Interfacial Zn2+-solvation regulator towards reversible and stable Zn anode

Aqueous zinc-ion batteries （AZIBs） are fundamentally challenged by the instability of the electrode/electrolyte interface,predominantly due to irreversible zinc （Zn） deposition and hydrogen ***,the intricate mechanisms behind the electrochemical discrepancies induced by interfacial Zn2+-solvation and deposition behavior demand comprehensive *** molecules endowed with special functional groups （such as hydroxyl,carboxyl,etc.） have the potential to significantly optimize the solvation structure of Zn2+and regulate the interfacial electric double layer （EDL）.By increasing nucleation overpotential and decreasing interfacial free energy,these functional groups facilitate a lower critical nucleation radius,thereby forming an asymptotic nucleation model to promote uniform Zn ***,this study presents a pioneering approach by introducing trace amounts of n-butanol as solvation regulators to engineer the homogenized Zn （H-Zn） anode with a uniform and dense *** interfacial reaction and structure evolution are explored by in/ex-situ experimental techniques,indicating that the H-Zn anode exhibits dendrite-free growth,no by-products,and weak hydrogen evolution,in sharp contrast to the bare ***,the H-Zn anode achieves a remarkable Zn utilization rate of approximately 20% and simultaneously sustains a prolonged cycle life exceeding 500 ***,the H-Zn//NH4V4O10（NVO） full battery showcases exceptional cycle stability,retaining 95.04%capacity retention after 400 cycles at a large current density of 5 A *** study enlightens solvation-regulated additives to develop Zn anode with superior utilization efficiency and extended operational lifespan.

Merging bound states in the continuum in an open acoustic resonator

Bound states in the continuum （BICs） are perfectly localized resonances despite embedding in the continuum ***,an isolated BIC is very sensitive to the structure ***,we report merging acoustic BICs in a single open resonator,robust against the structure *** find that both symmetry-protected BIC and Friedrich-Wintgen BIC are sustained in a single coupled waveguide-resonator *** varying the height and length of the resonator,these two BICs move toward each other and merge into a single one at a critical *** to an individual BIC,the merged BIC is robust against fabrication error because its Q-factor is proportional to ΔL-4,whereΔL embodies the structure *** essence of this extraordinary phenomenon is perfectly explained by the two-and three-level approximations of the effective nonHermitian ***,we present direct experimental demonstrations of the moving and merging of BICs in a coupled 3D waveguide-resonator,which are evidenced by the vanishing of the linewidth of Fano resonance in the transmission *** results may find exciting applications in designing high-quality acoustic sources,sensors and filters.

In this work,utilizing the first law of thermodynamics and the Flory mean-field theory,the kinetic deformation studies concerning the volume phase transition of the neutral thermo-sensitive hydrogels were performed *** hydrogel was assumed as a biphasic mixture medium in the framework of the continuum mixture *** the energy conservation of the thermodynamics system of the hydrogel,the governing equations for the kinetics of the nonlinear large deforma-tion were *** explicit analytical expressions of the effective stress tensor and the chemical potential of the fluid of the thermo-sensitive hydrogel PNIPA were also obtained from the Helmholtz free energy,which can model the steady-static volume phase transition quantitatively.

High damage threshold HfO_2/SiO_2 multilayer mirrors deposited by novel remote plasma sputtering

Sputtering deposition coatings offer significant advantages on electron beam (EB) deposition, including high packing density, environmental stability and extremely low losses. But the inherent high compressive stress affects its application in high power laser system. This paper describes the technical feasibility of high damage threshold laser mirrors deposited by a novel remote plasma sputtering technique. This technique is based on generating intensive plasma remotely from the target and then magnetically steering the plasma to the target to realize the full uniform sputtering. The pseudo-independence between target voltage and target current provides us very flexible parameters tuning, especially for the films stress control. Deposition conditions are optimized to yield fully oxidized and low compressive stress single layer HfO2 and SiO2. The high damage threshold of 43.8 J/cm2 for HfO2/ SiO2 laser mirrors at 1064 nm is obtained. For the first time the remote plasma sputtering is successfully applied in depositing laser mirrors with high performance.

A quantum integral spectral enhancement method for Xray imaging

In order to avoid the effect of photon defect on the imaging during X-ray generation,an imaging integral filter based on quantum enhancement was proposed in this paper to effectively reduce the sensitivity of X-ray detection system for quantum ***,the coupling constraint at the end of the image intensifier was analyzed by discussing the X-ray imaging *** effects of quantum thermal noise and defects on spectrum transfer were studied from the micro *** the effectiveness of the new integral filter method was verified from the view of the integral effect of fundamental space frequency transfer characteristics in Fourier ***,the superior ity and real-time performance of the quantum enhancement filter method were verified by the comparison filter testing.

How to establish a self‐equilibrium configuration is vital for further kinematics and dynamics analyses of tensegrity *** this study,for investigating tensegrity form‐finding problems,a concise and efficient dynamic relaxation‐noise tolerant zeroing neural network(DR‐NTZNN)form‐finding algorithm is established through analysing the physical properties of tensegrity *** addition,the non‐linear constrained opti-misation problem which transformed from the form‐finding problem is solved by a sequential quadratic programming ***,the noise may produce in the form‐finding process that includes the round‐off errors which are brought by the approximate matrix and restart point calculating course,disturbance caused by external force and manufacturing error when constructing a tensegrity ***,for the purpose of suppressing the noise,a noise tolerant zeroing neural network is presented to solve the search direction,which can endow the anti‐noise capability to the form‐finding model and enhance the calculation ***,the dynamic relaxation method is contributed to seek the nodal coordinates rapidly when the search direction is *** numerical results show the form‐finding model has a huge capability for high‐dimensional free form cable‐strut mechanisms with complicated ***,comparing with other existing form‐finding methods,the contrast simulations reveal the excellent anti‐noise performance and calculation capacity of DR‐NTZNN form‐finding algorithm.

Enhancement of red to orange emission ratio of YPO_4:Eu^(3+),Ce^(3+) and its dependence on Ce^(3+) concentration

Eu3＋ and Ce3＋ co-doped YPO4 microspheres were synthesized by hydrothermal method without template. The emission spectra showed that the red emission centered at 618nm could be readily increased relatively to the orange emission centered at 590nm by controlling the doping concentration of Ce3＋ ion. The investigation based on excitation spectra and decay curves demonstrated that the doped Ce3＋ ions took two efficient energy transfers to Eu3＋ ions and affected the lifetime of the emission states of Eu3＋ ions so that the emission spectra of Eu3＋ ion were accordingly tuned with the Ce3＋ content increasing. This controllable red （5D0→7F2） to orange （ 5D0→7F1） emission ratio of YPO4：Eu3＋,Ce3＋ made it very promising for encoded anti-fake labels and bio-labels.

Generation of mode‑locked states of conventional solitons and bright‑dark solitons in graphene mode‑locked fber laser

This paper proposes a mode-locked fber laser based on graphene-coated *** total length of the fber laser resonant cavity is 31.34 *** the condition of stable output of bright-dark soliton pairs from the fber laser,dual-wavelength tuning is realized by adjusting the polarization controller(PC),and the wavelength tuning range is 11 ***,the efects of polarization states on bright-dark solitons are *** is demonstrated that the mode-locking state can be switched between conventional solitons and bright-dark solitons in the graphene mode-locked fber ***-dark soliton pairs with diferent shapes and nanosecond pulse width can be obtained by adjusting the PC and pump power.

Noise Reduction for Images with Non-uniform Noise Using Adaptive Block Matching 3D Filtering

Noise reduction is a very important topic in image processing. We propose a new method to deal with the case where the noisy image has different noise levels in different regions. The main idea is to segment automatically the noisy image into several sub-images so that each sub-image has approximately the same noise level. We perform Block matching 3D filtering(BM3D) to these subimages in order to obtain denoised sub-images. We then merge sub-images together and enhance the discontinuous regions between the sub-images by performing BM3D again on small image patches. Our experimental results show the effectiveness of this proposed method in terms of Peak signal to noise ratio(PSNR) when compared with the bivariate wavelet shrinkage and the standard BM3D method. In addition to Gaussian white noise, our method performs better than the bivariate wavelet shrinkage and the standard BM3D method even for signal dependent noise.
