Half-integer microwave induced steps(Shapiro steps)have been observed in many different Josephson junction systems,which have attracted a lot of attention because they signify the deviation of current phase relation(CPR)and uncover many unconventional physical *** this article,we first report the discovery of half-integer Shapiro steps in MgB_(2)focused He ion beam(He-FIB)Josephson *** half-integer steps'dependence on microwave frequency,temperature,microwave power,and magnetic field is also *** find that the existence of half-integer steps can be controlled by the magnetic field periodically,which is similar to that of high temperature superconductor(HTS)grain boundary junctions,and the similarity of the microstructures between gain boundary junctions and He-FIB junctions is *** a consequence,we mainly attribute the physical origin of half-integer steps in MgB_(2)He-FIB junctions to the model that a He-FIB junction is analogous to a parallel junctions'*** results show that He-FIB technology is a promising platform for researching CPR in junctions made of different superconductors.

Recently,many lead-free metal halides with diverse structures and highly efficient emission have been ***,their poor stability and single-mode emission color severely limit their ***,three homologous Sb^(3+)-doped zero-dimensional(0D)air-stable Sn(IV)-based metal halides with different crystal structures were developed by inserting a single organic ligand into SnCl_(4)lattice,which brings different optical *** photoexcitation,(C_(25)H_(22)P)SnC_(l5)@Sb⋅CH_(4O)(Sb^(3+)−1)does not emit light,(C_(25)H_(22)P)_(2)SnC_(l6)@Sb-α(Sb^(3+)−2α)shines bright yellow emission with a photoluminescence quantum yield(PLQY)of 92%,and(C_(25)H_(22)P)_(2)SnC_(l6)@Sb-β(Sb^(3+)−2β)exhibits intense red emission with a PLQY of 78%.The above three compounds show quite different optical properties should be due to their different crystal structures and the lattice ***,Sb^(3+)−1 can be successfully converted into Sb^(3+)−2αunder the treatment of C_(25)H_(22)PCl solution,accompanied by a transition from nonemission to efficient yellow emission,serving as a“turn-on”photoluminescence(PL)***,a reversible structure conversion between Sb^(3+)−2αand Sb^(3+)−2βwas witnessed after dichloromethane or volatilization treatment,accompanied by yellow and red emission ***,a triple-mode tunable PL switching of off-onI-onII can be constructed in Sb^(3+)-doped Sn(IV)-based ***,we demonstrated the as-synthesized compounds in fluorescent anticounterfeiting,information encryption,and optical logic gates.

Accurate cross sections of neutron induced fission reactions are required in the design of advanced nuclear systems and the development of fission *** projection chambers(TPCs),with their track reconstruction and particle identification capabilities,are considered the best detectors for high-precision fission cross section *** TPC developed by the back-streaming white neutron source(Back-n)team of the China Spallation Neutron Source(CSNS)was used as the fission fragment detector in *** this study,the cross sections of the ^(232)Th(n,f)reaction at five neutron energies in the 4.50−5.40 MeV region were *** fission fragments and α particles were well identified using our TPC,which led to a higher detection efficiency of the fission fragments and smaller uncertainty of the measured cross *** is the first measurement of the ^(232)Th(n,f)reaction using a TPC for the detection of fission *** uncertainties less than 5%,our cross sections are consistent with the data in different evaluation libraries,including JENDL-4.0,ROSFOND-2010,CENDL-3.2,ENDF/B-VⅢ.0,and BROND-3.1,whose uncertainties can be reduced after future improvement of the measurement.

Kagome magnets were predicted to be a good platform to investigate correlated topology band structure,Chern quantum phase,and geometrical frustration due to their unique lattice *** we reported single crystal growth of 166-type kagome magnetic materials,including HfMn_(6)Sn_(6),ZrMn_(6)Sn_(6),GdMn_(6)Sn_(6)and GdV_(6)Sn_(6),by using the flux method with Sn as the *** them,HfMn_(6)Sn_(6)and ZrMn_(6)Sn_(6)single crystals were grown for the first time.X-ray diffraction measurements reveal that all four samples crystallize in HfFe6Ge6-type hexagonal structure with space group P6/*** samples show metallic behavior from temperature dependence of resistivity measurements,and the dominant carrier is hole,except for GdV6Sn6 which is electron *** samples have magnetic order with different transition temperatures,HfMn_(6)Sn_(6),ZrMn_(6)Sn_(6)and GdV_(6)Sn_(6)are antiferromagnetic with TN of 541 K,466 K and 4 K respectively,while GdMn_(6)Sn_(6)is ferrimagnetic with the critical temperature of about 470 *** study will enrich the research platform of magnetic kagome materials and help explore the novel quantum phenomena in these interesting *** dataset of specific crystal structure parameters for HfMn_(6)Sn_(6)are available in Science Data Bank,with the link.

The elliptic azimuthal anisotropy coefficient(v_(2))of the identified particles at midrapidity(|η|ions at√s_(NN)=5.02 TeV using a multi-phase transport model(AMPT).The calculations of differential v_(2)based on the advanced flow extraction method of light flavor hadrons(pions,kaons,protons,andΛ)in small collision systems were extended to a wider transverse momentum(p_(T))range of up to 8 GeV/c for the first *** string-melting version of the AMPT model provides a good description of the measured p_(T)-differential v_(2)of the mesons but exhibits a slight deviation from the baryon v_(2).In addition,we observed the features of mass ordering at low p_(T)and the approximate number-of-constituentquark(NCQ)scaling at intermediate p_(T).Moreover,we demonstrate that hadronic rescattering does not have a significant impact on v_(2)in p-Pb collisions for different centrality selections,whereas partonic scattering dominates in generating the elliptic anisotropy of the final *** study provides further insight into the origin of collective-like behavior in small collision systems and has referential value for future measurements of azimuthal anisotropy.

Rapid detection of pathogens present on contaminated surfaces is crucial for food safety and public health due to the high morbidity and mortality of bacterial ***,a sensitive and efficient method for on-site identification of foodborne pathogens on anisotropic surfaces was developed by using an in situ instantaneously prepared surface-enhanced Raman scattering(SERS)*** achieve this,molybdenum-doped gallic acidderived carbon dots(MCDs)are utilized as the reductant for synthesizing Au@MCDs nanohybrids within just 3 s at ambient *** synergistic effect of the electromagnetic enhancement and charge transfer of Au@MCDs enables excellent SERS performance 10 times stronger than bare Au *** bioassay platform requires less than 5 min to complete the quantitative detection of foodborne pathogens on various microbial-contaminated interfaces with a sensitivity of 10 CFU/m *** innovative strategy breaks the long-standing limitations of SERS substrates in practical use,such as the time-consuming process,interference of residual surfactants,poor surface stability,and few application scenarios,providing a promising tool for widespread applications in biomedical research and clinical diagnostics.

The construction of a new beamline,BL10U1,was completed at the Shanghai synchrotron radiation facility in *** multipurpose beamline was designed to provide X-ray scattering techniques such as ultra-small-angle X-ray scattering(USAXS),small-angle X-ray scattering(SAXS),wide-angle X-ray scattering,and microfocus SAXS(μSAXS)for a broad user *** realize fast time-resolved USAXS experiments,the beamline adopted an in-vacuum undulator with a total length of 1.6 m as the photon *** in-house cryogenic-cooled double multilayer monochromator was installed to deliver a photon flux of approximately 10^(13) photons/s at a photon energy of 10 *** three-year successful operation of this beamline demonstrated that the monochromator operated smoothly,as ***10U1 has three end stations in succession:USAXS end station,μSAXS end station,and end station for industrial *** minimum scattering vector q~0.0042 nm^(-1) at 10 keV can be achieved at the USAXS end station equipped with a 28 m-long and 1.8 m-diameter vacuum flight *** theμSAXS end station,a beam spot of less than 10×8μm was achieved for micro-SAXS *** contrast,in situ experimental instruments up to 5 m high and 8 m wide can be mounted at the industrial application end station,which offers industrial scientists the opportunity to use their large industrial ***10U1 opens up a new capability to investigate phenomena such as non-equilibrium and dynamic processes of materials with a wide length scale from angstroms to micrometers with millisecond time *** this paper,we also report beamline design considerations and commissioning results.

By systematic theoretical calculations,we reveal an excitonic insulator(EI)in the Ta_(2)Pd_(3)Te_(5)*** bulk Ta_(2)Pd_(3)Te_(5)is a van der Waals(vdW)layered compound,whereas the vdW layer can be obtained through exfoliation or molecular-beam ***-principles calculations show that the monolayer is a nearly zero-gap semiconductor with the modified Becke–Johnson *** to the same symmetry of the band-edge states,the two-dimensional polarization 2D would be finite as the band gap goes to zero,allowing for an EI state in the *** the first-principles many-body perturbation theory,the GW plus Bethe–Salpeter equation calculation reveals that the exciton binding energy is larger than the single-particle band gap,indicating the excitonic *** computed phonon spectrum suggests that the monolayer is dynamically stable without lattice *** findings suggest that the Ta_(2)Pd_(3)Te_(5) monolayer is an excitonic insulator without structural distortion.
