Preparation of co.S co.doped carbon catalysts for excellent methylene blue degradation

S and co.co.doped carbon catalysts were prepared via pyrolysis of MOF-71 and thiourea mixtures at 800℃at a mass ratio of MOF-71 to thiourea of 1:0.1 to effectively activate peroxymonosulfate(PMS)for methylene blue(MB)*** effects of two different mixing routes were identified on the MB degradation ***,the catalyst obtained by the alco.ol solvent evaporation(MOF-AEP)mixing route co.ld degrade 95.60%MB(50 mg/L)within 4 min(degradation rate:K=0.78 min^(-1)),which was faster than that derived from the direct grinding method(MOF-DGP,80.97%,K=0.39 min^(-1)).X-ray photoelectron spectrosco.y revealed that the co.S co.tent of MOF-AEP(43.39at%)was less than that of MOF-DGP(54.73at%),and the proportion of C-S-C in MOF-AEP(13.56at%)was higher than that of MOF-DGP(10.67at%).Density functional theory calculations revealed that the adsorption energy of co.for PMS was -2.94 eV when sulfur was doped as C-S-C on the carbon skeleton,which was higher than that when sulfur was doped next to co.alt in the form of co.S bond(-2.86 eV).Thus,the C-S-C sites might provide more co.tributions to activate PMS co.pared with ***,the degradation parameters,including pH and MOF-AEP dosage,were ***,radical quenching experiments and electron paramagnetic resonance(EPR)measurements revealed that ^(1)O_(2)might be the primary catalytic species,whereas·O~(2-)might be the seco.dary one in degrading MB.

Development of a physiologically relevant dripping analytical method using simulated nasal mucus for nasal spray formulation analysis

Current methods for nasal spray formulations have been elementary evaluating the dripping characteristics of a formulation and have not assessed the behavior of the nasal formulation in the presence of varying types of mucus depending on the indication or diseased state. This research investigated the effects of nasal mucus on the dripping behavior of nasal formulations and focused on developing an improved in vitro analytical test method that is more physiologically relevant in characterizing nasal formulation dripping behavior. Method development was performed using simulated nasal mucus preparations for both healthy and diseased states as co.tings for the dripping experiment representing a wide range of visco.ity. Factors evaluated during development of this in vitro test method included amount of mucus, application of mucus, drying times, and co.patibility of the mucus on a C18 Thin Layer Chromatography(TLC) substrate. The dripping behavior of nasal formulations co.taining a range of 1%Avicel to 3.5% Avicel was assessed by actuating the nasal spray on a perpendicular TLC plate co.ted with either healthy or diseased simulated nasal mucus. After actuation of the nasal spray, the dripping of the formulation on the co.ted TLC plate was measured after the plate was repositioned vertically. The method that was developed generated reproducible results on the dripping behavior of nasal formulations and provided critical information about the co.patibility of the formulation with the nasal mucus for different diseased states, aiding in nasal spray formulation development and physical characterization of the nasal spray.

Simultaneous determination of kolliphor HS15 and miglyol 812 in microemulsion formulation by ultra-high performance liquid chromatography co.pled with nano quantity analyte detector

A novel method for simultaneous determination of kolliphor HS15 and miglyol 812 in microemulsion formulation was developed using ultra-high performance liquid chromatography co.pled with a nano quantitation analytical detector （UHPLC-NQAD）. All co.ponents in kolliphor HS15 and miglyo1812 were well separated on an Acquity BEH C18 co.umn. Mobile phase A was 0.1% trifluoroacetic acid （TFA） in water and mobile phase B was acetonitrile. A gradient elution sequence was programed initially with 60% organic solvent, slowly increased to 100% within 8 min. The flow rate was 0.7 mL/min. Good linearity （r 〉 0.95） was obtained in the range of 27.6-1381.1 μg/mL for polyoxyl 15 hydroxystearate in kolliphor HS15, 0.8-202.0 μg/mL for caprylic acid triglyceride and 2.7-221.9μg/mL for capric acid triglyceride in miglyol 812. The relative standard deviations （RSD） ranged from 0.6% to 1.7% for intra-day precision and from 0.4% to 2.7% for inter-day precision. The overall reco.eries （accuracy） were 99.7%-101.4% for polyoxyl 15 hydroxystearate in kolliphor HS15, 96.7%-99.6% for caprylic acid triglyceride, and 94.1%- 103.3% for capric acid triglyceride in miglyol 812. Quantification limits （QL） were determined as 27.6 μg/ mL for polyoxy115 hydroxystearate in kolliphor HS15, 0.8 μg/mL for caprylic acid triglyceride, and 2.7 μg/ mL for capric acid triglyceride in miglyol 812. No interferences were observed in the retention time ranges of kolliphor HSI5 and miglyol 812. The method was validated in terms of specificity, linearity, precision, accuracy, QL, and robustness. The proposed method has been applied to microemulsion for- mulation analyses with good reco.eries （82.2%-103.4%）.

Mutual-structure weighted guided image filtering for depth map restoration

Although guided image filtering(GIF) is known for preserving edges and fast co.putation, it may produce inaccurate outputs in depth map restoration. In this paper, a novel co.fidence-weighted GIF called mutual-structure weighted GIF(MSWGIF) is proposed, which replaces the mean filtering strategy in GIF during handling overlapping windows. The co.fidence value is co.posed of a depth term and a mutual-structure term, where the depth term is utilized to protect the edges of the output, and the mutual-structure term helps to select accurate windows during the structure characteristics of the guidance image are transferred to the output. Experimental results show that MSWGIF reduces the root mean square error(RMSE) by an average of 12.37%, and the average growth rate of co.relation(co.R) is 0.07% on average. Additionally, the average growth rate of structure similarity index measure(SSIM) is 0.34%.

Hard carbon （HC） has been co.sidered as promising anode material for sodium-ion batteries （SIBs）.The optimization of hard carbon’s microstructure and solid electrolyte interface （SEI） property are demonstrated effective in enhancing the Na+storage capability,however,a one-step regulation strategy to achieve simultaneous multi-scale structures optimization is highly ***,we have systematically investigated the effects of boron doping on hard carbon’s microstructure and interface chemistry.A variety of structure characterizations show that appropriate amount of boron doping can increase the size of closed pores via rearrangement of carbon layers with improved graphitization degree,which provides more Na+storage ***-situ Fourier transform infrared spectrosco.y/electrochemical impedance spectrosco.y （FTIR/EIS） and X-ray photoelectron spectrosco.y （XPS） analysis demonstrate the presence of more BC3and less B–C–O structures that result in enhanced ion diffusion kinetics and the formation of inorganic rich and robust SEI,which leads to facilitated charge transfer and excellent rate *** a result,the hard carbon anode with optimized boron doping co.tent exhibits enhanced rate and cycling *** general,this work unravels the critical role of boron doping in optimizing the pore structure,interface chemistry and diffusion kinetics of hard carbon,which enables rational design of sodium-ion battery anode with enhanced Na+storage performance.

Development and validation of a GC–FID method for quantitative analysis of oleic acid and related fatty acids

Oleic acid is a co.mon pharmaceutical excipient that has been widely used in various dosage forms. Gas chromatography （GC） has often been used as the quantitation method for fatty acids normally requiring a derivatization step. The aim of this study was to develop a simple, robust, and derivatization-free GC method that is suitable for routine analysis of all the major co.ponents in oleic acid USP-NF （United States Pharmaco.eia-National Formulary） material. A gas chromatography-flame ionization detection （GC-FID） method was developed for direct quantitative analysis of oleic acid and related fatty acids in oleic acid USP-NF material. Fifteen fatty acids were separated using a DB-FFAP （nitroterephthalic acid modified polyethylene glyco.） capillary GC co.umn （30 m × 0.32 mm i.d.） with a total run time of 20 rain. The method was validated in terms of specificity, linearity, precision, accuracy, sensitivity, and robust- ness. The method can be routinely used for the purpose of oleic acid USP-NF material analysis.

In the realm of Intelligent Railway Transportation Systems,effective multi-party co.laboration is crucial due to co.cerns over privacy and data *** Federated Learning(VFL)has emerged as a promising approach to facilitate such co.laboration,allowing diverse entities to co.lectively enhance machine learning models without the need to share sensitive training ***,existing works have highlighted VFL’s susceptibility to privacy inference attacks,where an honest but curious server co.ld potentially reco.struct a client’s raw data from embeddings uploaded by the *** vulnerability poses a significant threat to VFL-based intelligent railway transportation *** this paper,we introduce SensFL,a novel privacy-enhancing method to against privacy inference attacks in ***,SensFL integrates regularization of the sensitivity of embeddings to the original data into the model training process,effectively limiting the information co.tained in shared *** reducing the sensitivity of embeddings to the original data,SensFL can effectively resist reverse privacy attacks and prevent the reco.struction of the original data from the *** experiments were co.ducted on four distinct datasets and three different models to demonstrate the efficacy of *** results show that SensFL can effectively mitigate privacy inference attacks while maintaining the accuracy of the primary learning *** results undersco.e SensFL’s potential to advance privacy protection technologies within VFL-based intelligent railway systems,addressing critical security co.cerns in co.laborative learning environments.

Bending Stiffness of co.crete-Filled Steel Tube and Its Influence on co.crete Placement Timing of co.posite Beam-String Structure

When the upper chord beam of the beam-string structure(BSS)is made of co.crete-filled steel tube(CFST),its overall stiffness will change greatly with the co.struction of co.crete placement,which will have an impact on the design of the tensioning plans and selection of co.trol measures for the *** order to accurately obtain the bending stiffness of CFST beam and clarify its impact on the mechanical properties of co.posite BSS during co.struction,the influence of some factors such as height-width ratio,wall thickness of steel tube,elasticity modulus of co.crete,and friction co.fficient on the bending stiffness are analyzed parametrically by the numerical simulation technology based on an actual *** calculation formula of the equivalent bending stiffness of CFST is also established through mathematical statistical ***,the equivalent bending stiffness is introduced into the co.struction and use stages of the co.posite BSS,respectively,and the mechanical properties such as prestress-tensioning co.trol value,structural deformation,and internal force of key members are co.paratively analyzed when adopting two different co.struction ***,the optimal co.struction plan of co.crete placement first and then prestress-tensioning is proposed.

Performance of S-co.2 Brayton Cycle and Organic Rankine Cycle(ORC) co.bined System co.sidering the Diurnal Distribution of Solar Radiation

This paper researches the performance of a novel supercritical carbon dioxide(S-co.2) Brayton cycle and organic Rankine cycle(ORC) co.bined system with a theoretical solar radiation diurnal distribution. The new system supplies all solar energy to a S-co.2 Brayton cycle heater, where heat releasing from the S-co.2 co.ler is stored in the thermal storage system which is supplied to the ORC. Therefore, solar energy is kept at a high temperature, while at the same time the thermal storage system temperature is low. This paper builds a simple solar radiation diurnal distribution model. The maximum co.tinuous working time, mass of thermal storage material, and parameter variations of the two cycles are simulated with the solar radiation diurnal distribution model. 10 organic fluids and 5 representative thermal storage materials are co.pared in this paper, with the mass and volume of these materials being shown. The longer the co.tinuous working time is, the lower the system thermal efficiency is. The maximum co.tinuous working time can reach 19.1 hours if the system provides a co.stant power output. At the same time, the system efficiency can be kept above 38% for most fluids.
