this review is to provide recommendations for further subsequent policy development following a critical analysis of the literature for humans and experimental animals exposed to emerging *** article reviews human exposure to emerging contaminants(with a focus on antimicrobials,preservatives,water and oil repellents,flame retardants,antibiotics and bisphenols)and the impact of emerging contaminants on *** emerging contaminants have been widely detected in human biological *** studies provide evidence linking exposure to emerging contaminants to the risks of obesity in *** based on animalmodels and adipose cells show the obesogenic effects of emerging contaminants and identify modes of action by which contaminants may induce changes in body fat accumulation and lipid metabolic *** knowledge gaps in this area and future directions for further investigation are discussed.

Sichuan's Practice of Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization

Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization contains new concepts, ideas, and strategies that feature Chinese characteristics and the spirit of the times and promote the progress of human civilization. Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization is also the fundamental guide for compliance and action in terms of China's practices in building an ecological civilization in the new era. Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China(CPC), Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, has made several inspection tours to Sichuan and given a series of important instructions on green development and building an ecological civilization in Sichuan province. This paper reviews the contemporary meaning and theoretical significance of Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization and uses them to systematically examine the overall performance of building a beautiful Sichuan, following the guidance of Xi Jinping's important instructions for the governance of Sichuan. This paper selects and analyzes typical cases that demonstrate the national effect in Sichuan to summarize Sichuan's unique experiences in the practice of Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization.

Background:In the Yunnan province of China,18 counties in six prefectures border *** to its particular combination of geographic features,climate conditions,and cultural landscape,the area provides a suitable environment for the spread of insect-borne diseases such as *** five identified Myanmar Special Regions along the China-Myanmar border,economic development is lagging,people live in extreme poverty,and the healthcare system is *** with political and other reasons,this precludes malaria control work to be effectively carried out in Myanmar,resulting in a heavy burden of the *** population movements and favorable conditions for malaria transmission on the border fuel difficulties in controlling and eliminating the spread of the disease in the *** presentation:To reduce the prevalence of malaria in the China-Myanmar border area and improve healthcare services for local residents in this particular environment,health Poverty action(HPA)has provided malaria aid in the area since the beginning of 2006,as a sub-recipient of the China Global Fund Malaria *** this case study,we examined HPA’s activities as part of its malaria control programs in the area,analyzed and summarized the effectiveness and impact of the cross-border healthcare model as implemented by non-governmental organizations,and put forward suggestions for cross-border health aid models and for the prevention of malaria transmission in the Greater Mekong ***:HPA had carried out a great quantity of successful malaria control activities in border areas between China and Myanmar,strengthened the partnership and established the collaboration,coordination and cooperation channels among *** has laid good groundwork and developed its valuable model that could be highlighted and referenced.
