Predicting PM_(2.5) Concentration in the Yangtze River Delta Region Using Climate System Monitoring Indices and Machine Learning

Changing meteorological conditions during autumn and winter have considerable impact on air quality in the Yangtze River Delta(YRD)*** climatic factors,such as sea surface temperature and sea ice,together with the atmospheric circulation,directly affect meteorological conditions in the YRD region,thereby modulating the variation in atmospheric PM_(2.5) *** study used the evolutionary modeling machine learning technique to investigate the lag relationship between 144 climate system monitoring indices and autumn/winter PM_(2.5) concentration over 0-12 months in the YRD *** calculating the contribution ratios and lagged correlation coefficients of all indices over the previous 12 months,the top 36 indices were selected for model ***,the nine indices that contributed most to the PM_(2.5) concentration in the YRD region,including the decadal oscillation index of the Atlantic Ocean and the consistent warm ocean temperature index of the entire tropical Indian Ocean,were selected for physical mechanism *** evolutionary model was developed to forecast the average PM_(2.5) concentration in major cities of the YRD in autumn and winter,with a correlation coefficient of *** model testing,the correlation coefficient between the predicted and observed PM_(2.5) concentrations was in the range of 0.73-0.83 and the root-mean-square error was in the range of 9.5-11.6μg m-3,indicating high predictive *** model performed exceptionally well in capturing abnormal changes in PM_(2.5) concentration in the YRD region up to 50 days in advance.

Our previous studies have successfully grafted biotin and galactose onto chitosan(CS)and synthesized biotin modified galactosylated chitosan(Bio-GC).The optimum N/P ratio of Bio-GC and plasmid DNA was 3:*** this N/P ratio,the transfection efficiency in the hepatoma cells was the highest with a slow release ***-GC nanomaterials exhibit the protective effect of preventing the gene from nuclease degradation,and can target the transfection into hepatoma cells by combination with galactose and biotin *** transfection rate was inhibited by the competition of galactose and ***-GC nanomaterials were imported into cells’cytoplasm by their receptors,followed by the imported exogenous gene transfected into the ***-GC nanomaterials can also cause inhibitory activity in the hepatoma cells in the model of orthotopic liver transplantation in mice,by carrying the gene through the blood to the hepatoma *** together,bio-GC nanomaterials act as gene vectors with the activity of protecting the gene from DNase degradation,improving the rate of transfection in hepatoma cells,and transporting the gene into the cytoplasm in vitro and in ***,they are efficient hepatoma-targeting gene carriers.

目的:观察针灸对子宫内膜异位症(EMS)泛素样PHD和含环指结构域蛋白1(UHRF1)和DNA甲基转移酶1(DNMT1)的影响。方法:将40只Sprague-Dawley大鼠按体质量随机分为假手术组10只和造模组30只。造模组大鼠复制EMS模型后随机分为模型组、针灸组和孕酮组,每组10只。固定器固定各组大鼠。假手术组和模型组予以生理盐水灌胃;针灸组予以针刺血海和三阴交,艾灸关元和生理盐水灌胃;孕酮组给予地屈孕酮生理盐水混悬液灌胃。治疗28 d后,测量大鼠异位囊肿三径(长、宽及厚度)并计算体积,减掉干预前异位囊肿体积,取差值评估异位囊肿生长情况;实时荧光定量聚合酶链反应和免疫组织化学法检测正常子宫内膜、在位及异位内膜组织UHRF1、DNMT1 mRNA和蛋白水平。结果:针灸组和孕酮组异位囊肿体积差值无统计学差异(P>0.05),但均小于模型组异位囊肿体积差值(P0.05)。结论:针灸可能通过上调异位内膜组织中UHRF1 mRNA和UHRF1、DNMT1蛋白水平,使其趋于正常子宫内膜水平,从而达到缩小异位囊肿体积,治疗大鼠子宫内膜异位症的效应。

As a broad-spectrum entomogenous fungus,Metarhizium *** widely used to control the underground crop *** there are few studies on its control of soil-borne *** entomogenous fungi can prevent plant diseases has become one of the hotspots in the field of biological *** is one of the three major food crops in my *** verticillium is the main pathogen of root rot,stem rot and ear rot of *** this paper,eight biocontrol strains of Metarhizium spp.M1-M8 and Fusarium verticillium were selected for plate confrontation *** to the growth characteristics of Metarhizium spp.,Metarhizium *** first inoculated on the PDA plate for 6 days of culture,then Fusarium verticillium was inoculated to study the inhibitory effect of different species of Metarhizium *** Fusarium verticillium in *** test found that all of 8 Metarhizium *** could produce antibacterial zones against Fusarium *** which,M3(Metarhizium anisopliae) had the highest plate inhibition rate against Fusarium verticillium,reaching 57.2%,followed by the antibacterial rate of M2(Metarhizium anisopliae microsporum variant) was 44.44%,and the bacteriostatic rate of M5(Metarhizium anisopliae ***) was the lowest,only27.51%.The results show that some species of Metarhizium *** effectively inhibit the growth of pathogenic bacteria of soil-borne diseases,and have the dual effects of controlling underground pests and soil-borne pathogenic bacteria,and have good development and application prospects.

Neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio associated with renal function in type 2 diabetic patients

BACKGROUND Type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)is a leading risk factor for the development and progression of chronic kidney disease(CKD).However,an accurate and con-venient marker for early detection and appropriate management of CKD in in-dividuals with T2DM is *** studies have demonstrated a strong correlation between the neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio(NLR)and ***-theless,the predictive value of NLR for renal damage in type 2 diabetic patients remains *** study included 1040 adults aged 65 or older with T2DM from shanghai's Community Health service *** total number of neutrophils and lym-phocytes was detected,and NLR levels were *** was defined as an estimated glomerular filtration rate≤60 mL/min/1.73 m².Participants were di-vided into four groups based on NLR *** clinical data and biochemical characteristics were compared among groups.A multivariate logistic regression model was used to analyze the association between NLR levels and *** Significant differences were found in terms of sex,serum creatinine,blood urea nitrogen,total cholesterol,and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol among patients with T2DM in different NLR groups(P<0.0007).T2DM patients in the highest NLR quartile had a higher prevalence of CKD(P for trend=0.0011).Multivariate logistic regression analysis indicated that a high NLR was an independent risk factor for CKD in T2DM patients even after adjustment for important clinical and pathological parameters(P=0.0001,odds ratio=1.41,95%confidence intervals:1.18-1.68).CONCLUSION An elevated NLR in patients with T2DM is associated with higher prevalence of CKD,suggesting that it could be a marker for the detection and evaluation of diabetic kidney disease.

Globally,2023 was the warmest observed year on record since at least 1850 and,according to proxy evidence,possibly of the past 100000 *** in recent years,the record warmth has again been accompanied with yet more extreme weather and climate events throughout the ***,we provide an overview of those of 2023,with details and key background causes to help build upon our understanding of the roles of internal climate variability and anthropogenic climate *** also highlight emerging features associated with some of these extreme *** extremes are occurring earlier in the year,and increasingly simultaneously in differing parts of the world(e.g.,the concurrent hot extremes in the Northern Hemisphere in July 2023).Intense cyclones are exacerbating precipitation extremes(e.g.,the North China flooding in July and the Libya flooding in September).Droughts in some regions(e.g.,California and the Horn of Africa)have transitioned into flood *** extremes also show increasing interactions with ecosystems via wildfires(e.g.,those in Hawaii in August and in Canada from spring to autumn 2023)and sandstorms(e.g.,those in Mongolia in April 2023).Finally,we also consider the challenges to research that these emerging characteristics present for the strategy and practice of adaptation.

An observational and modeling study of a sea fog event over the yellow and east China seas on 17 March 2014

The Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer(MODIS)satellite imagery,weather charts,objectively reanalyzed data,the observational data and station sounding data were analyzed to investigate a sea fog event occurred over the Yellow and East China Seas on March 17,*** sounding profiles,weather situations and the related meteorological factors during the development and dissipation stages of this sea fog event were *** Research Forecast(WRF)model was applied to simulate this sea fog *** simulated horizontal atmospheric visibility,cloud water,humidity,and vertical wind profile during the different stages of this fog event were *** the development stage of this sea fog,a southerly lower-jet with 16-18 ms-1,an inversion layer and a cold center over the Yellow Sea were *** relative humidity in the fog area was above 95%.The specific humidity over the East China Sea was higher than that over the Yellow *** was dominated in fog ***,during the dissipation stage of this sea fog,westerly replaced the southerly and at the lower level,southerly jet disappeared.A dry air area formed over the Shandong Peninsula and moved ***,the WRF modeling result showed that the simulated atmospheric horizontal visibility and cloud water were approximately consistent with the MODIS satellite *** of cloud water concentrated below 200-400 m,and the cloud water in the southern part of fog area extended to a higher height than the northern *** both of air temperature and dew-point temperature were close to sea surface temperature.
