Through the research on the existing C-MANTEC neural network and PID control technology, this paper presents an improved C-MANTEC algorithm based on PID control system. The combining of the artificial neural networks with conventional PID control helps in exploring their respective advantages to forming the intelligent PID control. From UCI Repository cancer dataset, the developed system is tested. The results show that the scheme can not only improve the speed of the algorithm in the training process but also improve the generalization capability of the network, which further enhances the performance of PID controllers. The overall power consumed is also reduced to a greater extent.

Classification model has received great attention in any domain of research and also a reliable tool for medical disease diagnosis. The domain of classification model is used in disease diagnosis, disease prediction, bio informatics, crime prediction and so on. However, an efficient disease diagnosis model was compromised the disease prediction. In this paper, a Rough Set Rule-based Multitude Classifier (RS-RMC) is developed to improve the disease prediction rate and enhance the class accuracy of disease being diagnosed. The RS-RMC involves two steps. Initially, a Rough Set model is used for Feature Selection aiming at minimizing the execution time for obtaining the disease feature set. A Multitude Classifier model is presented in second step for detection of heart disease and for efficient classification. The Na?ve Bayes Classifier algorithm is designed for efficient identification of classes to measure the relationship between disease features and improving disease prediction rate. Experimental analysis shows that RS-RMC is used to reduce the execution time for extracting the disease feature with minimum false positive rate compared to the state-of-the-art works.

This brief proposes an area and speed efficient implementation of symmetric finite impulse response (FIR) digital filter using reduced parallel look-up table (LUT) distributed arithmetic (DA) based approach. The complexity lying in the realization of FIR filter is dominated by the multiplier structure. This complexity grows further with filter order, which results in increased area, power, and reduced speed of operation. The speed of operation is improved over multiply-accumulate approach using multiplier less conventional DA based design and decomposed DA based design. Both the structure requires B clock cycles to get the filter output for the input width of B, which limits the speed of DA structure. This limitation is addressed using parallel LUTs, called high speed DA FIR, at the expense of additional hardware cost. With large number of taps, the number of LUTs and its size also becomes large. In the proposed method, by exploiting coefficient symmetry property, the number of LUTs in the decomposed DA form is reduced by a factor of about 2. This proposed approach is applied in high speed DA based FIR design, to obtain area and speed efficient structure. The proposed design offers around 40% less area and 53.98% less slice-delay product (SDP) than the high throughput DA based structure when it’s implemented over Xilinx Virtex-5 FPGA device-XC5VSX95T-1FF1136 for 16-tap symmetric FIR filter. The proposed design on the same FPGA device, supports up to 607 MHz input sampling frequency, and offers 60.5% more speed and 67.71% less SDP than the systolic DA based design.

Greenhouse system (GHS) is the worldwide fastest growing phenomenon in agricultural sector. Greenhouse models are essential for improving control efficiencies. The Relative Gain Analysis (RGA) reveals that the GHS control is complex due to 1) high nonlinear interactions between the biological subsystem and the physical subsystem and 2) strong coupling between the process variables such as temperature and humidity. In this paper, a decoupled linear cooling model has been developed using a feedback-feed forward linearization technique. Further, based on the model developed Internal Model Control (IMC) based Proportional Integrator (PI) controller parameters are optimized using Genetic Algorithm (GA) and Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) to achieve minimum Integral Square Error (ISE). The closed loop control is carried out using the above control schemes for set-point change and disturbance rejection. Finally, closed loop servo and servo-regulatory responses of GHS are compared quantitatively as well as qualitatively. The results implicate that IMC based PI controller using PSO provides better performance than the IMC based PI controller using GA. Also, it is observed that the disturbance introduced in one loop will not affect the other loop due to feedback-feed forward linearization and decoupling. Such a control scheme used for GHS would result in better yield in production of crops such as tomato, lettuce and broccoli.

Designing a multi-constrained QoS (Quality of service) communication protocol for mission-critical applications that seeks a path connecting source node and destination node that satisfies multiple QoS constrains such as energy cost, delay, and reliability imposes a great challenge in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs). In such challenging dynamic environment, traditional routing and layered infrastructure are inefficient and sometimes even infeasible. In recent research works, the opportunistic routing paradigm which delays the forwarding decision until reception of packets in forwarders by utilizing the broadcast nature of the wireless medium has been exploited to overcome the limitations of traditional routing. However, to guarantee the balance between the energy, delay and reliability requires the refinement of opportunistic routing through interaction between underlying layers known as cross-layer opportunistic routing. Indeed, these schemes fail to achieve optimal performance and hence require a new method to facilitate the adoption of the routing protocol to the dynamic challenging environments. In this paper, we propose a universal cross-layered opportunistic based communication protocol for WSNs for guaranteeing the user set constraints on multi-constrained QoS in low-duty-cycle WSN. Extensive simulation results show that the proposed work, Multi-Constrained QoS Opportunistic routing by optimal Power Tuning (MOR-PT) effectively achieves the feasible QoS trade-off constraints set by user by jointly considering the power control and selection diversity over established algorithms like DSF [1] and DTPC [2].

One of the most important challenges in the Wireless Sensor Networks is to improve the performance of the network by extending the lifetime of the sensor nodes. So the focus is on obtaining a trade-off between minimizing the delay involved and reducing the energy consumption of the sensor nodes which directly translate to an extended lifetime of the sensor nodes. An effective Sleep-wake scheduling mechanism can prolong the lifetime of the sensors by eliminating idle power listening, which could result in substantial delays. To counter this, an anycast forwarding scheme that could forward the packet opportunistically to the first awaken node may result in retransmissions as if the chosen node falls in resource constraints. The algorithm, namely Prim’s-Dual is proposed to solve the said problem. The algorithm considers five crucial parameters, namely the residual energy of the nodes, transmission power, receiving power, packet loss rate, interference from which the next hop is determined to extend the lifetime of the sensor node. Since the proposed work is framed keeping critical event monitoring in mind, the sleep-wake scheduling is modified as low-power, high-power scheduling where all nodes are in low-power and the nodes needed for data transmission are respectively turned on to high-power mode. The integrated framework provides several opportunities for performance enhancement for conflict-free transmissions. The aim of our algorithm is to show reliable, energy efficient transfer without compromising on lifetime and delay. The further effectiveness of the protocol is verified. The results demonstrate that the proposed protocol can efficiently handle network scalability with acceptable latency and overhead.

Very small superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles （VSOPs） rapidly accumulate in atherosclerotic lesions, thereby enabling plaque visualization by magnetic resonance imaging （MRI）. This study was performed to identify the uptake mechanisms of VSOPs into atherosclerotic plaques. Low-density lipoprotein receptor-deficient （LDLR^-/-） mice with advanced atherosclerosis were analyzed using MRI and transmission electron microscopy （TEM） at various time points after intravenous administration of VSOPs. Post-mortem MRI detected VSOP labeling of atherosclerotic plaques 10 min after injection, and the signal increased over the first 3 h. TEM revealed that the intensive plaque labeling was mediated by accelerated transcytosis of VSOPs through endothelial cells overlaying atherosclerotic lesions. Experiments with endocytosis inhibitors and small interfering RNA （siRNA） revealed a dynamin-dependent mechanism involving both clathrin- and caveolin-mediated processes. In cell culture experiments, endothelial VSOP uptake was enhanced under proatherogenic flow and TNFα stimulation, conditions that are both present in plaque areas. Our study demonstrates that VSOPs enable non-invasive MRI assessment of accelerated endothelial transcytosis, an important pathomechanism in atherosclerotic plaque formation.

AIM： To systematically examine the extent of correlation of risk factors, such as age, consumed dietary habit and familial predisposition with somatic Tp53 molecular lesion causal to elevate carcinogenesis severity of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma （ESCC） among the Kashmiri population of Northern India. METHODS： All cases （n = 51） and controls （n = 150） were permanent residents of the Kashmir valley. Genetic alterations were determined in exons 5-8 of Tp53 tumor suppressor gene among 45 ESCC cases histologically confirmed by PCR-SSCP analysis. Data for individual cancer cases （n = 45） and inpatient controls （n = 150） with non-cancer disease included information on family history of cancer, thirty prevailing common dietary risk factors along with patient＇s age group. Correlation of genetic lesion in p53 exons to animistic data from these parameters was generated by Chi-square test to all 45 histologically confirmed ESCC cases along with healthy controls.RESULTS： Thirty-five of 45 （77.8%） histologically characterized tumor samples had analogous somatic mutation as opposed to 1 of 45 normal sample obtained from adjacent region from the same patient showed gerrnline mutation. The SSCP analysis demonstrated that most common p53 gene alterations were found in exon 6 （77.7%）, that did not correlate with the age of the individual and clinicopathological parameters but showed significant concordance （P 〈 0.05） with familial history of cancer （CD = 58）, suggesting germline predisposition at an unknown locus, and dietary habit of consuming locally grown Brassica vegetable ＂Hakh＂（CD = 19.5）, red chillies （CD = 20.2）, hot salty soda tea （CD = 2.37） and local baked bread （CD = 1.1）. CONCLUSION： Our study suggests that somatic chromosomal mutations, especially in exon 6 of Tp53 gene, among esophageal cancer patients of an ethnically homogenous population of Kashmir valley are closely related to continued exposure to various common dietary risk factors, especially hot sa
