A Novel Ratio-Based Parallel DEA Approach for Evaluating the Energy and Environmental Performance of Chinese Transportation Sectors

As a high-energy-consumption and high-CO2-emission industry in China,the transportation sector has been under increasing pressure to improve its *** paper develops a novel parallel DEA approach to measure Chinese transportation sector's energy and environmental performance (EEP) over all possible weights,which is to avoid the risk of using the extreme or the most favorable weights in performance *** our method,the transportation sector is consisted of two parallel subsystems (passenger transportation and freight transportation) with shared inputs and undesirable shared *** possible weights are considered in the EEP evaluation,then the EEP of a transportation sector is represented by a ranking ***,the proposed approach is applied to the transportation sectors in 30 Chinese *** show that the best and the worst ranking of most provinces vary ***,the EEP of most provinces is hard to dominate others strictly,but the general tendency is the EEP of eastern provinces better than western ***,the EEP difference of some adjacent provinces with similar features is *** findings are not all the same as previous studies,which verifies the necessity of considering all possible weights in performance ***,our method provides a new point of view in performance evaluation and can give more robust results for decision makers.

Although many theories regarding the implementation of knowledge management （KM） in organizations have been proposed and studied, most applications tend to stand alone without incorporating the business processes. Different categories of knowledge provide different benefits and how to integrate various categories of KM into a hybrid approach as an effective KM manner remains strategically important, and yet is still understudied. Therefore, in this paper a hybrid model that integrates principal KM applications for new service development （NSD） and the measurement of the resulting f＇mancial benefits have been developed. The proposed KM model incorporates newsgroups, knowledge forums, knowledge asset management and knowledge application processes as a hybrid means for sharing organizational knowledge along two axes, explicit vs. implicit and individual vs. collective. One of the largest management consulting companies in Taiwan, China, whose process model of NSD was standing alone with KM applications, was selected for the case study. A set of hybrid KM processes was developed to implement the proposed KM model, and it illustrates an application with greater financial benefits for integrating hybrid KM practices into the business process. Based on knowledge value added （KVA） validation, the proposed KM model provides a new operating system for sharing NSD knowledge within an organization. Through the case study by measuring the achieved financial results, the proposed KM model is found to provide an exclusive hybrid platform with an empirical process model to address innovative approaches and practical values of KM within an organization.

The sliding wear and impact wear resistances of D2 steel with nitriding layer, PVD titanium nitride coating and their duplex treatment were investigated. The experimental results suggest that the duplex treatment has the best sliding and impact wear resistances under experimental conditions. And the wear resistance of PVD titanium nitride is better than that of nitriding. The impact wear resistance and wear mechanism of all three surface layers remain unchanged under impact load of 0.2 J or 1 J. All samples end with the same symptom of flaking.

industrial development can enrich people＇s lives, but it also causes environmental pollution, which is an area of significant concern among governments, consumers, and companies. Governments formulate some environmental policies, which motivate industry by providing greater incentives for green product development. Consumers are classified into two groups - ordinary and green market segments - according to their environmental awareness and attitudes. In this regard, companies need to reconsider their primary product design strategies. By investigating the interactions among customers＇ preferences, firms＇ product strategies, and government subsidy policies, this paper presents a theoretical model for new product design strategies. After detailed theoretical analysis of such strategies, we found that to motivate firms to choose environmentally friendly product design strategies, governments should inaugurate effective subsidy policies. After simultaneously considering environmental issues and firms＇ benefits, we designed a subsidy policy. With such a policy, firms can change their primary product design strategies and develop both green and ordinary products, thereby increasing the firms＇ profits and improving the total environmental quality.

Resource allocation is one of the most important applications of data envelopment analysis(DEA).Usually,the resource to be allocated is directly related to the interests of decision-making units(DMUs),thus the dynamic non-cooperative game is one of the representative behaviours in the allocation ***,it is rarely considered in the previous DEA-based allocation studies,which may reduce the acceptability of the allocation ***,this paper proposes a DEA-based resource allocation method considering the dynamic non-cooperative game behaviours of *** authors first deduce the efficient allocation set under the framework of variable return to scale(VRS)and build the allocation model subjecting to the allocation *** an iteration algorithm based on the concept of the non-cooperative game is provided for generating the optimal allocation *** interesting characteristics of the algorithm are proved,including i)the algorithm is convergent,ii)the optimal allocation plan is a unique Nash equilibrium point,and iii)the optimal allocation plan is unique no matter which positive value the initial allocation *** advantages of the allocation plan have been *** example,the allocation plan is more balanced,has more incentives and less outliers,compared with other DEA-based allocation ***,the proposed method is applied to allocate the green credit among the 30 Chinese iron and steel enterprises,and the results highlight the applicability of the allocation method and solution ***,the approach can provide decision makers with a useful resource allocation tool from the perspective of dynamic non-cooperative game.

OBJECTIVE： To analyze the application laws of clini- cal drugs by descriptive statistical method with the clinical literatures guided by ＂lung being connect- ed with large intestine＂ used as the object. METHODS： Retrieve publicly published clinical litera- tures about ＂lung being connected with large intes- tine＂ in recent 30 years, establish the data base of clini- cal literature, and study on the clinically drug-used laws by descriptive statistical analytic method. RESULTS： The common high frequent drugs used for the lung-intestine related diseases were Gualou （Ructus Trichsanthis）, Dahuang （Radix et Rhizoma）, Kuxingren （Semen Armeniacae Amarum）, Gancao （Radix Glycyrrhizae）, Houpu （Cortex Magnoliae Offi- cinalis）, Zhishi （Fructus Aurantii Immaturus）. For the different clinical syndrome types, in the commonly used drugs there were different characteristics, re- flecting the principle of TCM syndrome differentia- tion ***： The common high frequent drugs used for the lung-intestine related diseases are Gua- Iou （Fructus Trichsantffis）, Dahuang （Radix et Rhi- zoma）, Kuxingren （Semen Armeniacae Amarum）, Gancao （Radix Glycyrrhizae）, Houpu （Cortex Mag- noliae Officinalis）, Zhishi （Fructus Aurantii Immatu- rus）, which are commonly-used drugs for the lung-intestine related diseases ,with differences for different syndrome types.
