The current lack of high-precision information on subsurface seawater is a constraint in fishery *** on Argo temperature and salinity profiles,this study applied the gradient-dependent optimal interpolation to reconstruct daily subsurface oceanic environmental information according to fishery dates and *** relationship between subsurface information and matching yellowfin tuna(YFT)in the western and central Pacific Ocean(WCPO)was examined using catch data from January 1,2008 to August 31,*** seawater temperature and salinity results showed differences of less than±0.5°C and±0.01 compared with the truth observations *** analysis revealed that the most suitable temperature for YFT fishery was 28–29°C at the *** most suitable salinity range for YFT fishery was 34.5–36.0 at depths shallower than 300 *** suitable upper and lower bounds on the depths of the thermocline were 90–100 m and 300–350 m,*** thermocline characteristics were prominent,with a mean temperature gradient exceeding 0.08°C/*** results indicate that the profiles constructed by gradient-dependent optimal interpolation were more accurate than those of the nearest profiles adopted.

The development of GPS(Global Positioning System) technology has led to increasingly widely and successful applications of GPS surveys for monitoring crustal movements. However, multi-period GPS survey solutions have not been applied in monitoring vertical crustal movements with normal backgrounds. In this paper, we carried out a comparative study on the vertical deformation of the comprehensive profile of the cross-fault zone in Shanyin, Shanxi province, China, based on GPS and precise leveling observation data for multiple time periods. The vertical deformation rates observed with repeating GPS survey are obviously different(over 20 mm/y at some sites) from those with repeating leveling survey within a relatively short period. However, the deviations in the vertical displacement between GPS and leveling in a long-term survey(over three years) showed good consistency at 3-4 mm/y at most sites, on GPS forced offset surveying and fixed survey instruments in a long-term survey(over three years). Therefore, GPS vertical displacement results can be applied to the study of vertical crustal movements.

Faults and fractures of multiple scales are frequently induced and generated in compressional structural system. Comprehensive identification of these potential faults and fractures that cannot be distinguished directly from seismic profile of the complex structures is still an unanswered problem. Based on the compressional structural geometry and kinematics theories as well as the structural interpretation from seismic data, a set of techniques is established for the identification of potential faults and fractures in compressional structures. Firstly, three-dimensional(3D) patterns and characteristics of the faults directly interpreted from seismic profile were illustrated by 3D structural model. Then, the unfolding index maps, the principal structural curvature maps, and tectonic stress field maps were obtained from structural restoration. Moreover, potential faults and fractures in compressional structures were quantitatively identified relying on comprehensive analysis of these three maps. Successful identification of the potential faults and fractures in Mishrif limestone formation and in Asmari dolomite formation of Buzurgan anticline in Iraq demonstrates the applicability and reliability of these techniques.

Nowadays,healthcare applications necessitate maximum volume of medical data to be fed to help the physicians,academicians,pathologists,doctors and other healthcare *** in the domain of Wireless Sensor Networks(WSN)andMultimediaWireless Sensor Networks(MWSN)are tremendous.M-WMSN is an advanced form of conventional Wireless Sensor Networks(WSN)to networks that use multimedia *** compared with traditional WSN,the quantity of data transmission in M-WMSN is significantly high due to the presence of multimedia ***,clustering techniques are deployed to achieve low amount of energy *** current research work aims at introducing a new Density Based Clustering(DBC)technique to achieve energy efficiency *** DBC technique is mainly employed for data collection in healthcare environment which primarily depends on three input parameters namely remaining energy level,distance,and node *** addition,two static data collector points called Super Cluster Head(SCH)are placed,which collects the data from normal CHs and forwards it to the Base Station(BS)*** supports multi-hop data transmission that assists in effectively balancing the available *** simulation analysiswas conducted to showcase the superior performance of DBC technique and the results were examined under diverse *** simulation outcomes concluded that the proposed DBC technique improved the network lifetime to a maximum of 16,500 rounds,which is significantly higher compared to existing methods.

Prognostics and health management （PHM） is very important to guarantee the reliability and safety of aerospace systems, and sensing and test are the precondition of PHM. Integrating design for testability into early design stage of system early design stage is deemed as a fundamental way to improve PHM performance, and testability model is the base of testability analysis and design. This paper discusses a hierarchical model-based approach to testability modeling and analysis for heading attitude system health management. Quantified directed graph, of which the nodes represent components and tests and the directed edges represent fault propagation paths, is used to describe fault-test dependency, and quantitative testability information is assigned to nodes and directed edges. The fault dependencies between nodes can be obtained by functional fault analysis methodology that captures the physical architecture and material flows such as energy, heat, data, and so on. By incorporating physics of failure models into component, the dynamic process of a failing or degrading component can be projected onto system behavior, i.e., system symptoms. Then, the analysis of extended failure modes, mechanisms and effects is utilized to construct fault evolution-test dependency. Using this integrated model, the designers and system analysts can assess the test suite＇s fault detectability, fault isolability and fault predictability. And heading attitude system application results show that the proposed model can support testability analysis and design for PHM very well.

A drought event can cause yield loss or entire crops to *** order to study the effects of continuous drought on physiological characteristics,yield,and water use efficiency(WUE)of winter wheat(Triticum aestivum L.),the variety“Zhoumai 22”was grown in controlled water conditions of the pot-planted winter wheat under a mobile rainout *** planting and safe wintering were used to evaluate,winter wheat under different drought conditions,including light,moderate and severe drought at the jointing,heading,and filling *** soil water content was controlled at 60–70%,50–60%,or 40–50%of field *** trials included 3 pre-anthesis drought hardening,3 three-stage continuous drought,and 1 test control *** drought stress conditions,winter wheat leaf water potential,soil plant analysis development(SPAD),photosynthesis parameters,and yield declined due to pre-anthesis drought *** the degree of decline:continuous drought>pre-anthesis drought *** in the post-anthesis photosynthetic capacity of winter wheat were mainly related to the pre-anthesis drought level,rather than post-anthesis *** threshold of non-stomata limiting factors caused by photosynthesis at the filling stage is 40–50%FC,while comprehensive yield and WUE affected,the yield in severe drought treatments was the most significant,B3C3 and B3C3G3 decreased by 55.68%and 55.88%,***-anthesis drought was the main reason for the decreased crop ***,severe drought should be avoided during planting,while pre-anthesis light drought is a suitable choice for watersaving and crop production,as proper pre-anthesis drought hardening(60–70%FC)is feasible and effective.

Effects of Multi-Stage Continuous Drought on Photosynthetic Characteristics, Yield and Water Use Efficiency of Winter Wheat

A drought event can cause entire crops to fail or yield *** order to study the effects of continuous drought on photosynthetic characteristics,yield,and water use efficiency(WUE)of winter wheat(Triticum aestivum L.),the winter wheat variety“Aikang 58”was selected as test material with controlling the water of the pot-planted winter wheat under a mobile rainout *** on foot planting and safe wintering,winter wheat was evaluated under different drought conditions,including light,moderate and severe drought at the jointing(B),heading(C),and filling(G)*** soil water content was controlled in a range of 60%to 70%,50%to 60%,and 40%to 50%of the field capacity,*** the experiment,there were 9 single-stage droughts,3 three-stage droughts,and 1 test control(totaling 13 trials).The results are as follows:Under a single-stage drought,the change of net photosynthetic rate(Pn)and stomatal conductance(Gs)have similar trends,and they both decrease significantly with the severity of the *** three-stage continuous droughts,the change curve of Gs shows a constant downward trend;the change curve of Pn showed a“valley shape,”and the minimum value of Pn appeared at the heading *** droughts will reduce the yield of winter *** the three-stage continuous drought conditions,except for light drought,moderate drought and severe drought will cause significant yield reduction,mainly due to lack of water at the jointing and heading *** drought will reduce the WUE,and the difference will reach a significant level under moderate and severe *** present results suggested that when water resources are scarce,it is a better irrigation model to save water and achieve high grain yield by applying appropriate water stress(60%–70%FC)during the critical growth period of winter wheat.
