Generalized synchronization of two discrete systems was discussed. By constructing appropriately nonlinear coupling terms, some sufficient conditions for determining the generalized synchronization between the drive and response systems were derived. In a positive invariant and bounded set, many chaotic maps satisfy the sufficient conditions. The effectiveness of the sufficient conditions is illustrated by three examples.

Kahane has studied the value distribution of the Gauss-Taylor serieswhere {Xn} is a complex Gauss sequence and In this paper, by trans-forming the right half plane into the unit disc and setting up some important inequal-ities, the value distribution of the Dirichlet series is studied where {Xn}is a sequence of some non-degenerate independent random variable satisfying conditions:EXn = 0; Xn or ReXn or ImAn of bounded density. Thereexists α> 0 such that Vn : (the classic Gauss and Steinhaus random variables are special cases of such random variables). The important results are obtained that every point on the line Res = 0 is a Picard point of the series without finite exceptional value a.s..

We apply the （G＇/G）-expansion method to solve two systems of nonlinear differential equations and construct traveling wave solutions expressed in terms of hyperbolic functions, trigonometric functions, and rational functions with arbitrary parameters. We highlight the power of the （G＇/G）-expansion method in providing generalized solitary wave solutions of different physical structures. It is shown that the （G＇/G）-expansion method is very effective and provides a powerful mathematical tool to solve nonlinear differential equation systems in mathematical physics.

Given a finite dimensional special biserial algebra A with normed basis we obtain the dimension formulae of the first Hochschild homology groups of A and the vector space Alt(DA). As a consequence, an explicit dimension formula of the first Hochschild cohomology group of trivial extension TA = A × DA in terms of the combinatorics of the quiver and relations is determined.

Given two data matrices X and Y, Sparse canonical correlation analysis（SCCA） is to seek two sparse canonical vectors u and v to maximize the correlation between Xu and Yv. Classical and sparse Canonical correlation analysis（CCA） models consider the contribution of all the samples of data matrices and thus cannot identify an underlying specific subset of samples. We propose a novel Sparse weighted canonical correlation analysis（SWCCA）,where weights are used for regularizing different *** solve the L;-regularized SWCCA（L;-SWCCA） using an alternating iterative algorithm. We apply L;-SWCCA to synthetic data and real-world data to demonstrate its effectiveness and superiority compared to related methods. We consider also SWCCA with different penalties like Least absolute shrinkage and selection operator（LASSO）and Group LASSO, and extend it for integrating more than three data matrices.

A collocation method based on an extended cubic B-spline function is introduced for the numerical solution of the modified regularized long wave equation. The accuracy of the method is illustrated by studying the single solitary wave propagation and the interaction of two solitary waves of the modified regularized long wave equation.

For the two-dimensional Walsh system, Gat and Weisz proved the a.e. convergence of Fejer means σnf of integrable functions, where the set of indices is inside a positive cone around the identical function, that is, β^-1≤n1/n2 ≤β is provided with some fixed parameter ~ 〉 1. In this paper we generalize the result of Gat and Weisz. We not only generalize this theorem, but give a necessary and sufficient condition for cone-like sets in order to preserve this convergence property.
