Multifunctional polyeugenol-based nanoparticles with antioxidant and antibacterial properties

Over the past few decades,extensive scientific has been dedicated to polymer synthesis employing renewable *** this study,we devised and synthesized multifunctional polyeugenol-based nanoparticles,exhibiting remarkable antioxidant and antibacterial *** grafting of eugenol onto the nanoparticle surface was achieved via a thiol-ene chemical reaction with a grafting rate of 3.5%.To comprehend the properties of the synthesized nanoparticles,we employed Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and pyrolysis-gas chromatography mass *** scanning electron microscopic and transmission electron microscopic analyses revealed the presence of a crosslinked structure within the polyeugenol-based nanoparticles,as well as a heteroge-neous microsphere structure on the *** to the inherent crosslinking structure,the polyeugenol-based nanoparticles demonstrated robust the resistance to solvents,as ascertained through thermog-ravimetric analysis and solvent resistance ***,nitrogen adsorption/desorption studies confirmed the adsorption capacity of the polyeugenol-based nanoparticles,rendering them potentially suitable for drug transport ***,the assays for assessing cytocompatibility and reactive oxygen species scavenging activities demonstrated better performance of the eugenol-based nano-particles compared to ***,the polyeugenol-based nanoparticles exhibited certain bactericidal activities against Escherichia coli,Staphylococcus aureus,and Fusobacterium ***,these observations indicated the nontoxic nature and expansive application prospects of the polyeugenol-based nanoparticles in the domains of medicine and food *** work presented a pioneering concept for the development of antioxidant and antibacterial multifunctional polymer materials derived from eugenol.

In this editorial,we comment on the recent article by Fei et al exploring the field of near-infrared spectroscopy(NIRS)research in schizophrenia from a bibliometrics *** recent years,NIRS has shown unique advantages in the auxiliary diagnosis of schizophrenia,and the introduction of bibliometrics has provided a macro perspective for research in this *** the opportunities brought about by these technological developments,remaining challenges require multidi-sciplinary approach to devise a reliable and accurate diagnosis system for ***,NIRS-assisted technology is expected to contribute to the division of methods for early intervention and treatment of schizophrenia.

Treatment of compost leachate by the combination of coagulation and membrane process

This study describes the treatment of composting leachate by the combination of coagulation and nanofiltration process. Poly ferric sulfate （PSF） was used as coagulant, and the effect of pH value and PSF dosage on the coagulation performance was investigated. The results indicated that the chemical oxidation demand （COD） and turbidity removal efficiency could reach to 62.8% and 75.3%, respectively at an optimum dosage of 1200 mg·L-1 at pH 6,0. During the nanofiltration process, the operation conditions such as temperature and pressure were optimized, 89.7% of COD, 78.2% of TOC, 72,5% of TN, 83,2% of TP, and 78,6% of NH3-N were retained when tested at 0.6 MPa at 25 ℃. The final leachate effluent concentration of COD, BODs, NH3-N, TOC, SS was 92 mg.L 1, 31 mg,L 1 21 mg.L 1, 73 mg·L-1 and 23 mg·L -1, respectively, which reached the local discharge standard. The combination of coagulation-filtration is useful for composting leachate treatment.

The title compound, [Cu（dpa）（2,2＇-bipy）（H2O）2]n 1 （H2dpa = diphenic acid and 2,2＇- bipy = 2,2＇-bipyridine）, has been synthesized and its structure was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The crystal is of orthorhombic, space group P212121 with a = 10.597（4）, b = 11.317（4）, c = 17.630（7）A, V = 2114.3（14）A^3, C24H20CuN2O6, Mr = 495.97, Z = 4, Dc = 1.558 g/cm^3, μ = 1.079 mm^-1, F（000） = 1020, Flack value = 0.052（18）, R = 0.0430 and wR = 0.1016 for 3381 observed reflections （Ⅰ 〉 2σ（Ⅰ））. In compound 1, the dpa ligands link metal ions into helical structures in the same direction.

The Suzuki-Miyaura type coupling reaction of aryl halides with triphenylborane-pyridine was described. The reaction can be catalyzed by Pd（OAc）2 （5 mol%） in presence of Cs2CO3 at 50 ℃ or 80 ℃, and functionalized biaryls were obtained in good to excellent yields. This protocol is general and can tolerate a wide range of func- tional groups.

The present paper is devoted to studying the initial-boundary value problem of a 1-D wave equation with a nonlinear memory: u_(tt) - u_(xx) = 1/ Γ(1 - γ) ∫_0~t (t - s)^(-γ)|u(s)|~pds. The blow up result will be established when p > 1 and 0 < γ < 1, no matter how small the initial data are, by introducing two test functions and a new functional.

With the help of the symbolic computation system Maple, the Riccati equation mapping approach and a linear variable separation approach, a new family of complex solutions for the （2＋ 1）-dimensional Boiti-Leon-Pempinelli system （BLP） is derived. Based on the derived solitary wave solution, some novel complex wave localized excitations are obtained.
