The aim of the study was to assess feeding practices and the use of lysine and methionine in pig rationing on intensified and semi-intensive pig breeding in the Koudougou and Bobo-Dioulasso areas. To this end, a cross-sectional survey was carried out on 87 breeding in these towns. A Discriminant factorial Analysis (DfA) confirming a k-means classification of the data collected was used to retain 71 breeding divided into three breeding classes: Class A (32.4% of breeding), Class B (14.08%) and Class C (53.52%). The results show that the majority of pig breeders were men between the ages of 36 and 59. Average herd sizes were 35 ± 28;79 ± 42 and 89 ± 21 pigs for Classes A, B and C respectively. The main breeds of pig found on the breeding were crossbred, Large white, local, Landrace and Duroc. Class A (26.1%), B (30%) and C (15.8%) breeders were familiar with both lysine and methionine. Class A breeders distributed feed staggered (65.2%) and in rations (34.8%). Lysine (13%) and methionine (8.7%) were purchased at 5250 fCfA/kg. Those in class B distributed feed staggered (50%) and in the form of rations (50%), in which they incorporated lysine (30%) and methionine (30%) purchased at a cost of 2500 fCfA/kg and 3000 fCfA/kg respectively. Rationing and staggered feeding were practiced by 23.7% and 76.3% of Class C breeders respectively. Only lysine purchased at 3400 fCfA/kg was incorporated into rations by 10.5% of breeders. The high cost of lysine and methionine was incriminated by Class A (100%), B (33.3%) and C (50%) breeders. In conclusion, intensive pig breeding, the practice of rationing and the incorporation of the amino acids lysine and methionine are of ascending importance from classes C, A to B. The high cost of feedstuffs, particularly lysine and methionine, compromises their use in rations, which could have a negative impact on expected breeding performance. Rolling texture development in a dual-phase Mg-Li alloy:The role of temperature

Dual-phase Mg-Li alloys sheets were rolled at four different temperatures ranging from liquid nitrogen to 300℃to explore effect of rolling temperature on texture and mechanical properties of the material.Crystal plasticity simulation was utilized to illustrate the influence of slip activity on rolling texture development.The results show that the rolling texture is largely depended on deformation temperature.Unlike commercial Mg alloys,the critical resolved shear stress of basal slip inα-Mg phase of Mg-Li alloy decreased more significantly by increasing temperature compared to that of pyramidalslip.Enhancement of basal slip by increasing temperature triggered a decrease of split angle of basal poles for the double-peak texture.Prismaticslip largely enhanced by increasing temperature upon 200℃,which induced a wider orientation spread along the transverse direction.for theβ-Li phase,the promotion of{110}slip system at elevated temperature triggered the enhancement of{211}and{111}texture components.The cryo-rolled sample exhibited the highest strength compared to the others due to a strong hardening behavior at this temperature.A two-stage hardening behavior was observed in these as-rolled dual-phase alloys.Strain transition at phase boundaries could be the reason for appearance of this two-stage hardening.

Starting from sissotrin (1), a natural isoflavonoid isolated from Trifolium baccarinii (fabaceae), one new semisynthetic derivative, 6-nitrobiochanin A (1b) and two known derivatives, 8-nitrobiochanin A (1a) and 2",3",4",6"-tetraacetylsissotrin (1c) have been obtained after performing nitration and acetylation reactions. Their structures were assigned after interpretation of their spectrometric (HR-ESI-MS) and spectroscopic (NMR 1D and 2D) data and by comparison with those reported in the literature. The substrate as well as the semisynthetic derivatives were evaluated for their antibacterial activities against six strains. The results reveal that they are inactive or weakly active on the strains tested with the exception of 8-nitrobiochanin A (1a) which showed moderate activity (MIC = 62.5 μg∙mL−1) on Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 43300.

Introduction: Microbiology of effusion fluids in children in Burkina faso is characterized by the scarcity of data. This work aimed to study the bacteriological and antibiotics susceptibility profile of bacteria involved in effusion fluid infections in paediatrics in order to improve the choice of probabilistic antibiotics therapy. Methods: A cross-sectional, descriptive study was used in children aged 0 to 15 years from 2017 to 2020 at the Charles De Gaulle Pediatric University Hospital Center (CHUP-CDG) in Ouagadougou. Classical bacteriology methods such as macroscopy, Gram staining, identification galleries and antibiotics susceptibility testing were used. Results: Of 231 samples, 64 bacteria were isolated. The most common bacterial strains of pleural fluid were Staphylococcus aureus (25%) and 40% for Enterobacteriaceae. Of the peritoneal fluid, 77% were Enterobacteriaceae with 57% Escherichia coli;and from joint fluid, 33% were S. aureus and 22% for P. aeruginosa. The overall susceptibility profile showed 29% extended-spectrum beta-lactamase-producing Enterobacteriaceae (ESBL), 10% methicillin-resistant S. aureus (MRSA), and 8% carbapenemases. Conclusion: Bacteriological profile is characterized by ESBL-producing Enterobacteriaceae and MRSA. The most active antibiotics were macrolides, aminoglycosides, and cefoxitin (methicillin) for Gram-positive cocci, carbapenems, and aminoglycosides for Gram-negative bacilli. Then, the monitoring of antibiotics resistance must be permanent.

The huge atomic heterogeneity of high-entropy materials along with a possibility to unravel the behavior of individual components at the atomic scale suggests a great promise in designing new compositionally complex systems with the desired multifunctionality.Herein,we apply multi-edge X-ray absorption spectroscopy(extended X-ray absorption fine structure(EXAfS),Xray absorption near edge structure(XANES),and X-ray magnetic circular dichroism(XMCD))to probe the structural,electronic,and magnetic properties of all individual constituents in the single-phase face-centered cubic(fcc)-structured nanocrystalline thin film of Cr_(20)Mn_(26)fe_(18)Co_(19)Ni_(17)(at.%)high-entropy alloy on the local scale.The local crystallographic ordering and componentdependent lattice displacements were explored within the reverse Monte Carlo approach applied to EXAfS spectra collected at the K absorption edges of several constituents at room temperature.A homogeneous short-range fcc atomic environment around the absorbers of each type with very similar statistically averaged interatomic distances(2.54-2.55Å)to their nearest-neighbors and enlarged structural relaxations of Cr atoms were revealed.XANES and XMCD spectra collected at the L2,3 absorption edges of all principal components at low temperature from the oxidized and in situ cleaned surfaces were used to probe the oxidation states,the changes in the electronic structure,and magnetic behavior of all constituents at the surface and in the sub-surface volume of the film.The spin and orbital magnetic moments of fe,Co,and Ni components were quantitatively evaluated.The presence of magnetic phase transitions and the co-existence of different magnetic phases were uncovered by conventional magnetometry in a broad temperature range.

Petrology and Structural Characterization of Post-Neoproterozoic Dolerites from the Kimberlite fields in the Kéniéba Region (Western Mali)

Post-Neoproterozoic dolerites from the Kéniéba region (Western Mali) are often associated with kimberlites. The rarity of kimberlite outcrops led to the study of doleritic rocks, spatially associated with them. The petrographic and lithogeochemical study showed that the dolerites of the Kéniéba kimberlitic fields are of tholeiitic nature and of the E-MORB (Enriched-Mid Ocean Ridge Basalt) type. This reflects an enrichment over time, compared to the Birimian dolerites of the volcano-sedimentary greenstone belt of Toumodi, in central C?te d’Ivoire. furthermore, these dolerites are enriched in SiO2, TiO2, Zr and poor in fe2O3, MgO. These dolerites would have formed in a late to post-orogenic intracontinental context during the breakup of Gondwana. Structurally, Kéniéba dolerites are often associated with kimberlite pipes, fractures and large deep structures identified using aeromagnetic images. Taking into account the fact that kimberlites do not outcrop in the Kéniéba region, the geochemical study coupled with the interpretation of aeromagnetic data proved to be very useful for the search for pipes.

Surface chemistry of nanoscale fe_3O_4 dispersed in magnetic fluids

The interaction between stabilizers and nanoparticles is one of the important factors to prepare stable magnetic fluids. The magnetic nano-size fe3O4 core with single domain and the average grain size around 8-12 nm were prepared by chemical precipitation method. The O/fe molar ratio of the particle surface was measured by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The heat effects of stabilizers ad- sorption on nanoparticles were measured by solution calorimetry. The excess amount of oxygen was possibly the result of the hydroxygen formed on the surface of the nanoparticles. The heat effects showed that compounds containing carboxyl groups can be adsorbed chemically on magnetite by forming chemical bonds. The other stabilizers involving NH-groups, such as polyethylene-imine, can be adsorbed physically. The exothermic value is about half of the former case.

随着探测技术的不断完善,大量观测资料揭示了真实大气的复杂运动过程,然而与通过对大气动力学系统作数值分析研究大气浑沌性相比,我们对真实大气运动的复杂性的了解还是初步的。对于像大气运动这样的耗散系统,它的浑沌性通常用3个统计特征量来描写,即维数、Lyapunov指数和熵。最近10多年来,用这些特征量刻划大气运动结构的工作在国内外发展很快,郑祖光和刘式达讨论了近地面大气的浑沌状态;fraedrich等发现低层大气浑沌吸引子的维数与季节有关;Yang等用MU雷达观测资料计算了平流层大气运动的维数和熵。但有关更高层大气运动浑沌特性的工作尚未见文献报道。

The proton charge radius rP is a fundamental quantity in particle physics,as it challenges our understanding of the so successful Standard Model in the non-perturbative regime of the strong interactions.It is defined by the slope of the proton charge form factor GE p etT at zero momentum transfer,with t the invariant four-momentum transfer squared.The proton charge radius was first indirectly measured in the Nobel prize winning electron scattering experiments by Hofstadter et al.[1,2],who fitted the form factor data with a dipole form and extracted the radius from the slope of the dipole.
