In this paper,we study a second-order accurate and linear numerical scheme for the nonlocal CahnHilliard *** scheme is established by combining a modified Crank-Nicolson approximation and the Adams-Bashforth extrapolation for the temporal discretization,and by applying the Fourier spectral collocation to the spatial *** addition,two stabilization terms in different forms are added for the sake of the numerical *** conduct a complete convergence analysis by using the higher-order consistency estimate for the numerical scheme,combined with the rough error estimate and the refined *** regarding the numerical solution as a small perturbation of the exact solution,we are able to justify the discrete?^(∞)bound of the numerical solution,as a result of the rough error ***,the refined error estimate is derived to obtain the optimal rate of convergence,following the established?∞bound of the numerical ***,the energy stability is also rigorously proved with respect to a modified *** proposed scheme can be viewed as the generalization of the second-order scheme presented in an earlier work,and the energy stability estimate has greatly improved the corresponding result therein.

The effect of plant type on n-alkane biomarker has been widely studied,but the influence of plant type on n-alkanoic acids(n-FAs)has received less *** the effect of the distribution of n-FAs and their hydrogen isotope composition(δ^(2)H_(FA))is critical for interpreting sedimentaryδ^(2)H_(FA)values as proxies of hydroclimate and/or vegetation *** this study,we systematically investigated the distribution ofn-FAs andδ^(2)H_(FA)values across seasons on the chinese Loess Plateau(CLP).Our results showed that there were no significant seasonal differences in n-FAs distribution andδ^(2)H_(FA)values,but there were significant differences inδ^(2)H_(FA)values across plant ***δ^(2)H_(FA)values ranged from-185‰to-125‰in dicots(-161‰±28‰),and from-215‰to-170‰in monocots(-196‰±22‰)on the *** fractionation betweenδ^(2)H_(FA)values and precipitationδ^(2)H(ε_(FA-P))was also^(2)H-enriched in dicots relative to *** the regional scale of the CLP,δ^(2)H_(FA)values were not correlated withδ^(2)H values of ***,δ^(2)H_(FA)values from the CLP were similar to expectations from a global comparison,both in terms of their mean values and high variability among plants growing in sites with similarδ^(2)H values of *** some of this variability inεFA-Pis due to the effect of plant type,a careful assessment of the likely sources of waxes in terrestrial sediments is critical when usingδ^(2)H_(FA)values for paleohydroclimate reconstruction.

Fireworks(FW)could significantly worsen air quality in short term during *** to similar tracers with biomass burning(BB),the fast and precise qualification of FW and BB is still *** this study,online bulk and single-particle measurements were combined to investigate the contributions of FW and BB to the overall mass concentrations of PM_(2.5)and specific chemical species by positive matrix factorization(PMF)during the chinese New Year in hong kong in February *** combined information,fresh/aged FW(abundant ^(140)K_(2)NO_(3)^(+)and ^(213)K_(3)SO_(4)^(+)formed from ^(113)K_(2)Cl^(+)discharged by fresh FW)can be extracted from the fresh/aged BB sources,in addition to the Second Aerosol,Vehicles+Road Dust,and Sea Salt *** contributions of FW and BB were investigated during three high particle matter episodes influenced by the pollution transported from the Pearl River Delta *** fresh BB/FW contributed 39.2%and 19.6%to PM_(2.5)during the Lunar chinese New Year ***,the contributions of aged FW/BB enhanced in the last two episodes due to the aging process,evidenced by high contributions from secondary ***,the fresh BB/FW showed more significant contributions to nitrate(35.1%and15.0%,respectively)compared with sulfate(25.1%and 5.9%,respectively)and OC(14.8%and11.1%,respectively)on *** comparison,the aged FW contributed more to sulfate(13.4%).Overall,combining online bulk and single-particle measurement data can combine both instruments’advantages and provide a new perspective for applying source apportionment of aerosols using PMF.

Microstructures, Fabrics, and Seismic Properties of Mylonitic Amphibolites: Implications for Strain Localization in a Thickening Anisotropic Middle Crust of the North China Craton

Strain localization processes in the continental crust generate faults and ductile shear zones over a broad range of scales affecting the long-term lithosphere deformation and the mechanical response of faults during the seismic *** anisotropy originated within the continental crust can be applied to deduce the kinematics and structures within orogens and is widely attributed to regionally aligned minerals,e.g.,***,naturally deformed rocks commonly show various structural layers(e.g.,strain localization layers).It is necessary to reveal how both varying amphibole contents and fabrics in the structural layers of strain localization impact seismic property and its interpretations in terms of *** present microstructures,petrofabrics,and calculate seismic properties of deformed amphibolite with the microstructures ranging from mylonite to *** transition from mylonite to ultramylonite is accompanied by a slight decrease of amphibole grain size,a disintegration of amphibole and plagioclase aggregates,and amphibole aspect ratio increase(from 1.68 to 2.23),concomitant with the precipitation of feldspar and/or quartz between amphibole *** intensities of amphibole crystallographic preferred orientations(CPOs)show a progressively increasing trend from mylonitic layers to homogeneous ultramylonitic layers,as indicated by the JAm index increasing from 1.9–4.0 for the mylonitic layers and 4.0–4.8 for the transition layer,to 5.1–6.9 for the ultramylonitic *** CPO patterns are nearly random for plagioclase and *** amphibole aggregates in the amphibolitic mylonite deform by diffusion,mechanical rotation,and weak dislocation creep,and develop CPOs *** polymineralic matrix(such as quartz and plagioclase)of the mylonite and the ultramylonite deform dominantly by dissolution-precipitation,combined with weak dislocation *** mean P and S wave velocities are estimated to be 6.3 and 3.5 km/

Background:Previously published meta-epidemiological studies focused on Western medicine have identified some trial characteristics that impact the treatment effect of randomized controlled trials(RCTs).Nevertheless,it remains unclear if similar associations exist in RCTs on chinese herbal medicine(CHM).Further,chinese medicine-related characteristics have not been explored ***:To investigate trial characteristics related to treatment effect estimates on CHM *** strategy:This meta-epidemiological study searched 5 databases for systematic reviews on CHM treatment published between January 2011 and July *** criteria:An eligible systematic review should only include RCTs of CHM and conduct at least one *** extraction and analysis:Two reviewers independently conducted data extraction on general characteristics of systematic reviews,meta-analyses and included *** also assessed the risk of bias of RCTs using the Cochrane risk of bias tool.A two-step approach was used for data *** ratio of odds ratios(ROR) and difference in standardized mean differences (dSmd) with 95%confidence interval (CI) were applied to present the difference in effect estimates for binary and continuous outcomes,***:Ninety-one systematic reviews,comprising 1338 RCTs were *** binary outcomes,RCTs incorporated with syndrome differentiation (ROR:1.23;95%CI:[1.07,1.39]),adopting chinese medicine formula (ROR:1.19;95%CI:[1.03,1.34]),with low risk of bias on incomplete outcome data (ROR:1.29;95%CI:[1.06,1.52]) and selective outcome reporting (ROR:1.12;95%CI:[1.01,1.24]),as well as a trial size≥100 (ROR:1.23;95%CI:[1.04,1.42]) preferred to show larger effect *** for continuous outcomes,RCTs with chinese medicine diagnostic criteria (dSmd:0.23;95%CI:[0.06,0.41]),judged as high/unclear risk of bias on allocation concealment (dSmd:-0.70;95%CI:[-0.99,-0.42]),with low risk of bias on incomplete outcome data (dSmd:0.30

Constructing charge transfer(CT)state by introducing donor(D)and acceptor(A)is an efficient strategy to regulate the photophysical properties of luminescent *** CT-type luminophores are built onπ-conjugated fused-ring structures,which always show hybrid CT/locally excited(LE)states and luminescence quenching effect in the aggregate *** this work,eight conjugated biphenyl(BP)and nonconjugated diphenylmethane(DPM)derivatives with different donors and acceptors are synthesized to investigate the CT *** photophysical characterization and theoretical calculation demonstrate that the through-space CT(TSCT)in nonconjugated DA-DPM exhibit superior photophysical performance than the conjugated DA-BP with through-bond CT(TBCT),the main manifestations are as follows:(1)TSCT luminophores produce longer maximum emission wavelength(λ_(em))than the corresponding TBCT *** example,the longest λ_(em)of DMA-CN-DPM(DMA,dimethylamino)is 621 nm but the corresponding λ_(em)of DMA-CN-BP is only 480 nm.(2)TSCT-based DA-DPM demonstrates more sensitive responsiveness to environmental stimuli such as temperature and polarity.(3)Complete separation of the the highest occupied molecular orbital(HOMO)and the lowest unoccupied molecular orbital(LUMO)distribution exists in all kinds of conformation of DA-DPM,which was hard to realize in conjugated DA-BP.

Magnetic field regression using artificial neural networks for cold atom experiments

Accurately measuring magnetic fields is essential for magnetic-field sensitive experiments in areas like atomic,molecular,and optical physics,condensed matter experiments,and other ***,since many experiments are often conducted in an isolated environment that is inaccessible to experimentalists,it can be challenging to accurately determine the magnetic field at the target ***,we propose an efficient method for detecting magnetic fields with the assistance of an artificial neural network(NN).Instead of measuring the magnetic field directly at the desired location,we detect fields at several surrounding positions,and a trained NN can accurately predict the magnetic field at the target *** training,we achieve a below 0.3%relative prediction error of magnetic field magnitude at the center of the vacuum chamber,and successfully apply this method to our erbium quantum gas apparatus for accurate calibration of magnetic field and long-term monitoring of environmental stray magnetic *** demonstrated approach significantly simplifies the process of determining magnetic fields in isolated environments and can be applied to various research fields across a wide range of magnetic field magnitudes.
