Solar vapor generation （SVC） represents a promising technique for seawater desalination to alleviate the global water crisis and energy *** of its main bottleneck problems is that the evaporation efficiency and stability are limited by salt crystallization under high-salinity ***,we demonstrate that the 3D porous melamine-foam （MF） wrapped by a type of self-assembling composite materials based on reduced polyoxometalates （*** blue,HPB）,oleic acid （OA）,and polypyrrole （PPy）(labeled with MF@HPB-PPy_n-OA) can serve as efficient and stable SVC material at high *** characterizations of MF@HPB-PPy_n-OA indicate that both hydrophilic region of HPBs and hydrophobic region of OA co-exist on the surface of composite materials,optimizing the hydrophilic and hydrophobic interfaces of the SVC materials,and fully exerting its functionality for ultrahigh water-evaporation and anti-salt *** optimal MF@HPBPPy10-OA operates continuously and stably for over 100 h in 10wt%***,MF@HPB-PPy10-OA accomplishes complete salt-water separation of 10wt%brine with 3.3kgm-2h-1under 1-sun irradiation,yielding salt harvesting efficiency of 96.5%,which belongs to the record high of high-salinity systems reported so far and is close to achieving zero liquid ***,the low cost of MF@HPB-PPy10-OA (2.56$m-2)suggests its potential application in the practical SVC technique.

The orthorhombic CuNb2O6（O-CNO） is established as a competitive anode for lithium-ion capacitors（LICs） owing to its attractive compositional/structural ***,the high-temperature synthesis（>900 ℃） and controversial charge-storage mechanism always limit its ***,we develop a low-temperature strategy to fabricate a nano-blocksconstructed hierarchical accordional O-CNO framework by employing multilayered Nb2CTxas the niobium *** intrinsic stress-induced formation/transformation mechanism of the monoclinic CuNb2O6to O-CNO is tentatively put ***,the integrated phase conversion and solid solution lithium-storage mechanism is reasonably unveiled with comprehensive in（ex） situ *** to its unique structural merits and lithium-storage process,the resulted O-CNO anode is endowed with a large capacity of 150.3 mAh g-1at 2.0 A g-1,along with longduration cycling ***,the constructed O-CNO-based LICs exhibit a high energy(138.9 Wh kg-1) and power(4.0 kW kg-1) densities with a modest cycling stability（15.8% capacity degradation after 3000consecutive cycles）.More meaningfully,the in-depth insights into the formation and charge-storage process here can promote the extensive development of binary metal Nb-based oxides for advanced LICs.

Cathode interfacial materials(CIMs)stand as critical elemental in organic solar cells(OSCs),which can align energy levels,and foster ohmic contacts between the cathode and active layer of the ***,the lagging advancement in CIMs has concurrently engendered the oversight of theoretical inquiries pertaining to the impact of molecular structure on their *** into this realm,we present two propeller-shaped isomers,4,4',4''-(benzo[1,2-b:3,4-b':5,6-b'']trithiophene-2,5,8-triyl)tris(2-(3-(dimethylamino)propyl)-1H-benzo[de]isoquinoline-1,3(2H)-dione)(3ONIN)and 6,6',6''-(benzo[1,2-b:3,4-b':5,6-b'']trithiophene-2,5,8-triyl)tris(2-(3-(dimethylamino)propyl)-1H-benzo[de]isoquinoline-1,3(2H)-dione)(3PNIN),distinguished by their molecular planarity,as a promising foundation for crafting highly efficient *** study illuminates the superiority of 3PNIN with more plane structure,exemplified by its enhanced molar extinction coefficient,deeper lowest unoccupied molecular orbital(LUMO)and highest occupied molecular orbital(HOMO)energy levels,intensified self-doping effect,heightened electron mobility,and elevated conductivity,in comparison to its counterpart,*** a result,3PNIN and 3ONIN-treated OSC devices yield efficiencies of 17.73%and 16.82%,*** finding serves as a compelling validation of the critical role played by molecular planarity in influencing CIM performance.

Imaging objects hidden behind turbid media is of great scientific importance and practical value, which has been drawing a lot of attention recently. However, most of the scattering imaging methods rely on a narrow linewidth of light, limiting their application. A mixture of the scattering light from various spectra blurs the detected speckle pattern, bringing difficulty in phase retrieval. Image reconstruction becomes much worse for dynamic objects due to short exposure times. We here investigate non-invasively recovering images of dynamic objects under white-light irradiation with the multi-frame OTF retrieval engine (MORE). By exploiting redundant information from multiple measurements, MORE recovers the phases of the optical-transfer-function (OTF) instead of recovering a single image of an object. Furthermore, we introduce the number of non-zero pixels (NNP) into MORE, which brings improvement on recovered images. An experimental proof is performed for dynamic objects at a frame rate of 20 Hz under white-light irradiation of more than 300 nm bandwidth.

Spectroscopic ellipsometry is a potent method that is widely adopted for the measurement of thin film thickness and refractive *** conventional ellipsometers utilize mechanically rotating polarizers and grating-based spectrometers for spectropolarimetric ***,we demonstrated a compact metasurface array-based spectroscopic ellipsometry system that allows single-shot spectropolarimetric detection and accurate determination of thin film properties without any mechanical *** silicon-based metasurface array with a highly anisotropic and diverse spectral response is combined with iterative optimization to reconstruct the full Stokes polarization spectrum of the light reflected by the thin film with high ***,the film thickness and refractive index can be determined by fitting the measurement results to a proper material model with high *** approach opens up a new pathway towards a compact and robust spectroscopic ellipsometry system for the high throughput measurement of thin film properties.
