Influence of ecological function protection zone on the water conservation in Gansu-Qinghai Contiguous Region of the upper Yellow River

The implementation of Ecological Function Protection Zone(EFPZ)policy is significant for the ecological restoration and conservation of soil and water in the territory *** manuscript analyzed and quantified the impact of EFPZ on the regional water conservation function,based on land use data from 2005,2008,2010,2015 and 2020,by conducting a counterfactual simulation along with the GeoSOS-FLUS model and the InVEST *** results demonstrate that the delineation of EFPZ can significantly influence the water conservation.(1)From 2010 to 2020,as the EFPZ was implemented,the water conservation in the study area was increasing year by year,with a growth rate of 0.03×10^(8) m^(3)∙a^(-1).On the other hand,the simulated water conservation capacity without the implementation of EFPZ decreased year by year,with a decrease rate of 0.01×10^(8) m^(3)∙a^(-1).(2)The EFPZ accounts for only 23%of the total area,but the contribution rate of water conservation reaches 80%.The actual values of water conservation and average water yield per unit pixel in the EFPZ show an increasing trend both internally and externally,while the counterfactual simulation values exhibit a decreasing trend.(3)The water conservation is much higher within the EFPZ than without *** implementation of EFPZ has a significant effect on the improvement of the water conservation capacity in Maqu EFPZ and Yellow River Source *** protection effectiveness should be enhanced in Qilian Mountain EFPZ and afforestation activities need to be carefully considered in Loess Plateau EFPZ.

Inspired by biological visual systems, optoelectronic synapses with image perception, memory retention, and preprocessing capabilities offer a promising pathway for developing high-performance artificial perceptual vision computing systems. Among these, oxide-based optoelectronic synaptic transistors are wellknown for their enduring photoconductive properties and ease of integration, which hold substantial potential in this regard. In this study, we utilized indium gallium zinc oxide as a semiconductor layer and high-k ZrAlOx as a gate dielectric layer to engineer low-power high-performance synaptic transistors with photonic *** biological synaptic functions, including excitatory postsynaptic currents, paired-pulse facilitation,and the transition from short-term to long-term plasticity, were replicated via optical pulse *** simulation was sustained even at an operating voltage as low as 0.0001 V, exhibiting a conspicuous photonic synaptic response with energy consumption as low as 0.0845 fJ per synaptic event. Furthermore,an optoelectronic synaptic device was employed to model “learn-forget-relearn” behavior similar to that exhibited by the human brain, as well as Morse code encoding. Finally, a 3×3 device array was constructed to demonstrate its advantages in image recognition and storage. This study provides an effective strategy for developing readily integrable, ultralow-power optoelectronic synapses with substantial potential in the domains of morphological visual systems, biomimetic robotics, and artificial intelligence.

In this editorial,we provide commentary on the study by Gong et *** this original research article,Gong et al employed a bioinformatics approach to investigate the involvement of autophagy in active ulcerative colitis(UC).Through differential gene expression analysis,they identified 58 differentially expressed autophagy-related genes in UC patients compared to healthy ***,HSPA5,CASP1,SERPINA1,CX3CL1,and BAG3,were found to be upregulated in active UC patients,suggesting their significance as core autophagyrelated *** analysis unveiled associations with crucial signaling pathways and diseases such as middle cerebral artery occlusion and ***,immune cell infiltration analysis revealed notable differences in immune cell composition between UC patients and healthy *** findings offer valuable insights into the role of autophagy in UC pathogenesis and potential therapeutic targets.

Objective Brain metastases significantly impact the clinical course of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).This study aimed to examine the age-related incidence,demographics,and survival of patients with HCC and brain *** Data of HCC patients from 2010 to 2015 in the Surveillance,Epidemiology,and End Results(SEER)Registry were screened for the presence of brain *** were stratified by age and *** logistic and Cox regression analyses were used to identify factors associated with brain metastases and those with overall survival(OS)and liver cancer-specific survival(CSS),*** A total of 141 HCC patients presenting with brain metastases were identified,accounting for 0.35% of all HCC patients and 2.37% of patients with metastatic *** all HCC patients,the incidence rate was the highest among patients aged 30-49 years old(0.47%).Ethnicity was not associated with the presence of brain metastases at the time of HCC ***,African-American patients presented with a significantly lower disease-specific survival[median time:1 month;interquartile range(IQR):0-3.0 months].Initial lung or bone metastasis was independently associated with an increased risk of the presence of brain metastases[odds ratio(OR):12.62,95% confidence interval(CI):8.40-18.97]but was not associated with a worse OS or CSS among those with brain *** This study identified the age-related incidence and risk factors of brain metastases in HCC *** results may contribute to the consideration of brain screening among patients with initial metastatic HCC with lung or bone metastases,and influence the counseling of this patient population regarding their prognosis.

This paper proposes a Markov decision process based service migration algorithm to satisfy quality of service(Qo S) requirements when the terminals leave the original server. Services were divided into real-time services and non-real-time services, each type of them has different requirements on transmission bandwidth and latency,which were considered in the revenue function. Different values were assigned to the weight coefficients of QoS parameters for different service types in the revenue and cost functions so as to distinguish the differences between the two service types. The overall revenue was used for migration decisions, rather than fixed threshold or instant revenue. The Markov decision process was used to maximize the overall revenue of the system. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm obtained more revenue compared with the existing works.

Ovarian follicle development is associated with the physiological functions of granulosa cells(GCs),including proliferation and *** level of miR-24-3p in ovarian tissue of high-yielding Yorkshire×Landrace sows was significantly higher than that of low-yielding ***,the functions of miR-24-3p on GCs are *** this study,using flow cytometry,5-ethynyl-2′-de-oxyuridine(EdU)staining,and cell count,we showed that miR-24-3p promoted the proliferation of GCs increasing the proportion of cells in the S phase and upregulating the expression of cell cycle genes,moreover,miR-24-3p inhibited GC ***,on-line prediction,bioinformatics analysis,a luciferase reporter assay,RT-qPCR,and Western blot results showed that the target gene of miR-24-3p in proliferation and apoptosis is cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor 1B(P27/CDKN1B).Furthermore,the effect of miR-24-3p on GC proliferation and apoptosis was attenuated by P27 *** findings suggest that miR-24-3p regulates the physiological functions of GCs.

Three lanthanide ions and a rigid(1,1'-biphenyl)-2,4,6-tricarboxylic acid(H_(3)bptc) ligand led to the isostructural lanthanide metal-organic frameworks(Ln-MOFs) {[Ln(bptc)(H_(2)O)_(3)]·3H_(2)O}_n(Lnbptc, Ln = Eu,Tb, Gd, Eu_(x)Tb_(1—x), Eu_(x)Gd_(1-x), Tb_(x)Gd_(1-x), and Eu_(0.12)Tb_(0.52)Gd_(0.36)). The density functional theory(DFT) and time-dependent DFT calculation were expanded on H_3bptc, which point to the occurrence of “antenna effect”. The minor diameter samples of Eubptc, Tbbptc, and Gdbptc can also be attained via the microwave synthesis and employed for handwriting anticounterfeiting. Interestingly, the typical red emission of Eu^(3+) and green emission of Tb~(3+) could be fine-tuned by Gd^(3+) via chemical mixing to be full-color emissions bimetallic doped Eu_(x)Tb_(1-x)bptc, Eu_(x)Gd_(1-x)bptc, and Tb_(x)Gd_(1-x)bptc. The above synthetic bimetallic MOFs can be fixed in positioning boxes of quick response(QR) codes with diverse emission for anticounterfeiting. The message can be decoded under the irradiation of 365 nm ultraviolet lamp while invisible in the daylight. Notably, the trimetallic doped Eu_(0.12)Tb_(0.52)Gd_(0.36)bptc emits white light with the CIE color coordinate(0.34, 0.34). Furthermore, Tbbptc is demonstrated to be a sensitive probe toward nitrobenzene and acetone with multiple mechanisms.
