Gene therapy for cardiovascular diseases has developed from preliminary animal experiments to clinical trials. However, vectors and target genes used currently in gene therapy are mainly focused on viral, nonviral vector and single target gene or monogene. Each vector system has a series of advantages and limitations. Chimeric vectors which combine the advantages of viral and nonviral vector, chimeric target genes which combine two or more target genes and novel gene delivery modes are being developed. In this article, we summarized the progress in chimeric vectors and chimeric genes based cardiovascular gene therapy, which including proliferative or occlusive vascular diseases such as atheroslerosis and restenosis, hypertonic vascular disease such as hypertension and cardiac diseases such as myocardium ischemia, dilated cardiomyopathy and heart failure, even heart transplantation. The development of chimeric vector, chimeric gene and their cardiovascular gene therapy is promising.

How to fit a properly nonlinear classification model from conventional well logs to lithofacies is a key problem for machine learning *** methods(e.g.,KFD,SVM,MSVM)are effective attempts to solve this issue due to abilities of handling nonlinear features by kernel *** mining of log features indicating lithofacies still needs to be improved for kernel ***,this work employs deep neural networks to enhance the kernel principal component analysis(KPCA)method and proposes a deep kernel method(DKM)for lithofacies identification using well *** includes a feature extractor and a *** feature extractor consists of a series of KPCA models arranged according to residual network structure.A gradient-free optimization method is introduced to automatically optimize parameters and structure in DKM,which can avoid complex tuning of parameters in *** test the validation of the proposed DKM for lithofacies identification,an open-sourced dataset with seven con-ventional logs(GR,CAL,AC,DEN,CNL,LLD,and LLS)and lithofacies labels from the Daniudi Gas Field in China is *** are eight lithofacies,namely clastic rocks(pebbly,coarse,medium,and fine sand-stone,siltstone,mudstone),coal,and carbonate *** comparisons between DKM and three commonly used kernel methods(KFD,SVM,MSVM)show that(1)DKM(85.7%)outperforms SVM(77%),KFD(79.5%),and MSVM(82.8%)in accuracy of lithofacies identification;(2)DKM is about twice faster than the multi-kernel method(MSVM)with good *** blind well test in Well D13 indicates that compared with the other three methods DKM improves about 24%in accuracy,35%in precision,41%in recall,and 40%in F1 score,*** general,DKM is an effective method for complex lithofacies *** work also discussed the optimal structure and classifier for *** re-sults show that(m_(1),m_(2),O)is the optimal model structure and linear svM is the optimal classifier.(m_(1),m_(2),O)means there

Objective: To analyze the genomic structure of SNC6, a progesterone\|receptor associated protein gene and its regulatory elements in its 5’\|flanking region. Methods: Genomic sequence from GenBank database (accession number: Z98048) covering the whole SNC6 gene was used to analyze the genomic structure of SNC6 and design primers for PCR amplification of its 5’\|flanking region. A 1894 bp fragment of the 5’\|flanking region \{(-1814\} to +75) was cloned by PCR using genomic DNA from a healthy donor peripheral blood lymphocyte as template. This fragment, as well as 3 shorter derivative fragments (1423 bp, 632 bp and 416 bp, which correspond to -1344 to +75, -552 to +75 and -337 to +75 respectively), were subcloned into pGL2 series luciferase reporter vectors. These constructs were introduced into colorectal cancer cell line SW620 for transient expression of reporter gene and luciferase activities were measured. Results: The genomic structure analysis showed there are 12 exons for SNC6 gene, which spans 32017 bp (nt71529 to nt39513 in Z98048 sequence). All transfected SW620 cells with the above 5\|flanking region\|containing constructs showed luciferase activities. The highest luciferase activities were measured in transfected cells with vectors containing 1894 bp fragments, and the lowest luciferase activities were measured in transfected cells with vectors containing 416 bp fragments. Luciferase activities were higher in transfected cells with vectors containing 632 bp fragments than that in transfected cells with vectors containing 1423 bp fragments. Conclusion: The basic transcription\|promoting element (promoter) for SNC6 expression resides between 0 to -337, and two transcription\|enhancing elements (enhancer) resides between -337 to -552 and -1344 to -1814, whereas one transcription\|inhibiting element (silencer) exists between -552 to -1344.

Catalytic hydrotreatment of humins into cyclic hydrocarbons over solid acid supported metal catalysts in cyclohexane

Humins are common undesirable sideproducts during many acid-catalyzed reactions in renewable biomass platform conversion. However, few studies have been reported to the efficient utilization of *** the first time, the selective catalytic conversion of biomass-derived humins into cyclic hydrocarbons with high conversion rate and selectivity is presented using a home-made Ru/W-P-Si-O bifunctional catalyst. The multistage polymerization structure of humins was studied through controlled *** show that the CAC bond network can be efficiently depolymerized at a mild reaction temperature of 340–380 °C, catalyzed by the cooperative catalysis of nano-Ru particles and porous strong Lewis solid acid. Particularly, 95.4% conversion of humins was achieved under the optimal condition with up to 88.3%yield of cyclic hydrocarbons. The detailed composition after liquefaction was also analyzed. This study paves the way for the efficient production of cyclic and aromatic hydrocarbons from furan-derived humin polymer through Lewis acid-catalyzed Diels–Alder reactions between furan rings.

This paper reports the results of the analyses of 17 different Hb variants which were observed in 37 families. High pressure liquid chromatography (HPLC) was used to separate tryptic and thermolytic peptides of globin chains. The double coupling microsequencing technique can successfully be used for sequencing small or larger peptides.

Objective: To study the effects of different concentrations of antisense oligodeoxynucleotides (ASODN) on human pancreatic cancer cell line PaTu8988s. Method: Human pancreatic cancer cell line PaTu8988s in exponential growth stage was used to study the effect of different drug concentrations on the cell line in the presence of different concentrations (0 μg/ml, 5 μg/ml, 25 μg/ml, 50 μg/ml, 10 μg/m, 200 μg/ml) of ASODN and sense oligodeoxynucleotides (SODN). Cell counts and 3\|\[4,5\|dimethylthiazolzyl\]\|2,5\|diphenyl tetrazolium bromide (MTT) assays were carried out. Results: The inhibitory rate on the cell line PaTu8988s was 98.73%,95.76%,\{69.49%,\}33.05% and 0 for ASODM concentrations of 200 μg/ml,100 μg/ml,50 μg/ml,25 μg/ml and 5 μg/ml at 48 hours. Conclusions: K\|ras complementary ASODN can inhibit the growth of human pancreatic cancer cell line PaTu8988s by 30.05% to 98.73%. This is likely to contribute to the specificity of the K\|ras mRNA complementary capped ASODN sequential codon. Non\|specific effect and side effect of ASOND were observed for instance, the greater the concentration is, the earlier the peak of inhibitory rate is reached. In concentration of 25 μg/ml to 100 μg/ml ASODN showed a dose\|effect correlation.
