The research proposes a simulation model combined with smart optimizer based onArtificial Intelligence techniques, in order to support service and maintenance of poolswithin Complex Systems, such as power plants or vessel/aircraft *** authors propose an innovative methodology allowing the evaluation and theoptimization of service and maintenance policies in order to improve inventory management and scheduling operations within complex systems. This methodology is based onthe development of a simulator combined with an intelligent *** authors proposed a new metrics to evaluate the real performance of pool servicemanagement of the whole complex system and support the optimization processes.

Several studies have been performed adjusting the levels of dietary digestible protein and digestible energy for tilapia,but none of them was performed in biofloc technology(BFT)system,especially in brackish(10)*** this sense,three levels of digestible protein(22,26 and 30%DP)and three levels of digestible energy(3000,3150 and 3300 kcal DE/kg)were evaluated on growth performance,body composition,hematological parameters and planktonic community in juveniles of Nile tilapia(***)raised under BFT conditions.A total of 540 tilapia fingerlings(GIFT strain with 1.25±0.15 g initial weight)were reared during 42 days in thirty-six plastic tanks(75 L),fed three times a *** interaction was detected in the parameters *** fish fed with feed containing 26%and 30%of DP obtained higher final weight,specific growth rate and condition factor as compared to those fed with 22%of DP(P<0.05).Body protein on tilapia carcass increased proportionally according to dietary *** higher dietary energy level promoted a higher body lipid *** to hematological parameters fish from all treatments presented a satisfactory immunological *** monitoring of planktonic community indicated a variation over time,specially on the number of dinoflagellates,rotifers and *** results indicated that diets containing 26%of DP and 3150 kcal/kg of DE for Nile tilapia juveniles promoted suitable growth performance and health conditions when reared in biofloc brackish water,and enabled savings in regards to dietary protein once the energy levels were adjusted.

High-level continuous systems simulation languages are application-oriented software systems designed to assist Engineers and Scientists to mathematically model and analyze the behavior of piecewise-continuous systems described by differential equations. For the system analyst, these languages provide a straight forward, easy to use analytical tool for the simulation of dynamic systems. Powerful systems-oriented functions coupled with extensive man-machine inter-active capabilities allow the user to concentrate on his/her simulation studies with minimal burden from the computer system. Computer Simulation can be used to represent in great detail the performance of "real world" systems which are often very complex (e.g. space craft, control systems, mechanical and electrical systems, etc.) and simulation may be used as an aid to design, to diagnose the cause of system malfunction, to evaluate performance under fault conditions, for operator training, as embedded systems for predictive control, or to gain a deeper understanding of the dynamics of an existing or proposed dynamic system.

Assessing Naturalness Changes Resulting from a Historical Land Use in Brazil South Region: An Analysis of the 1986-2016 Period

The effects of land use and cover changes and the application of the Urbanity Index were analyzed to identify critical or non-critical naturalness scenery in the Northern Region of Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil), over a period of 30 years. Between 1986 and 2016, the main significant land use change was the reduction of the agricultural anthropic and the increase of the natural vegetation land use areas. About 90% - 80% of the total study areas were characterized by anthropic pattern features, with a predominantly agricultural matrix. The conversion of agricultural anthropic into natural areas resulted in increased naturalness landscape and a gain in the stock of natural capital. The increase in the natural vegetation area, mainly to the north and east of the region, set in a steep relief, became remarkable after 1990. The Urbanity Index values evidenced a highest naturalness condition (natural vegetation areas) to the northern and eastern, while a smaller naturalness condition (agricultural and non-agricultural areas) to the southern and western and central of the Northern Region of Rio Grande do Sul. These changes are related to a non-impaired (northern and eastern) and a impaired scenery (southern, western and central portion) of the ecological sustainability of the Northern Region of Rio Grande do Sul, after a 30-year period (1986-2016). These results pointed out that land use transitions resulted in a consolidated farming scenario in which agricultural intensification coincided with the reduction of farming area and increased naturalness as a reverse trend to the agricultural frontier dynamics.
