Nowadays an alternate source of filler from renewable and plant derivatives are being thought of in rubber industries due to their reliability,environmental and economic *** Husk Ash(RHA)a byproduct of the rice milling industry is obtained on partial and as well as full combustion of the rice *** ash is a good source of silica,silicates and needle shaped carbon and hence can be used as filler for *** the present study,a detailed investigation was carried out to understand the RHA as reinforcing material using mechanical properties and fractography using *** rubbers studied were natural rubber(NR),poly chloroprene(CR)and ethylene propylene diene monomer(EPDM).Interestingly,the RHA added NR stock on open mill mixing generated considerable amount of static *** properties of NR were found to be as good as regular *** compounds behaved well during *** the properties were found to be ***-RHA compounds were found to result in higher viscosity and the properties were not as *** SEM studies showed surprisingly cohesive failure as evidenced with the presence of flow lines and the fibrous filler(RHA)remains embedded in the matrix regardless of the chemistry of the repeating unit,NR,EPDM and the chlorine containing monomer inCR.

The sentiment of a text depends on the clausal structure of the sentence and the connectives’discourse *** this work,the clause boundary,discourse argument,and syntactic and semantic information of the sentence are used to assign the text’s *** clause boundaries identify the span of the text,and the discourse connectives identify the *** the lexicon-based analysis of traditional sentiment analysis gives the wrong sentiment of the sentence,a deeper-level semantic analysis is required for the correct analysis of ***,in this study,explicit connectives in Malayalam are considered to identify the discourse arguments.A supervised method,conditional random fields,is used to identify the clause boundary and discourse *** the study,1,000 sentiment sentences from Malayalam documents were *** results show that the discourse structure integration considerably improves sentiment analysis performance from the baseline system.

Biodiesel fuel is found to be a promising alternative for the petroleum diesel based on the results published by the researchers for a *** fuel is renewable and non degradable *** countries use biodiesel fuel for automotives to meet the crisis due to the depletion of the petroleum fuel and to meet the stringent emission norms Various researches have been carried out with different biodiesel fuels with vegetable oil as the source and appreciable results were *** biodiesel fuels which have been already tested are Jatropha,Pongamia,Mahua,neem,cotton seed,*** this experimental work,Adelfa biodiesel blend is used as the test *** emission and performance characteristics were compared with three other different biodiesel fuel *** results imply that Adelfa biodiesel(Nerium oil methyl ester)can be a futuristic biodiesel fuel,which has a good compatibility with the direct injection(DI)diesel engine without any major ***,Adelfa can be cultivated in a non agricultural land with fewer sources of *** is widely spread over all major countries of *** investigations have been carried out on a single cylinder DI diesel engine with standard engine *** this experimental work,various Adelfa biodiesel blends is compared with reference fuel(diesel)to choose the best blend which gives a closer performance to *** comparative analysis with other biodiesel fuels has also been done and results have been discussed.

Analysis of EMD Algorithm for Identification and Extraction of An Acoustic Signal in Underwater Channel Against Wind Driven Ambient Noise

Sonar generated acoustic signals transmitted in underwater channel for distant communications are affected by numerous factors like ambient noise, making them nonlinear and non-stationary in nature. In recent years, the application of Empirical Mode Decomposition(EMD) technique to analyze nonlinear and non-stationary signals has gained much attention. It is an empirical approach to decompose a signal into a set of oscillatory modes known as intrinsic mode functions(IMFs). In general, Hilbert transform is used in EMD for the identification of oscillatory signals. In this paper a new EMD algorithm is proposed using FFT to identify and extract the acoustic signals available in the underwater channel that are corrupted due to various ambient noises over a range of 100 Hz to 10 kHz in a shallow water region. Data for analysis are collected at a depth of 5 m and 10 m offshore Chennai at the Bay of Bengal. The algorithm is validated for different sets of known and unknown reference signals. It is observed that the proposed EMD algorithm identifies and extracts the reference signals against various ambient noises. Significant SNR improvement is also achieved for underwater acoustic signals.

The paper describes a novel mathematical model to study the physics of fully ionized plasma flow through MPD thrusters otherwise known as magnetoplasmadynamic *** developed model consists of a set of differential equations obtained by coupling the Navier–Stokes equations with Maxwell’s *** model developed was tested for various 1D and 1.5D *** simulations have been carried out for a special case of geometries called Tikhonov fitted geometries for alleviating the instability phenomenon commonly known as onset phenomenon in self-field MPD *** work was also extended to applied field MPD thrusters.A new equation for magnetic field was introduced to incorporate a virtual *** the computations were carried out using a higher order integration *** results obtained were found to be in good agreement with the previous work done on similar models.

Acoustic emission （AE） can be used for in situ structural health monitoring of the composite laminates. One of the main issues of AE is to characterize different damage mechanisms from the detected AE signals. In the present work, pure resin and GFRP composites laminates with different stacking sequences such as 0°, 90°, angle ply[±45°], cross-ply [0°/90°] are used to trigger different failure mechanisms when subjected to tensile test with AE monitoring. The study of failure mechanisms is facilitated by the choice of different oriented specimens in which one or two such mechanisms predominate. Range of peak frequencies in each orientation is investigated using FFT analysis. Fast Fourier Transform （FFT） enabled calculating the frequency content of each damage mechanism. Randomly selected hits from each range of peak frequencies for the specimens with different orientations subjected to tensile test with AE monitoring are analyzed using short time FFT （STFFT） analysis. STFFT analysis is used to highlight the possible failure mechanism associated with each signal. The predominance of failure modes in each orientation is useful in the study of discrimination of failure modes in composite laminates from AE data.

The current research work proposed a novel optimization-based 2D-SIMM(Two-Dimensional Sine Iterative chaotic map with inﬁnite collapse Mod-ulation Map)model for image *** proposed 2D-SIMM model is derived out of sine map and Iterative Chaotic Map with Inﬁnite Collapse(ICMIC).In this technique,scrambling effect is achieved with the help of Chaotic Shift Transform(CST).Chaotic Shift Transform is used to change the value of pixels in the input image while the substituted value is cyclically shifted according to the chaotic sequence generated by 2D-SIMM *** chaotic sequences,generated using 2D-SIMM model,are sensitive to initial *** the proposed algorithm,these initial conditions are optimized using JAYA optimization *** coefﬁcient and entropy are considered asﬁtness functions in this study to evaluate the best solution for initial *** simulation results clearly shows that the proposed algorithm achieved a better performance over existing *** addition,the VLSI implementation of the proposed algorithm was also carried out using Xilinx system *** optimization,the correlation coefﬁcient was-0.014096 and without optimization,it was 0.002585.

Automatic Segmentation of Liver from Abdominal Computed Tomography Images Using Energy Feature

Liver Segmentation is one of the challenging tasks in detecting and classifying liver tumors from Computed Tomography(CT)*** segmentation of hepatic organ is more intricate task,owing to the fact that it possesses a sizeable quantum of *** paper proposes an algorithm for automatic seed point selection using energy feature for use in level set algorithm for segmentation of liver region in CT *** effectiveness of the method can be determined when used in a model to classify the liver CT images as tumorous or *** involves segmentation of the region of interest(ROI)from the segmented liver,extraction of the shape and texture features from the segmented ROI and classification of the ROIs as tumorous or not by using a classifier based on the extracted *** this work,the proposed seed point selection technique has been used in level set algorithm for segmentation of liver region in CT scans and the ROIs have been extracted using Fuzzy C Means clustering(FCM)which is one of the algorithms to segment the *** dataset used in this method has been collected from various repositories and scan *** outcome of this proposed segmentation model has reduced the area overlap error that could offer the intended accuracy and *** gives better results when compared with other existing *** execution in short span of time is another advantage of this method which in turns helps the radiologist to ascertain the abnormalities instantly.
