Azoreductases are involved in the bioremediation by bacteria of azo dyes found in waste *** the gut flora,they activate azo pro-drugs,which are used for treatment of inflammatory bowel disease,releasing the active component 5-aminosalycilic *** bacterium *** has three azoreductase genes,paAzoR1,paAzoR2 and paAzoR3,which as recombinant enzymes have been shown to have different substrate *** mechanism of azoreduction relies upon tautomerisation of the substrate to the hydrazone *** report here the characterization of the *** azoreductase enzymes,including determining their thermostability,cofactor preference and kinetic constants against a range of their favoured *** expression levels of these enzymes during growth of *** are altered by the presence of azo *** is shown that enzymes that were originally described as azoreductases,are likely to act as NADH quinone *** low sequence identities observed among NAD(P)H quinone oxidoreductase and azoreductase enzymes suggests convergent evolution.

Thermal print head heating real-time temperature fluctuations are too large,often causing damage to the print head heating point,resulting in poor print quality and unsatisfactory print ***,to improve the stability of the thermal print head during printing,and at the same time to solve the inefficiency of the traditional single-chip microcomputer control of the thermal print head heating method,a field programmable gate array-based thermal print head heating control method is *** control the core,the intelligent fuzzy Proportional-Integral-Differential(PID)control algorithm is used to ensure that the temperature of the print head can be stabilized *** simulation and experimental verification,it is shown that the intelligent fuzzy PID control algorithm greatly improves the temperature stabilization effect,and the time required to reach stability short not only improve the printing accuracy but also extend the life of the print head.

Layered α-cobalt hydroxides Co（OH1.65 Cl0.***.0.5H2O （1）, Co（OH）1.75（NO3）0.***.0.1H2O（2） with unique macro- and microscale morphologies have been synthesised by a low temperature, ammonia-controlled vapour-diffusion method. The materials have thin film morphologies and were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction （XRD） and field emission scanning electron microscopy （FESEM）.

The brown-headed cowbird(hereafter cowbird)is an avian brood parasite that produces an egg dissimilar to those produced by the majority of its diverse host *** cowbird’s generic egg may result from a Jack-of-all-trades strategy;however,the evolutionary mechanisms that select for their generic eggs are *** we propose that the cowbird’s eggshell phenotypes have evolved via diffuse coevolution,which results from community-level selective pressures,rather than via pairwise coevolution that occurs between a particular host species and its brood *** diffuse coevolution the cowbird’s host community,with varying eggshell phenotypes and recognition abilities,would select for a cowbird eggshell phenotype intermediate to those of its host *** selection is exerted by hosts that reject cowbird eggs,rather than those that accept them;therefore,we expect cowbird eggshell colors can be approximated by both the phenotypes and rejection abilities of their host *** we use eggshell reflectance data from 43 host species to demonstrate that the cowbird eggshell phenotypes are reasonably predicted(within 2 just noticeable differences)by the eggshell phenotypes and rejection rates of their *** findings suggest that cowbird eggshell phenotypes,and potentially those of other some generalist parasites,may evolve via diffuse ***,this research provides insight into the underlying evolutionary processes that explain observed phenotypic variation and provides a framework for studying selection on both specialist and generalist parasites’traits.

Surface-active polymers are of substantial importance in many diverse aspects of modern technology, with applications ranging from solid phase chemical synthesis related to drug discovery and chemical catalysis to biocompatible/bioactive medical implants and prostheses, and to surface-modified fabrics. Whilst there are a number of existing physical (e. g. corona or plasma discharge, ion beam irradiation[1] ) and chemical (e. ***, oxidation, chlorination, acylation and quaternisation[2-4]) methods for the surface modification of polymers, the frequent requirement for significant infrastructure, harsh reaction conditions, and limitation to specific polymer types (e. g. polybutadiene[5] ), which must possess suitable chemical functionality capable of direct modification, led us to consider alternative chemical methods. Desirable was an alternative that would be amenable to a large range of polymers, permitting direct chemical modification under mild conditions and using inexpensive reagents.

The earliest known image of the binding of Isaac,known as the Akedah,is on a Torah shrine in a synagogue in Dura Europos,Syria dating before 244(fig.1).It shows a fully developed iconography of a young Isaac on the altar with the burning wood,the ram by the tree,Abraham holding the knife,and the hand of God issuing from a *** the visual narrative is largely based on the account of the Akedah in Genesis 22,it also relies on details found in other Jewish literary sources that include the Talmud,Targum Onkelos,Targum Pseudo-Jonathan,commentary on Genesis by Rashi,Midrash account of Pirkei De Rabbi Eliezer,and Genesis *** paper will present unexplored Jewish sources for the iconography of the Akedah/Sacrifice of Isaac in art of Late Antiquity.
