Oxidation Mechanism and Toxicity Evolution of Linalool,a Typical Indoor Volatile Chemical Product

Linalool,a high-reactivity volatile chemical product(VCP)commonly found in cleaning products and disinfectants,is increasingly recognized as an emerging contaminant,especially in indoor *** the gas-phase oxidation mechanism of linalool is crucial for assessing its impact on atmospheric chemistry and human *** quantum chemical calculations and computational toxicology simulations,we investigated the atmospheric transformation and toxicity evolution of linalool under low and high NO/HO_(2·)levels,representing indoor and outdoor *** findings reveal that linalool can undergo the novel mechanisms involving concerted peroxy(RO_(2·))and alkoxy radical(RO·)modulated autoxidation,particularly emphasizing the importance of cyclization reactions *** expands the widely known RO_(2·)-dominated H-shift-driven autoxidation and proposes a generalized autoxidation mechanism that leads to the formation of low-volatility secondary organic aerosol(SOA)*** analysis shows that over half of transformation products(TPs)exhibited higher carcinogenicity and respiratory toxicity compared to *** also propose time-dependent toxic effects of TPs to assess their long-term *** results indicate that the strong indoor emission coupled with slow consumption rates lead to significant health risks under an indoor *** results highlight complex indoor air chemistry and health concerns regarding persistent toxic products during indoor cleaning,which involves the use of linalool or other VCPs.

Fortifying Smart Grids: A Holistic Assessment Strategy against Cyber Attacks and Physical Threats for Intelligent Electronic Devices

Intelligent electronic devices(IEDs)are interconnected via communication networks and play pivotal roles in transmitting grid-related operational data and executing control *** the context of the heightened security challenges within smart grids,IEDs pose significant risks due to inherent hardware and software vulner-abilities,as well as the openness and vulnerability of communication *** grid security,distinct from traditional internet security,mainly relies on monitoring network security events at the platform layer,lacking an effective assessment mechanism for ***,we incorporate considerations for both cyber-attacks and physical faults,presenting security assessment indicators and methods specifically tailored for ***,we outline the security monitoring technology for IEDs,considering the necessary data sources for their security ***,we classify IEDs and establish a comprehensive security monitoring index system,incorporating factors such as running states,network traffic,and abnormal *** index system contains 18 indicators in 3 ***,we elucidate quantitative methods for various indicators and propose a hybrid security assessment method known as GRCW-hybrid,combining grey relational analysis(GRA),analytic hierarchy process(AHP),and entropy weight method(EWM).According to the proposed assessment method,the security risk level of IEDs can be graded into 6 levels,namely 0,1,2,3,4,and *** higher the level,the greater the security ***,we assess and simulate 15 scenarios in 3 categories,which are based on monitoring indicators and real-world situations encountered by *** results show that calculated security risk level based on the proposed assessment method are consistent with actual ***,the reasonableness and effectiveness of the proposed index system and assessment method are validated.

Electrochemical carbon dioxide reduction reaction(CO_(2)RR)involves a variety of intermediates with highly correlated reaction and ad-desorption energies,hindering optimization of the catalytic *** example,increasing the binding of the*COOH to the active site will generally increase the*CO desorption *** this relationship may be expected to dramatically improve the intrinsic activity of CO_(2)RR,but remains an unsolved ***,we addressed this conundrum by constructing a unique atomic dispersed hetero-pair consisting of Mo-Fe di-atoms anchored on N-doped carbon *** system shows an unprecedented CO_(2)RR intrinsic activity with TOF of 3336 h−1,high selectivity toward CO production,Faradaic efficiency of 95.96%at−0.60 V and excellent *** calculations show that the Mo-Fe diatomic sites increased the*COOH intermediate adsorption energy by bridging adsorption of*COOH *** the same time,d-d orbital coupling in the Mo-Fe di-atom results in electron delocalization and facilitates desorption of*CO ***,the undesirable correlation between these steps is *** work provides a promising approach,specifically the use of di-atoms,for breaking unfavorable relationships based on understanding of the catalytic mechanisms at the atomic scale.

Achieving Negatively Charged Pt Single Atoms on Amorphous Ni(OH)_(2)Nanosheets with Promoted Hydrogen Absorption in Hydrogen Evolution

Single-atom(SA)catalysts with nearly 100%atom utilization have been widely employed in electrolysis for decades,due to the outperforming catalytic activity and ***,most of the reported SA catalysts are fixed through the strong bonding between the dispersed single metallic atoms with nonmetallic atoms of the substrates,which greatly limits the controllable regulation of electrocatalytic activity of SA *** this work,Pt-Ni bonded Pt SA catalyst with adjustable electronic states was successfully constructed through a controllable electrochemical reduction on the coordination unsaturated amorphous Ni(OH)_(2)nanosheet *** on the X-ray absorption fine structure analysis and first-principles calculations,Pt SA was bonded with Ni sites of amorphous Ni(OH)_(2),rather than conventional O sites,resulting in negatively charged Pt^(δ-).In situ Raman spectroscopy revealed that the changed configuration and electronic states greatly enhanced absorbability for activated hydrogen atoms,which were the essential intermediate for alkaline hydrogen evolution *** hydrogen spillover process was revealed from amorphous Ni(OH)_(2)that effectively cleave the H-O-H bond of H_(2)O and produce H atom to the Pt SA sites,leading to a low overpotential of 48 mV in alkaline electrolyte at-1000 mA cm^(-2)mg^(-1)_(Pt),evidently better than commercial Pt/C *** work provided new strategy for the control-lable modulation of the local structure of SA catalysts and the systematic regulation of the electronic states.

Analysis and Design of Time-Delay Impulsive Systems Subject to Actuator Saturation

This paper investigates the exponential stability and performance analysis of nonlinear time-delay impulsive systems subject to actuator saturation. When continuous dynamics is unstable, under some conditions, it is shown that the system can be stabilized by a class of saturated delayed-impulses regardless of the length of input delays. Conversely, when the system is originally stable, it is shown that under some conditions, the system is robust with respect to sufficient small delayed-impulses. Moreover, the design problem of the controller with the goal of obtaining a maximized estimate of the domain of attraction is formulated via a convex optimization problem. Three examples are provided to demonstrate the validity of the main results.

This paper concerns ultimately bounded output-feedback control problems for networked systems with unknown nonlinear dynamics. Sensor-to-observer signal transmission is facilitated over networks that has communication *** transmissions are carried out over an unreliable communication channel. In order to enhance the utilization rate of measurement data, a buffer-aided strategy is novelly employed to store historical measurements when communication networks are inaccessible. Using the neural network technique, a novel observer-based controller is introduced to address effects of signal transmission behaviors and unknown nonlinear *** the application of stochastic analysis and Lyapunov stability, a joint framework is constructed for analyzing resultant system performance under the introduced controller. Subsequently, existence conditions for the desired output-feedback controller are delineated. The required parameters for the observerbased controller are then determined by resolving some specific matrix inequalities. Finally, a simulation example is showcased to confirm method efficacy.

A straightforward three-component decarboxylative cross-coupling of α-keto acids, alkenes and sodium bisulfite is established for the construction of otherwise challenging-to-access β-keto sultine derivatives. This reaction involves the photoinduced carbonylsulfination of alkenes and utilizes sodium bisulfite as both a sulfur dioxide surrogate and buffer agent for deprotonation of α-keto carboxylic acids. Of note, the practical procedure featured broad substrate scope and group tolerance for diverse biologically important molecules under mild and operationally simple conditions, using an organic photocatalyst. Mechanistic studies indicated that the transformation proceeds an apparent two-pronged radical addition/radical-polar crossover/SO2insertion/ionic cyclization relay process, distinct from traditional alkenes bifunctionalization.

Entanglement dynamics in κ-deformed spacetime

We treat two identical and mutually independent two-level atoms that are coupled to a quantum field as an open quantum *** master equation that governs their evolution is derived by tracing over the degree of freedom of the *** this,we compare the entanglement dynamics of the two atoms moving with different trajectories inκ-deformed and Minkowski ***,when the environment-induced interatomic interaction does not exist,the entanglement dynamics of two static atoms inκ-deformed spacetime are reduced to that in Minkowski spacetime in the case that the spacetime deformation parameterκis sufficiently large as theoretically ***,if the atoms undergo relativistic motion,regardless of whether inertial or non-inertial,their entanglement dynamics inκ-deformed spacetime behave differently from that in Minkowski spacetime even whenκis *** investigate various types of entanglement behavior,such as decay and generation,and discuss how different relativistic motions,such as uniform motion in a straight line and circular motion,amplify the differences in the entanglement dynamics between theκ-deformed and Minkowski spacetime *** addition,when the environment-induced interatomic interaction is considered,we find that it may also enhance the differences in the entanglement dynamics between these two ***,in principle,one can tell whether she/he is inκ-deformed or Minkowski spacetime by checking the entanglement behavior between two atoms in certain circumstances.

A review of structure-activity relationship， enzymatic and genetic modulation of exopolysaccharides from lactic acid bacteria

Lactic acid bacteria (LAB) exopolysaccharides (EPS) reveal high safety and multiple activities， and are typical postbiotics produced by LAB during fermentation. In this paper， 6583 articles on LAB-EPS from web of science and ELSEVIER databases were retrieved， and 236 articles related to this review were screened. The EPS from 90 LAB strains were summarized in terms of their extraction methods， yield， molecular weight， monosaccharide composition， glycosidic bond configuration and the structural and activity relationships (SARs). However， there exist great challenges as for the low yield and high cost in EPS production. Therefore， this review further elaborated the mechanism of EPS secretion， the anabolic pathway of EPS， the structure and mechanism of key enzymes involving in EPS synthesis process， the prospect of gene regulation for EPS secretion， and proposed the engineering strategies for increasing EPS yield or tailored EPS design in recent years. In addition， CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing technology was also discussed in the production control of EPS in LAB. Finally， the engineering strategy of increasing EPS yield in recent years was proposed. This work might provide important theoretical support for the production and application of LAB-based EPS.
