Evolution of microalloyed Linepipe steels With Particular Emphasis on the “Near Stoichiometry” Low Carbon,0.10 Percent Niobium “HTP” Concept

microalloyed linepipe steels were first introduced in 1959 at strength levels around 52-60 ksi [1] [2].The steels were generally strengthened by niobium or vanadium used *** strengths levels inc.eased to X-70 in the early 1970’s niobium and vanadium were used in combination and controlled rolling was introduced on a broad *** strengths decrease tolerance for impurities and non-metallic inc.usions which required improved steelmaking ***,carbon,and nitrogen were reduced and continuous casting was inc.easingly applied which required improved ladle refining and deoxidation ***-molybdenum steels were introduced by IPSCO in 1972 [3] and by Italsider in 1974 [4].steels with higher niobium contents were also introduced in the early 1970’s but available steelmaking technologies limited the use of optimum niobium to carbon ratios,*** approaching *** the steels benefited from the effect of niobium in retarding austenite recrystallization at relatively high rolling temperatures and they developed attractive combinations of strength and toughness in old manufacturing facilities using simple (relaxed) rolling *** in the price of molybdenum and vanadium in the past decade and expanded application of API Grade X-80 linepipe,have led to more widespread use of niobium contents up to 0.11 percent,in combination with 0.02-0.03 percent carbon (near stoichiometry) thus maximizing the effects of solute niobium during rolling,in lowering transformation temperature,and thereby reducing reliance on other alloying,often expensive,*** history of these developments will be presented and applications of the concept will be summarized.

Severe ground-level ozone(O_(3))pollution over major Chinese cities has become one of the most challenging problems,which have deleterious effects on human health and the sustainability of *** study explored the spatiotemporal distribution characteristics of ground-level O_(3) and its precursors based on conventional pollutant and meteorological monitoring data in Zhejiang Provinc. from 2016 to ***,a high-performance convolutional neural network(CNN)model was established by expanding the moment and the concentration variations to general ***,the response mechanism of O_(3) to the variation with crucial influencing factors is explored by controlling variables and interpolating target *** results indicated that the annual average MDA8-90th concentrations in Zhejiang Provinc. are higher in the northern and lower in the *** the wind direction(WD)ranges from east to southwest and the wind speed(WS)ranges between 2 and 3 m/sec,higher O_(3) concentration prone to *** different temperatures(T),the O_(3) concentration showed a trend of first inc.easing and subsequently decreasing with inc.easing NO_(2) concentration,peaks at the NO_(2) concentration around 0.02mg/m^(3).The sensitivity of NO_(2) to O_(3) formation is not easily affected by temperature,barometric pressure and dew point ***,there is a minimum IRNO_(2) at each temperature when the NO_(2) concentration is 0.03 mg/m^(3),and this minimum IRNO_(2) decreases with inc.easing *** study explores the response mechanism of O_(3) with the change of driving variables,which can provide a scientific foundation and methodological support for the targeted management of O_(3) pollution.

A Diffusion Model for Traffic Data Imputation

Imputation of missing data has long been an important topic and an essential application for intelligent transportation systems(ITS) in the real world. As a state-of-the-art generative model, the diffusion model has proven highly successful in image generation, speech generation, time series modelling *** now opens a new avenue for traffic data imputation. In this paper, we propose a conditional diffusion model, called the implicit-explicit diffusion model, for traffic data imputation. This model exploits both the implicit and explicit feature of the data simultaneously. More specifically, we design two types of feature extraction modules, one to capture the implicit dependencies hidden in the raw data at multiple time scales and the other to obtain the long-term temporal dependencies of the time series. This approach not only inherits the advantages of the diffusion model for estimating missing data, but also takes into account the multiscale correlation inherent in traffic data. To illustrate the performance of the model, extensive experiments are conducted on three real-world time series datasets using different missing *** experimental results demonstrate that the model improves imputation accuracy and generalization capability.

Changes in microorganisms and metabolites during long-term fermentation of commercially manufactured anchovy sauce

This study was performed to investigate the changes in microbial communities and metabolites during the long-term fermentation of commercially manufactured anchovy *** of commercial anchovy sauce were collected from large-scale fermentation tanks with fermentation periods of up to 7.87 *** complex bacterial community was simplified to two genera,Tetragenococcus and Halanaerobium,after approximately 0.55 years of *** genera,such as Saccharomyces,Cladosporium,Candida,and Aspergillus,were relatively dominant,no clear pattern was identified in fungal community *** longitudinal metabolite profile demonstrated that approximately half(55.8%)of the metabolites present in anchovy sauce were produced within a year of fermentation due to rapid *** the static microbial community,the contents of several metabolites inc.uding amino acids and biogenic amines changed continuously during the long-term fermentation of anchovy *** study provides novel insights into the changes in microbiota and metabolites in fish sauce produced without any starter inoculation.

Monogamous nature of symmetric N-qubit states of the W class: Concurrence and negativity tangle

Using Majorana representation of symmetric N-qubit pure states, we have examined the monogamous nature of the family of states with two-distinc. spinors, the W class of states. We have evaluated the N-concurrence tangle and showed that all the states in this family have vanishing concurrence tangle. The negativity tangle for the W class of states is shown to be non-zero, illustrating the fact that the concurrence tangle is always lesser than or equal to the negativity tangle in a pure N-qubit state.

Nuclear Fusion Within Extremely Dense Plasma Enhanced by Quantum Particle Waves

Quantum effects play an enhancement role in p-p chain reactions occurring within stars. Such an enhancement is quantified by a wave penetration factor that is proportional to the density of the participating fuel particles. This leads to an innovative theory for dense plasma, and its result shows good agreement with independent data derived from the solar energy output. An analysis of the first Z-pinc. machine in mankind＇s history exhibiting neutron emission leads to a derived deuterium plasma beam density greater than that of water, with plasma velocities exceeding 10000 km/s. Fusion power could be achieved by the intersection of four such pinc.ed plasma beams with powerful head-on collisions in their common focal region due to the beam and target enhanced reaction.

Fusion of Multi-Pinc.ed Plasma Beams Converging with Spatial Symmetry

Fusion reactions can be achieved by using deuterium from sea water as the *** amount of deuterium in one gallon of sea water contains energy equivalent to three hundred gallons of *** conditions of plasma temperature and density necessary to initiate fusion have been achieved in various research ***,the confinement time is not sufficient for ignition due to plasma *** we show that fatal plasma instabilities could be suppressed by the ingenious arrangement of multi-pinc.ed plasma beams converging symmetrically in space based on the minimization princ.ple of plasma potential *** tests are proposed using tiny wires containing *** successful,the results could lead to a feasible approach to obtaining commercial fusion power from sea water,hence without the need to use expensive and radioactive tritium as the fuel.

Fusion Reaction Rate Coefficient for Different Beam and Target Scenarios

Fusion power output is proportional not only to the fuel particle number densities participating in reaction but also to the fusion reaction rate coefficient （or reactivity）, which is dependent on reactant velocity distribution functions. They are usuMly assumed to be dual Maxwellian distribution functions with the same temperature for thermal nuclear fusion circumstances. However, if high power neutral beam injection and minority ion species ICRF plasma heating, or multi-pinc.ed plasma beam head-on collision, in a converging region are required and investigated in future large scale fusion reactors, then the fractions of the injected energetic fast ion tail resulting from ionization or charge exchange will be large enough and their contribution to the non-Maxwellian distribution functions is not negligible, hence to the fusion reaction rate coefficient or calculation of fusion power. In such cases, beam-target, and beam-beam reaction enhancement effect contributions should play very important roles. In this paper, several useful formulae to calculate the fusion reaction rate coefticient for different beam and target combination scenarios are derived in detail

Reverse mode switching of the random laser emission in dye doped liquid crystals under homogeneous and inhomogeneous electric fields

We report the observation of electric field induced random lasing in a dye doped liquid crystal system. This was achieved by using a liquid crystal host with negative dielectric anisotropy doped with laser dye PM 597 in a 75 μm cell with a homeotropic alignment layer. In the absence of an applied field, only amplified spontaneous emission was observed sinc. the liquid crystal orientation was uniform. However, application of a field resulted in a fieldinduced planar-like configuration with local nonuniformity in liquid crystal orientation. This led to random lasing in the energized state(voltage greater than a transition threshold). The onset of lasing occurs by application of either a spatially homogenous or a spatially inhomogeneous electric field across the liquid crystal. The characteristics of the emission spectra as a function of different(i) dye concentration and(ii) applied voltage were investigated using nanosecond pulsed laser excitation at 532 nm. The effects of using an inhomogeneous field were compared to the use of a homogenous field and reported. It is shown that the spatial configuration can be used to alter the emission spectra of the system. The work is used to suggest a new configuration, referred to here as"reverse mode," for liquid crystal-based random lasers. This new configuration may provide additional avenues for their use in commercial devices.
