Castor is one of the top 10 oil crops in the world and has extremely valuable *** inflorescences directly affect yield,so the study of inflorescence development is very important in increasing castor *** previous studies have shown that the PIP5K gene family(PIP5Ks)is associated with inflorescence *** this study,to determine the function of each PIP5K gene in castor,a female Lm-type castor line,aLmAB2,was used to determine the relative expression levels of the PIP5Ks in castor *** PIP5K genes were heterologously overexpressed in Arabidopsis thaliana,the relative expression of each gene and the effect on plants was determined in ***,and the relationships among the PIP5Ks in castor were *** expression levels of the PIP5Ks in the female Lm-type castor line aLmAB2 were *** relative expression levels of the PIP5K9 and PIP5K11 genes were high(pdevelopment;and the PIP5K6,PIP5K8,PIP5K9 and PIP5K11 genes inhibited lateral stem growth and flower and silique *** correlations among PIP5Ks in castor suggest that there may be a synergistic relationship among PIP5K1,PIP5K2,and PIP5K6 in castor inflorescences,and PIP5K8,PIP5K9,and PIP5K11 are complementary to the other three genes.

The yield of castor is influenced by the type of inflorescence and the proportion of female ***,there are few studies on the genetic mechanism involved in the development and differentiation of castor *** this study,we performed transcriptomic analyses of three different phenotypes of inflorescences at the five-leaf *** comparison to the MI(complete pistil without willow leaves),290 and 89 differentially expressed genes(DEGs)were found in the SFI(complete pistil with willow leaves)and the BI(monoecious inflorescence),*** the DEGs,104 and 88 were upregulated in the SFI and BI,respectively,compared to the *** addition,186 DEGs and 1 DEG were downregulated in the SFI and BI compared to the ***,we conducted GO and KEGG enrichment analyses of the *** comparison to the MI,the SFI and BI exhibited the enrichment of functional branches in DEGs,specifically in pollen wall assembly,pollen development,and cellular component assembly involved in *** our study,RADL5 showed low expression levels between SFI-vs.-MI *** addition,we found that the expression of NAC in the SFI differed from that in MI and BI,and some genes related to hormonal signaling changed their expression levels during inflorescence *** results reveal the genetic mechanism of sex genotypes in castor,which will not only guide researchers in the breeding of castor but also provide a reference for genetic research on other flowering plants.

A quantitative assessment of the distribution and extent of urban clusters in China

Urban clusters are the expected products of high levels of industry and urbanization in a country, as well as being the basic units of participation in global competition. With respect to China, urban clusters are regarded as the dominant formation for boosting the Chinese urbanization process. However, to date, there is no coincident, efficient, and credible methodological system and set of techniques to identify Chinese urban clusters. This research investigates the potential of a computerized identification method supported by geographic information techniques to provide a better understanding of the distribution of Chinese urban clusters. The identification method is executed based on a geographic information database, a digital elevation model, and socio-economic data with the aid of ArcInfo Macro Language programming. In the method, preliminary boundaries are identified accord-ing to transportation accessibility, and final identifications are achieved from limiting city numbers, population, and GDP in a region with the aid of the rasterized socio-economic dataset. The results show that the method identifies nine Chinese urban clusters, i.e., Pearl River Delta, Lower Yangtze River Valley, Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region, Northeast China Plain, Middle Yangtze River Valley, Central China Plains, Western Taiwan Strait, Guanzhong and Chengdu-Chongqing urban clusters. This research represents the first study involving the computerized identification of Chinese urban clusters. Moreover, compared to other related studies, the study’s approach, which combines transportation accessibility and socio-economic characteristics, is shown to be a distinct, effective and reliable way of identifying urban clusters.

This paper analyzes the roots and nature of problems in China’s service industry *** the background of a changing environment for the service industry,the author raises several policy suggestions for growing the industry during the 13th five-year plan period:encouraging a strategy that shifts priority from manufacturing industry to the service industry;strenthening research on strategy,plan and policy about the development of service industry;providing stronger policy support for clustering in the service industry;and actively implementing pilot and demonstration projects for institutional and systemic reform of the service industry,and strengthening human resource training and development to firm up industrial foundation.

Since last October, loose monetary and credit policies and the stimulus package have produced desired results. The economy has entered into a "V-shaped" recovery in the second quarter of this year after hitting the bottom in the first quarter, with various economic indicators rising fast, rescue missions completed and short-term objectives basically met. In this context, the next step of macro-regulation should focus on long-term objectives, speed up institutional innovation and restructuring, control the intensity, pattern and pace of short-term policy loosening and prevent inflation and wild swings in the economy so as to achieve a new round of sustained and rapid economic growth.

Stable and efficient single atom catalysts(SACs)are highly desirable yet challenging in catalyzing acidic oxygen evolution reaction(OER).Herein,we report a novel iridium single atom catalyst structure,with atomic Ir doped in tetragonal PdO matrix(IrSAs-PdO)via a lattice-confined *** optimized IrSAs-PdO-0.10 exhibited remarkable OER activity with an overpotential of 277 mV at 10 mA·cm^(-2) and long-term stability of 1000 h in 0.5 M H_(2)SO_(4).Furthermore,the turnover frequency attains 1.6 s^(-1) at an overpotential of 300 mV with a 24-fold increase in the intrinsic *** high activity originates from isolated iridium sites with low valence states and decreased Ir–O bonding covalency,and the excellent stability is a result of the effective confinement of iridium sites by Ir–O–Pd ***,we demonstrated for the first time that SACs have great potential in realizing ultralow loading of iridium(as low as microgram per square center meter level)in a practical water electrolyzer.

For three decades China has followed an incremental approach in renminbi exchange rate *** this period,the exchange rate system has gone through five stages of evolution:i) a"basket peg"exchange rate regime;ii) a dual-track system;Hi) exchange rate convergence;iv) a"unitary pegged"exchange rate regime;and v) a managed floating exchange rate regime based on market supply and demand with reference to a basket of currencies. reforming the exchange rate formation mechanism is a complex engineering project influenced by numerous factors such as the economic development mode,industrial structure,basic economic system,market system condition,financial and macroeconomic policy system as well as the new advantages arising from opening-up *** 2005,China has achieved substantial success in reforming the exchange rate formation mechanism but still faces a plethora of *** address these issues,China should strengthen the role of the market in the exchange rate formation process and gradually push for the free convertibility of the renminbi under the capital *** the raging global financial crisis,China should further adapt to the diversification of the international monetary system and aggressively proceed with renminbi regionalization and internationalization.
