Persistent inflammatory responses often occur when bacteria and other microorganisms frequently invade and colonize open wounds and eventually result in the formation of chronic ***,achieving real-time detection of invasive bacteria accurately and promptly is essential for efficient wound management and accelerat-ing the healing ***,flexible wearable sensors have garnered significant attention,especially those designed for monitoring real-time biophysical or biochemical signals in wound sites in a minimally invasive *** provide more precise and continuous monitoring data,making them as emerging tools for clinical *** this review,we first discuss the species and community distribution of different types of bacteria in chronic ***,we introduce currently developed techniques for detecting bacteria at wound ***-lowing that,we discuss the recent progress and unresolved issues of various flexible wearable sensors in detecting bacteria at wound *** believe that this review can provide meaningful guidance for the development of flexible wearable sensors for bacteria detection.

Background Sepsis is a severe and potentially life-threatening condition characterized by a dysregulated host response and organ *** causal relationship between intestinal microbiota and sepsis is *** A two-sample Mendelian randomization(MR)study was performed to proxy the causal association between gut microbiota and *** genome-wide association study(GWAS)data of sepsis and gut microbiome were collected from the Integrative Epidemiology unit(IEU)OpenGWAS,with summary-level data obtained from the UK *** traditional methods were used to estimate the potential causal relationships between gut microbiota and sepsis,including the inverse-variance weighted method,weighted median method,MR-Egger regression,simple mode,and weighted *** MR analysis was performed on the bacteria that were found to be causally associated with sepsis in forward MR ***'s Q statistic was used to quantify the heterogeneity of instrumental *** The inverse-variance weighted estimate suggested that class Lentisphaeria(odds ratio[OR]=0.86,95%confidence interval[CI]:0.78 to 0.94,P=0.0017,q=0.1596)and order Victivallales(OR=0.86,95%CI:0.78 to 0.94,P=0.0017,q=0.1596)have a protective effect on *** genus Eubacterium eligens group(OR=1.34,95%CI:1.11 to 1.63,P=0.0029,q=0.1881)was positively associated with the risk of *** may be a significant risk factor for genus Odoribacter(OR=1.18,95%CI:1.10 to 1.39,P=0.0415,q=0.9849)and Phascolarctobacterium(OR=1.21,95%CI:1.00 to 1.46,P=0.0471,q=0.9849),but this effect was not statistically significant after false discovery rate *** was a suggestive association between sepsis and Faecalibacterium(OR=0.85,95%CI:0.73 to 0.98,P=0.0278)and Ruminococcus 1(OR=0.85,95%CI:0.73 to 1.00,P=0.0439),which were not significant after false discovery rate correction(q>0.2).Conclusions This study found that class Lentisphaeria,order Victivallales,and genus Eubacterium eligens group

Dendritic cell(DC)-targeted delivery of mRNA is a prominent method to boost the efficacy of mRNA tumor *** targeting ligands are often modified on nanocarriers by polyethylene glycol(PEG)linker in mRNA delivery *** the PEG linker length influences the targeting delivery efficiency of mRNA nanocarrier in vivo remains ***,we designed and constructed DC-targeted mRNA delivery systems modified by mannose via different PEG linker lengths(100/400/1000/2000)(MPn-LPX).The top candidate MP_(400)-LPX(the linker was PEG400)showed the optimal mRNA expression and antigen presentation owing to the highly efficient uptake by ***,MP_(400)-LPX could better inhibited tumor growth and extended survival in the E.G7-OVA lymphoma and TC-1 cervical tumor mouse ***,these results demonstrated that PEG400 was the optimal linker for the PEGylated DC-targeted mRNA *** findings provided a new platform for the rational design of targeted mRNA nanovaccines with shorter-length PEG.

F-2 toxin is an estrogenic mycotoxin that causes reproductive disorders in *** acid(BA)is a natural pentacyclic lupane-structure triterpenoid that has diverse pharmacological *** this study,the antioxidative and anti-inflammatory effects of BA and its underlying mechanism are explored in F-2 toxin-triggered mouse ovarian *** found that BA alleviated the F-2 toxin-induced ovarian impairment by stimulating follicle growth,reducing inflammatory cell infiltration,repairing damaged mitochondria and endoplasmic ***,BA not only reversed F-2 toxin-induced reduction of follicle stimulating hormone(FSH)and luteinizing hormone(LH)levels in the serum,but also restrained the protein expression of the estrogen receptors a(ERa)and ERβ.Moreover,BA restored the balance of F-2 toxin-induced ovarian redox system ***,we found that 0.25 mg/kg BA played an anti-inflammatory role in the F-2 toxin-induced ovarian impairment by decreasing interleukin-1β(IL-1β).IL-6,and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)mRNA expression,as well as inhibiting p38 protein *** data demonstrated that BA exerts its protective effect on F-2 toxin-induced ovarian oxidative impairment and inflammation by inhibiting p38 expression,which implies a natural product-based medicine to ameliorate F-2 toxin-caused female reproductive toxicity and provides a detoxifying method for food contaminated by mycotoxin.

Sleep posture surveillance is crucial for patient comfort,yet current systems face difficulties in providing compre-hensive studies due to the obstruction caused by *** posture assessment remains challenging because of the complex nature of the human body and variations in sleep ***,this study introduces an innovative method utilizing RGB and thermal cameras for comprehensive posture classification,thereby enhancing the analysis of body position and *** method begins by capturing a dataset of sleep postures in the form of videos using RGB and thermal cameras,which depict six commonly adopted postures:supine,left log,right log,prone head,prone left,and prone *** study involves 10 participants under two conditions:with and without ***,the database is normalized into a video *** subsequent step entails training a fine-tuned,pretrained Visual Geometry Group(VGG16)and ResNet50 *** the third phase,the extracted features are utilized for *** fourth step of the proposed approach employs a serial fusion technique based on the normal distribution to merge the vectors derived from both the RGB and thermal ***,the fused vectors are passed to machine learning classifiers for final *** dataset,which includes human sleep postures used in this study’s experiments,achieved a 96.7%accuracy rate using the Quadratic Support Vector Machine(QSVM)without the ***,the Linear SVM,when utilized with a blanket,attained an accuracy of 96%.When normal distribution serial fusion was applied to the blanket features,it resulted in a remarkable average accuracy of 99%.

Social determinants of health(SDOH)affect quality of *** investigated SDOH impacts on self-perceived resilience among people with adult congenital heart disease(ACHD).Secondary analysis of data from two com-plementary studies:a survey study conducted May 2021–June 2022 and a qualitative study conducted June 2020–August *** was assessed through CD-RISC10 score(range 0–40,higher scores reﬂect greater self-perceived resilience)and interview *** and SDOH(education,employment,living situa-tion,monetary stability,ﬁnancial dependency,area deprivation index)data were collected by healthcare record review and *** used linear regression with robust standard errors to analyze survey data and performed a thematic analysis of interview *** participants(N=127)mean age was 42±14 years;51%were female,87%*** was moderate(75%)or complex(25%);41%functional class C or ***(mean 30±7)varied by monetary stability:compared to people with difﬁculty paying bills,resilience was 15.0 points higher(95%CI:6.9–23.1,pcare access and *** stability may be important for supporting self-perceived resi-lience in *** knowledge can inform the development of resilience interventions for this population.
