This paper evaluates accommodation of conflict management strategies and board performances in oil and gas *** study details the reflection of effectiveness,efficiency and productivity as the answer to thorough efficiency in accommodation of conflict management in oil and gas sector,these parameters in the system express their efficacy on conflict management in these multinationals,this implies that for thorough efficiency,these variables must work simultaneously for effective and efficient in structural organization that can be a leading multinational sector in oil and gas *** study observed Linearized result from graphical representation explaining predominant lower efficiency and little higher efficiency in accommodation of conflict management in oil and gas *** experiences from the study monitor the system from generated simulation values that describe the growth rates in exponential phase of accommodation conflict strategic *** exponential phase the results experienced lower parameters,when comparing on its variations showing its poor efficiency as observed in the *** periods observed higher effective accommodation on conflict strategic *** developed model stimulation values were subjected to validation and both parameters generated favourable fits correlation,the study expressed the deficiency on accommodation of conflict management strategy thus developed models that can monitor the fluctuation and progressive state of accommodation on conflict management strategy,it defines the reflection of other parameters that express the behaviour of the system in terms of conceptual approach to monitor these type of strategic management in oil and gas companies.

Excessive exploitation,negligence,non-degradable nature,and physical and chemical properties of plastic waste have resulted in a massive pollution load into the ***,plastic entres the food chain and can cause serious health issues in aquatic animals and *** present review summarizes currently reported techniques and approaches for the removal of plastic *** techniques,such as adsorption,coagulation,photocatalysis,and microbial degradation,and approaches like reduction,reuse and recycling are potentially in trend and differ from each other in their efficiency and interaction ***,substantial advantages and challenges associated with these techniques and approaches are highlighted to develop an understanding of the selection of possible ways for a sustainable ***,in addition to the reduction of plastic waste from the ecosystem,many alternative opportunities have also been explored to cash plastic *** fields include the synthesis of adsorbents for the removal of pollutants from aqueous and gaseous stream,their utility in clothing,waste to energy and fuel and in construction(road making).Substantial evidence can be observed in the reduction of plastic pollution from various *** addition,it is important to develop an understanding of factors that need to be emphasized while considering alternative approaches and opportunities to cash plastic waste(like adsorbent,clothing,waste to energy and fuel).The thrust of this review is to provide readers with a comprehensive overview of the development status of techniques and approaches to overcome the global issue of plastic pollution and the outlook on the exploitation of this waste as resources.

Religiosity and bank earnings management:Revisiting international evidence

The modernization theory forecasts a sharp declining effect of institutionalized religion on human behavior owing to the extensive economic ***,this prediction is rejected and proved that religious values and beliefs have a pervasive influence on individual *** on this salient evidence,we examine the influence of religious social norms on bank earnings management behavior with regard to ongoing economic *** use 20,715 bank-year observations from 1318 listed banks of eight geographical ***,further,employ an updated dataset of 2007-2021 to resemble the economic prosperity time *** study discards the prediction of the modernization theory and reveals that banks located in countries with high religiosity are less likely to manage their reported *** comparing conventional banks with Islamic ones,conventional banks are found to be less prone to the earnings management practice than that of their Islamic *** also find religiosity to have a greater magnitude of effect on the accounting manipulation in the crisis period than in the post-crisis *** cross-regional differences in religious values bring differential effects on this unethical *** results are robust with the alternative measures of earnings management and alternative model specifications.

Field curing methods and storage duration affect the quality of hay from six rangeland grass species in Kenya

Introduction:Rangelands are important source of pasture for livestock in Kenya since time immemorial to pastoral ***,seasonality on forage availability has been a big challenge in meeting animals’feed *** demands harvest and storage of pastures for use during dry *** making has been done to bridge this forage deficit ***,hay quality in the rangelands is affected by curing methods,phonological stage at harvest,and the storage *** therefore evaluated the effect of field curing and storage duration on the quality(Crude Protein(CP))of hay from six rangeland grasses in ***:The grasses evaluated are Chloris roxburghiana,Eragrostis superba,Enteropogon macrostachyus,Cenchrus ciliaris,Chloris gayana,and Sorghum *** grasses are the common species in the rangelands of Kenya and have been promoted in the past for hay making and reseeding *** grasses were harvested at the mature flowering stage(12 weeks phenological stage),which is a period that provides high biomass without much effect on quality as practiced in the study *** grasses were then cured in the field for 1,2,and 3 days before baling and stored indoors for 12,24,and 36 *** were taken for CP content determination at the three periods following Macro-Kjeldahl ***:There was significant decline(p≤0.05)in crude protein content in all the grass species with storage *** period did not affect the CP content for all the species at a given storage period;however,3 days curing changed the hay color from green to brownish which reduces palatability and consequently reduced feed *** period of over 12 weeks adversely lowered CP to less than 6% for all the species which is the required minimum level for animal under production and *** had significantly higher decline in CP after 24 weeks storage compared to the other ***:Therefore,hay from the six grass spec

Relative abundance of biotic communities of plankton and zoobenthos in three ox-bow lakes of Eastern India

We made comparative studies of three tropical ox-bow lakes in India with different trophic *** species number of zooplanktons was negatively correlated with the degree of water eutrophication,and lakes of similar trophic status had higher similarity of *** most significant differences of species composition were observed with rotifers and *** density and biomass of phytoplankton,rotifers,oligochaetes and chironomids tended to increase with increasing *** observed a significant difference of dominant species in different waters,especially the eutrophic lake,which was dominated by a few species of *** abundance of Tanypus bilobatus showed a highly significant correlation with the degree of *** and zoobenthos showed considerably lower biodiversity in the eutrophic lake.

Role of Community Health Practitioners in National Development: The Nigeria Situation

This is a review paper that brings to focus, concepts of Community Health Practice that connect Community Health Practitioners’ Roles to National development in view of its composite index improvement measure of social welfare services provision among others for the citizens of a country over time, with particular emphasis on medical care component of such index aimed at reduction in diseases and poverty in the population. The objective of the review work is to determine the extent to which Community Health Practice, particularly by Community Health Practitioners is capable of ensuring National Development in democratic governance or otherwise, in the context of our country, Nigeria. The methodology applied was traditional review of published literatures concerning the subject and findings of operational research of programme implemented by Community Health Practitioners at the Primary Health Care facilities and household level in the communities. This paper emphasizes on Primary Health Care services delivery contribution to National Development, since it is the level where Community Health Practitioners are mainly commissioned to render their services. Home-Based Care Strategy for Integrated Maternal, Newborn and Child Health piloted in three (3) local government areas (Ahoada West, Etche and Oyigbo) in Rivers State, Nigeria, in 2012 and implemented by Community Health Practitioners, aimed at reducing maternal, newborn and child morbidity and mortality by 20% by 2015 in line with the United Nations (UN) Millennium Development Goals 4 and 5, had been shown to achieve an average of 26% improvement in utilization of maternal and newborn health services, an average of 27% overall reduction in maternal malnutrition status, an average of 14% overall improvement in under 5 years malnutrition status among others in 2013 on comparing with baseline indicators. Nigeria also attained 80% coverage in routine immunization in most vaccine preventable diseases except Tetanus Toxio

Mapping tree canopies in urban environments using airborne laser scanning (ALS):a Vancouver case study

Background: The distribution of forest vegetation within urban environments is critically important as it influences urban environmental conditions and the energy exchange through the absorption of solar radiation and modulation of evapotranspiration. It also plays an important role filtering urban water systems and reducing storm water ***: We investigate the capacity of ALS data to individually detect, map and characterize large(taller than15 m) trees within the City of Vancouver. Large trees are critical for the function and character of Vancouver’s urban forest. We used an object-based approach for individual tree detection and segmentation to determine tree locations(position of the stem), to delineate the shape of the crowns and to categorize the latter either as coniferous or ***: Results indicate a detection rate of 76.6% for trees > 15 m with a positioning error of 2.11 m(stem location). Extracted tree heights possessed a RMSE of 2.60 m and a bias of-1.87 m, whereas crown diameter was derived with a RMSE of 3.85 m and a bias of-2.06 m. Missed trees are principally a result of undetected treetops occurring in dense, overlapping canopies with more accurate detection and delineation of trees in open ***: By identifying key structural trees across Vancouver’s urban forests, we can better understand their role in providing ecosystem goods and services for city residents.

SHEAR STRESS FOR INITIATION OF MOTION OF NON-UNIFORM SEDIMENT MIXTURES

Experiments on initiation of motion of different fractions of non-uniform sediment mixtures are reported. Four sediment mixes and reference transport method to define the threshold of bed particle movement are used in this analysis. Factors controlling the initiation of motion are analyzed. It is found that relative size of different grains with respect to a median size greatly affects the initiation of movement. The incipient motion of non-uniform sediment is very much dependent on the absolute size for coarser fractions. Considering the factors controlling the initiation of motion the experimental data sets along with the other available data yield a new relationship for the calculation of critical shear stress of non-uniform sediments. A set of equations have found that all the data points fall into a single line for the finer and for coarser fractions.

This study focuses on inventory strategies of Internet retailers (etailers). The etailer faces options of holding her own inventory or outsourcing through the third party(ies). We assess etailer inventory strategies through mathematical modeling and numerical experiments. When ordering and holding her own stock, the etailer has full control of the order fulfillment process but bears the inventory-related risk. When outsourcing stock, etailer’s orders may not get an equal priority as for those of the third party’s own. Built upon simple operations research models, the numerical experiments suggest that the etailer is better off relying on others to fulfill orders if her demand (profit margin) is low, but should revert to the strategy of maintaining her own inventory if her sales volume (profit margin) is relatively high. Other factors are also investigated. These findings seem to confirm what are being practiced in the industry.

Modelling surface runoff using the soil conservation service-curve number method in a drought prone agro-ecological zone in Rwanda

Runoff farming is reported to improve land productivity and crop yields in hot and dry *** study was conducted to assess the available rainwater that can be harvested in a conserved catchment in a drought prone agro-ecological *** study was carried out in the Cyili sub-catchment,southern province of Rwanda,which has an irregular rainfall pattern and unexploited runoff *** Conservation Service-Curve Number method (SCS-CN),CROPWAT model version 8 and Hazen model with an average daily rainfall data recorded from 1971 to 2016 were applied to estimate the runoff and water requirements in the study *** of the study revealed that more than half rainfall water received in the catchment was lost through runoff (229.8 mm) and effective rainfall was lower (246.9 mm) than the actual crop water requirement for maize (330 mm).The expected seasonal surface runoff volume to be harvested by the farmers was 3008 m3 ha-1 per season and 1.29 × 106 m3 per season for the entire whole sub-catchment (430 ha).Based on Hazen model,the return period of low rainfall (dry spell) event would be expected every 2 years with a 98% probability of *** sub-catchment has higher potential runoff volume to stabilize the deficit of water demand in the period of short rainy *** suggests that rainwater harvesting through supplementary irrigation is an option to improve the crop yield in the dry period as well as in the annual dry season.
