Introduction:Varicella outbreaks significantly disrupt schools and other child-centered *** study aimed to identify patterns and epidemiological features of varicella outbreaks in China from 2006 to ***:Data were extracted from outbreak reports submitted to the Public Health Emergency Reporting management Information System within the specified *** methods included Spearman correlation tests and the Mann-Kendall trend tests,conducted using R software to analyze and summarize reported ***,statistical analyses of trends and epidemiological characteristics were performed using SPSS ***:Between 2006 and 2022,a total of 11,990 varicella outbreaks were reported in China,resulting in 354,082 *** attack rates showed a decreasing trend over the years(Z=−4.49,P<0.05).These outbreaks occurred in two peaks *** eastern region accounted for the highest number of outbreaks(31.53%),followed by the southwestern(24.22%)and southern(17.93%)*** outbreaks were most common in elementary *** of the outbreaks(60.43%)were classified as Grade IV(general)severity,with 86.41%of the outbreaks having 10–49 *** median and inter-quartile ranges(IQR)of the duration of outbreaks,response time,and case counts were 21(10,39)days,4(0,12)days,and 23(16,35)cases,*** variables showed a positive correlation(P<0.001).Conclusions:Varicella outbreaks exhibited fluctuating trends,initially decreasing until 2012,followed by an increase,reaching the highest peak in 2018–*** monitoring of varicella epidemiology is necessary to assess the burden of the disease and formulate evidence-based strategies and policies for its prevention and control.

Flue gas desulfurization gypsum and clover planting alleviated the soil salinization *** pH and total phosphorus affected the bacterial *** phosphorus affected the fungal *** gas desulfurization gypsum and clover planting improved jujube *** coastal area of Shandong Province,characterized by coastal saline tidal soil,is one of the main production areas of winter jujube in ***,the low soil fertility and poor soil structure in jujube orchard restricted the development of the jujube *** objectives of this study were to 1)evaluate the effect of application of flue gas desulfurization(FGD)gypsum and clover planting on soil quality improvement and soil microbial community structure of jujube orchard;2)investigate the effects of two measures on the nutrition and quality of winter *** results showed that FGD gypsum reduced the soil total salt content by 65.6%,and clover planting increased the soil organic matter content by 30.7%,which effectively alleviated the soil salinization stress and improved the soil *** pH and total phosphorus(TP)were the main determinants influencing bacterial community composition,and TP was the dominant factor of the fungal community composition in the saline-alkali ***,FGD gypsum addition and clover planting significantly increased the sugar degree and Vc content of winter jujube,thus improved jujube quality,and further contributed to the ecological sustainable development of winter jujube industry.

Objective:This study was conducted to explore the relationships among sedentary behavior(SB),electronic product addiction(EPA),and depression(D)in adolescents during the COVID-19 ***:A total of 604 adolescents(including 309 girls and 295 boys aged 12-18)were selected from Qufu city,Shandong Province,China for three rounds of *** model was constructed using AMOS 23.0 software,and cross-lagged analysis was ***:SB at T1 can significantly positively predict SB and EPA at T2(p<0.05).EPA at T1 can significantly positively predict SB and D at T2(p<0.05).Physical activity level and SB at T2 can significantly predict SB and EPA at T3(p<0.05).EPA at T2 can significantly predict SB,EPA,and D at T3(p<0.05).Conclusions:SB and EPA are predictive factors for ***,SB can significantly positively predict D and indirectly predict D through the mediating effect of EPA.

Different Mortality Effects of Extreme Temperature Stress in Three Large city Clusters of Northern and Southern China

Extreme temperature events have affected Chinese city residents more frequently and intensively since the early 2000 s, but few studies have identified the impacts of extreme temperature on mortality in different city clusters of China. This study first used a distributed lag,nonlinear model to estimate the county/district-specific effects of extreme temperature on nonaccidental and cardiovascular mortality. The authors then applied a multivariate meta-analysis to pool the estimated effects in order to derive regional temperature–mortality relationship in three large city clusters—the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei(BTH)region, the Yangtze River Delta(YRD), and the Pearl River Delta(PRD), which represent northern and southern regions. With 0–3 days' lag, the strongest heat-related mortality effect was observed in the BTH region(with relative risk(RR) of 1.29; 95% confidence interval(CI):1.13–1.47), followed by the YRD(RR = 1.25; 95% CI:1.13–1.35) and the PRD(RR = 1.14; 95% CI: 1.01–1.28)areas. With 0–21 days' lag, the cold effect was pronounced in all city clusters, with the highest extreme cold-related mortality risk found in the PRD area(RR = 2.27; 95% CI:1.63–3.16), followed by the YRD area(RR = 1.85; 95%CI: 1.56–2.20) and BTH region(RR = 1.33; 95% CI:0.96–1.83). People in the southern regions tended to be more vulnerable to cold stress, but the northern population was more sensitive to heat stress. By examining the effects of extreme temperature in city clusters of different regions,our findings underline the role of adaptation towards heat and cold, which has important implications for public health policy making and practice.

Introduction:Respiratory infectious diseases,such as influenza and coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19),present significant global public health *** emergence of artificial intelligence(AI)and big data offers opportunities to improve traditional disease surveillance and early warning ***:The study analyzed data from January 2020 to May 2023,comprising influenza-like illness(ILI)statistics,Baidu index,and clinical data from *** methodologies were evaluated:the adaptive dynamic threshold method(ADTM)for dynamic threshold adjustments,the machine learning supervised method(MLSM),and the machine learning unsupervised method(MLUM)utilizing anomaly *** comparison focused on sensitivity,specificity,timeliness,and warning ***:ADTM issued 37 warnings with a sensitivity of 71%and a specificity of 85%.MLSM generated 35 warnings,with a sensitivity of 82%and a specificity of 87%.MLUM produced 63 warnings with a sensitivity of 100%and specificity of 80%.The initial warnings from ADTM and MLUM preceded those from MLSM by five *** Kappa coefficient indicated moderate agreement between the methods,with values ranging from 0.52 to 0.62(P<0.05).Discussion:The study explores the comparison between traditional methods and two machine learning approaches for early warning *** emphasizes the validation of machine learning’s reliability and underscores the unique advantages of each ***,it stresses the significance of integrating machine learning models with various data sources to enhance public health preparedness and response,alongside acknowledging limitations and the need for broader validation.
