Indonesia is one of the largest coconut-producing countries in the *** utilization of coconut shell waste into briquettes will increase the selling value and become a great export ***,the effect of adhesives on the quality of coconut shell charcoal briquettes made using screw extruder machine has not been widely *** study aims to determine the effect of adhesive type on the quality of coconut shell charcoal *** process of fabricating briquettes in this study included crushing,mixing,blending,pressing,and *** the mixing process,3 types of adhesives were used,namely tapioca flour(Briquette_1),cassava flour(Briquette_2),and modified cassava flour(Briquette_3)with a concentration of 5%of the weight of coconut shell charcoal *** quality of the resulting briquettes and commercial briquettes will be evaluated by moisture content,ash content,volatile matter,fixed carbon,calorific value,density,compressive,and drop test *** results of this research showed that the type of adhesive had a significant effect on the quality of the briquettes *** Briquette_1 had better quality than commercial briquettes(Briquette_4)and other briquette *** test results showed that Briquette_1 produced briquettes with better compressive strength and friability than the other specimens,at 6.95 N/mm^(2) and 4.44%,*** moisture content,ash content,fixed carbon,and calorific value of Briquette_1 have met.the requirements set by the Indonesian National Standard(SNI)number ***,the volatile matter content and density of Briquette_1 are by the standards of Japan and the United States America(USA).

Pharmacokinetic Comparison and Bioequivalence Evaluation of Two 20-mg Vonoprazan Fumarate Tablets in Bangladeshi Healthy Male Subjects

Background: Vonoprazan fumarate, a novel potassium-competitive acid blocker, outperforms traditional proton pump inhibitors in acid suppression and can be effectively combined with antibiotics to eradicate Helicobacter pylori. Objective: The study aimed to determine if two Vonoprazan formulations—Vonoprazan Fumarate 20 mg Tablet of Beximco Pharmaceuticals Limited, Bangladesh (test product) and Takecab 20 mg Tablet of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited, Japan (reference product)—met.FDA’s bioequivalence requirements by comparing their pharmacokinetic characteristics in healthy Bangladeshi adults. met.ods: This was a single-center, randomized, open-label, two-period, two-sequence, laboratory-blind, double-crossover experiment. After 10 hours of fasting, 18 subjects were randomly assigned to receive a single oral dose of either formulation. During each treatment period, blood samples were collected at specific times (pre-dose and up to 48 hours post-dose) to measure plasma Vonoprazan levels using liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectromet.y. A non-compartmental model was used to calculate pharmacokinetic paramet.rs using the plasma drug concentration-time profile. A statistical comparison of the pharmacokinetic paramet.rs of the two formulations of the test and reference product was conducted using SAS® statistical software to assess the bioequivalence. Primary pharmacokinetic paramet.rs (Cmax, AUC0-t, and AUC0-∞) and secondary paramet.rs (Tmax, T1/2, Kel, and AUC extrapolation) were calculated for both drug formulations. If the confidence intervals for the natural log-transformed Cmax, AUC0-t, and AUC0-∞ values fell between 80% and 125%, the drug products would be considered bioequivalent. Result: The geomet.ic mean ratio of Vonoprazan between the test and reference groups was found to be 109.04% (99.47% - 119.53%), 101.37% (95.58% - 107.50%), and 101.24% (95.43% - 107.41%), with 90% confidence intervals (CIs) for the Cmax, AUC0–t, and AUC0–∞, and these outcomes

[Objectives]To optimize the formulation and preparation of oregano oil microspheres by Box-Behnken response surface met.odology.[met.ods]Chitosan was used as the carrier material to prepare oregano oil microspheres by emulsion crosslinking *** encapsulation efficiency,drug loading and ID 50 were used as the evaluation indicators,and the comprehensive score(OD)obtained by"coefficient of variation-AHP comprehensive weighting met.od"was used as the final evaluation *** formulation design and preparation process were optimized by single factor experiment and Box-Behnken response surface met.odology,and the optimal process paramet.rs were determined.[Results]The optimal formulation and preparation process paramet.rs of oregano oil microspheres were as follows:the ratio of oregano oil to chitosan was 2∶1,the emulsifying speed of double emulsion was 200 r/min,the amount of emulsifier in the colostrum was 4%,and the volume of curing agent was 1.0 *** average encapsulation efficiency was 45.33%±1.32%,the average drug loading was 30.59%±2.45%,and the median diamet.r(ID 50)was 52.596μm±0.023%.[Conclusions]The encapsulation efficiency,drug loading and ID 50 of oregano oil chitosan microspheres prepared by emulsion crosslinking met.od met.the *** drug-loaded microsphere not only can be used as a preparation finished product for direct application,but also be used as a product intermediate to lay a foundation for the research and development of subsequent dosage forms.

Follow the Leader:Preference for Specific Amino Acids Directly Following the Initial met.ionine in Proteins of Different Organisms

It is well established that the vast majority of proteins of all taxonomical groups and species are initiated by an AUG codon, translated into the amino acid met.ionine （met.. Many attempts were made to evaluate the importance of the sequences surrounding the initiation codon, mostly focusing on the RNA sequence. However, the role and importance of the amino acids following the initiating met.residue were rarely investigated, mostly in bacteria and fungi. Herein, we computationally examined the protein sequences of all major taxonomical groups represented in the Swiss-Prot database, and evaluated the preference of each group to specific amino acids at the positions directly following the initial met. The results indicate that there is a species-specific preference for the second amino acid of the majority of protein sequences. Interestingly, the preference for a certain amino acid at the second position changes throughout evolution from lysine in prokaryotes, through serine in lower eukaryotes, to alanine in higher plants and animals.

Effect of Preparation Technology Paramet.rs on the Restriction Performances of Unitary Titanium Porous Restrictor

Unitary titanium porous restrictor was prepared by a sintering welding technique. The results indicated that the restriction performance of unitary Ti porous restrictor was not only dependent on the morphology and particle size of the original powder, but also influenced by the molding pressure, sintering temperature and sintering pressure. The restrictor obtained from titanium powder with large particle size or spherical morphology possesses big porosity, large pore size and high permeability but low restriction. Instead, the restrictor derived from fine powder with irregular morphology had small porosity, narrow pore size but high restriction performance. In addition, the restriction ability of the titanium porous restrictor met.ls increased by increasing of molding and sintering pressure and the sintering temperature. However, a much higher sintering temperature induced a bad welding status, which ascribed to excessive sintering shrinkage of the porous restrictor, and the cracks between the porous body and the compact shell easily occurred. Finally, the strength of the dense Ti shell would decrease due to the flaws caused by the grain growth during sintering process. It was an ideal met.od to avoid the grain growth at high temperature through increasing the molding and sintering pressure and decreasing the sintering temperature, which could obtain a good sinter behavior and air tightness between the porous body and the Ti shell, thus, which satisfied the requirements in the applications.

lntemet.services on bioinformatics still remain a popular tool for the researchers. Here the authors present a recently developed web-site http：//*** where several tools and pipelines for protein structure prediction are implemented. The prediction of a structure for a particular protein often requires a sensitive and iterative approach, and the web-site provides an environment for this kind of work. Software that is used in the services includes both free programs available in the Internet and newly developed algorithms. The service on homology screening in PDB for a structure template is implemented using an approach that is alternative to well-known BLAST algorithm and it has some advantages over BLAST. The service on homology modeling uses well-known Nest program. The service on protein energy estimate allows selecting a best template in the set of homologs and adds a functionality of fold recognition to the environment. The design of the site simplifies several of the most useful bioinformatics routines, thus making them available to a large community of researchers. Services are provided free of charge without registration, and the user＇s privacy is taken care of.

The paper shows the development of Nb-bearing steels in China in 11th five-year period. The output of Nb-bearing steels was more than 40 million tons by the end of 2010 and FeNb consumption also increased greatly during 11th five-year period. Nb microalloyed technology is expanding to other application such as low C-high Nb technology, high C steels, forging steels.
