The article takes a simply supported prestressed concrete small box girder bridge project as an example for inspection and evaluation after a fire *** includes appearance detection,concrete color hardness detection,concrete strength detection,concrete surface damage layer detection,reinforcement protective layer detection,and concrete carbonation *** is hoped that this analysis can be used as a reference for the detection and evaluation of future bridge projects with fire incidents to smoothen its subsequent repair and maintenance.

This article analyzes the differential settlement of new and old roadbeds after widening and its characteristics based on a highway reconstruction and expansion project case *** research proposes a subgrade settlement control standard that states that the maximum differential settlement value should be less than 5 cm when the embankment fill height exceeds 20 ***,the maximum differential settlement value should be less than 10 cm when the embankment fill height does not exceed 20 *** findings of the study can provide a useful reference for the design of roadbed widening in highway reconstruction and expansion projects.

In this paper,the geological condition of the right-side slope of the K114+694–K115+162 section of Yong-tai-wen Expressway is investigated and analyzed with the results showing that the strength of rock mass is the main contributor to the stability of the ***,two widening schemes are proposed,which are the steep slope with strong support and the gentle slope with general support *** static/slope module of MIDAS GTS finite element analysis software and the strength reduction method were used to compare the two *** results show that the steep slope with a strong support scheme has obvious advantages in land requisition,environmental protection,and safety and is more suitable for reconstructing and expanding the highway slope.

Experimental Study on Fatigue Performance of Gussasphalt Mixture

Four-point flexural fatigue test for Gussasphalt mixture specimen was carried out at a straincontrolled mode system. The results showed that the development of the tested stiffness modulus and phase angle of the mixtures with increasing load cycles exhibited three periods, initial generation, slow development and failure period. The fatigue crack generation zone formed in the third period, in which the macro mechanical properties were signifi cantly decreased. Moreover, we also analyzed the effects of asphalt content and mixing temperature on the fatigue life of the mixture. The results showed that the fi rst period when the specimen＇s initial stiffness modulus was reduced to 80% accounted for 5%-10% of the total fatigue life; the second period in which the reduction became slow and demonstrated a liner relationship with load cycles occupied 70%-85% of the fatigue life; and the third period was about 5%-10%. The results indicated that the lower the mixing temperature, the longer the fatigue life of Gussasphalt mixture. Besides, the increasing of asphalt content has a minor effect on the fatigue life of Gussasphalt mixture

Automated classification and detection of multiple pavement distress images based on deep learning

To achieve automatic,fast,efficient and high-precision pavement distress classification and detection,road surface distress image classification and detection models based on deep learning are ***,a pavement distress image dataset is built,including 9017pictures with distress,and 9620 pictures without *** pictures were captured from 4 asphalt highways of 3 provinces in *** each pavement distress image,there exists one or more types of distress,including alligator crack,longitudinal crack,block crack,transverse crack,pothole and *** distresses are labeled by a rectangle bounding box on the *** ResNet networks and VGG networks are used respectively as binary classification models for distressed and non-distressed imagines classification,and as multi-label classification models for six types of distress *** techniques,such as data augmentation,batch normalization,dropout,momentum,weight decay,transfer learning,and discriminative learning rate are used in training the *** the 4 CNNs considered in this study,namely ResNet 34 and 50,and VGG 16 and 19,for the binary classification,ResNet 50 has the highest Accuracy of 96.243%,Precision of 95.183%,and ResNet 34 has the highest Recall of 97.824%,and F2 score of 97.052%.For multi-label classification,ResNet 50 has the best performance,with the highest Accuracy of 90.257%,higher than 90%required by the Chinese standard(JTG H20-2018)for road distresses detection,F2 score-82.231%,and Precision-76.509%,and ResNet34 has the highest Recall of 87.32%.To locate and quantify the distress areas in the images,the single shot multibox detector(SSD)model is developed,in which the ResNet 50 is used as the base network to extract *** the intersection over union(IoU)is set to 0,0.25,0.50,0.75,the mean average precision(mAP)of the model are found to be 74.881%,50.511%,28.432%,3.969%,respectively.
